Chapter 2 - The fallen star

An alluring woman bathed herself in the spring: silver-white hair cascading down her back, her exquisite silver eyes gazed at the open night sky through the glass ceiling.

Rays of moonlight accentuated her massive, jade peaks, the pink circles barely hidden, floating, halfway in the water.

Suddenly, a massive impact echoed through the horizon, disturbing her peace.

The Mortal World seal which stood there since ancient times, vibrated trying to fight the incoming invader.

The object tore through it as if it was a sheet of paper, and headed straight to the residence of the Empress.

A cultivator seeing his chance tried to escape, through the gap in between the seal. The seal instantly regenerated, cutting him in half in the process.

The naked woman surprised, jumped, out of the spring, as the blazing object shattered