Chapter 12 - The stain of the devil

The silver claws of the soldier clashed against the scorching hot talons of Leus. Sparks of fire flew out, both of them trembling from the force of the impact.

Leus easily caught the soldier in the air, his rotation halted by the pressure of the talons.

A scorching heat slowly spread from the azure blue flame, melting the soldier's claw, making him howl in pain. His silver fur burned from its magma-red heated claw, his blood boiling from the heat. His forehead popped with veins as he howled in agony against Leus's cruel smile.

Not caring about its pain, he cruelly let it go, falling towards the bottom. But before the relief of survival reached his pores, Leus swiftly flew under him and impaled its body.

The hot talons cut through his fur, organs and bones as if it were paper, making his blood drip, which evaporated from the heat.

The air was heavily flooded with the burning smell of the flesh.

The soldier took his last breath between the agony of his scorching talons, thinking, 'I was too naive, a phoenix will always remain one.

Looking arrogantly at the creature, Leus dropped it on the ground and went to search for Morvadeus, who was brought far away from them. He flew anxiously, praying

'Don't die, my little friend, I am coming.

Morvadeus was holding his side, blood gushing out between his fingers, his fuzzy vision looked towards the blurry figure, cruelly smiling at him.

Suddenly, everything disappeared, blood washed before his gaze, and a smirking red devil appeared before his eyes. Its evil gaze looked at him, while its claws were tearing a beautiful woman, unknown to him, into pieces.

The woman's snow-white face turned towards him, with a smile weakly plastered on her face. A teardrop slowly fell her face while she gazed at his outstretched hands.

But as if a distance of eternity separated them, Morvadeus could only powerlessly be a spectator of the devil's act, tearing her into pieces.

The last image of his evil eyes burned into Morvadeus's mind.

Looking at the pitiful child, the soldier, without an ounce of mercy, was ready to end the child's wastrel life.

Clanking his claws together, it lunged at him, wanting to tear him into pieces.

As if time slowed down, Morvadeus' body echoed with cracking sounds, stopping the soldier in its tracks.

His limbs weirdly flailed around, his fingers broke backwards with scarlet-red claws protruding out of them.

Blood streamed down his face, leaving deep crimson marks on his cheeks. His beautiful silver eyes, flooding with blood, slowly turned into the scarlet-red gaze of evil.

Opening its mouth, sharp teeth showed as an inhuman howl came out of it, freezing the soldier's blood in its body. He looked eye to eye with the child's cold-blooded eyes, transformed into an evil monster.

The bloodthirsty aura sent a chill down his back, scratching his heart inside. He held his claw forward, ready if he attacked.

"You're just a child, these puny tricks won't work on me," he howled in anger, his voice echoing with fear, and lunged towards Morvadeus.

Morvadeus, meanwhile, found himself in a crimson ocean, diving uncontrolled deeper and deeper towards its abyssal bottom, as if it was trying to swallow him.

No matter how he flailed, how he moved or how he tried to yell. His voice was swallowed by the water, and a powerless feeling ran through his body.

His body outside moved from pure instinct, each movement echoing with the cracking sounds of the bones. He appeared before the soldier, his blood-red claws clashing with the soldier's, instantly decimating it from his wrist.

Morvadeus howled continuously, attacking the soldier while its agony filled howl's echoed between the trees.

The soldier's trembling eyes looked towards the child in fear, as Morvadeus licked its claws stained with his blood, making him step back in terror

The embodiment of a cold-blooded evil monster appearing in a child made even an experienced soldier fall into terror.

Cracks appeared on Morvadeus' body, black-red energy shadowing from it out, continuously healing, a cycle of destruction and rebirth. The cracks swarmed through his whole body, making him look like a savage killer.

The soldier tried to defend itself, but Morvadeus relentlessly assaulted it, leaving deep wounds with every attack, his own body cracks widening.

Two ancient beasts roared suddenly, stopping him in his tracks. As he was falling deeper in the water, he gazed at two pairs of eyes.

A jade white draco appeared, glimmering with a halo, together with a pitch-black one, darker than the abyss itself.

The abyss draco looked at him and said, "Don't be lost fighting against the evil inside you"

The jade draco also said, "Be the one controlling him, make his powers yours, with your sheer willpower."

"You're destined to soar at the highs unknown to the gods, don't let him bring you down," their voices echoed.

"I will help you this time", the pitch-black Draco said.

Morvadeus' body, filled with cracks ready to fall apart, was slowly changing as he stood before the confused soldier, who was on the brink of death.

Suddenly, clutching his head, he howled in pain. The bounds of cracking echoed, and the tearing of flesh painted a sight into the soldier's mind. A pitch-black horn appeared, splashing his blood apart.

His scarlet claws turned into abyss dark claws, his arms covered with scales, and he gazed at the soldier with eyes deeper than the bottom of the world.

His pitch-black eyes looked at him, arrogantly stared down on him, but he was powerless to do anything against them.

"Pray for your luck, that in your next life you won't be an enemy of the bearer of our bloodline," a deep voice echoed from Morvadeus without his mouth moving.

Clutching the soldier's silver-furred neck, and looking at his hatred-filled eyes, Morvadeus other hand thrust his claws towards his heart.

Easily slashed through its armour, deep into its body, destroying its organs on the way. Clutching the silver core inside him and looking at his pitiful eyes screaming with agony, he tore it from his body.

Morvadeus' mouth cracked, widening. Putting the core in his mouth, he gnashed at it with his sharp teeth, easily crushing it.

A silver liquid leaked from the core, circulating straight into his body.

His skeleton, with a beast-like hunger starved for aeons, easily absorbed it. Wounds apparent to the naked eye healed, his pitch-black eyes slowly fading, his horn dissolving.

The soldier's body fell lifelessly to the ground, blood soaking his silver fur.

Leus arrived just in time to see Morvadeus' body falling backwards. Looking at the soldier's disfigured body with his organs flowing out and a hole in the middle, Leus's blood froze in his heart.

'Who are you, Morvadeus? Or what are you?' Leus asked, and flying away, he brought Morvadeus towards Orange.

In the midst of the battle, the prince stopped, not feeling the aura of his two soldiers anymore.

He angrily howled, his pitch-black fangs gnashing, "How can they die?"

'These were elite soldiers of our kingdom,' the prince anxiously thought.

'My father will surely punish me when I arrive home'

"You all will pay for this," he howled at Orange, who was surprised at his sudden outburst.

"Are your all family this brain-dead?" Orange asked him.

"I will bury your corpses deep under the forest, making it forgotten in the time of the abyss", the prince shouted at them, as his moon-shaped crown glowed.

Two colossal hands, appearing behind him, took hold of his now massive crown. Separating into two blades, a giant similar to him appeared, wielding his moon blades majestically. His avatar glowed with a silver halo, a symbol of Regnum Vargheim, glimmering on his forehead, with a golden light.

'He got serious,' Orange thought, looking at him calling his avatar out. Her third eye twitched, and a massive rune flew out in front of the giant.

A circle light appeared, and a nine-tailed fox slowly surfaced from it. Each of her tails sizzled with lightning. Standing on its two legs, each of her hands held a tornado-shaped wind blade.

The two clashed instantly, the battle of the avatars evaporating the air, and their clash made the earth tremble.

Wielding his moon blades, the prince avatar elegantly attacked the fox, who defended with its wind blades against it. Each controlled his avatar precisely, the fight of the bloodlines.

But Orange's avatar moved swifter, her attacks clearly aimed better. She gained the upper hand, showcasing her ancient bloodline.

Sparks of lightning flew from the fox's tail as it attacked, aiming for the head of the avatar. The defenceless avatar's hands, occupied against the wind blades, couldn't do anything.

The swift tails of the fox instantly pierced its head, making it dissolve in the air. Meanwhile, they also fought relentlessly, but the backlash of losing his own avatar made him cough up blood.

Taking her chance, Orange punched his abdomen with his massive paw, sending him flying.

The prince destroyed half of the forest, flying through the trees and finally crashing into a massive boulder, which cracked and fell apart.

"A puny puppy should stay behind his mother, before it grows up" Orange shouted at him.

The prince coughed up more blood, a deep imprint of a paw made breathing difficult, each time his lungs contracted.

Looking at the Orange, his eyes filled with a loser gaze combined with a killing intent, he howled at her and said.

"This is not the end of it. I will tell my father, and our whole Empire will hunt you down"

"You need to live, to tell the tale of my victory," she grinned and attacked him, ready to end his pitiful life.

The prince hatefully glared at her, taking out a moon-shaped pendant, it glowed with a radiating light, blinding Orange. Before her paw could reach him, he turned into a small ray of light, escaping from her.

'The prince with its crown cracked, pitifully escaped from the ancient Orange' she thought happily.

Suddenly, an azure blue phoenix flew beside her with Morvadeus clutched under his claws.

Gently putting him down, he asked.

"What happened?,"

"I won, that's what happened," Orange wanted to proudly say, but choked down on his words as someone arrogantly answered.

"We found you, you little scoundrel," two ancient beast covering the moon floated above them.
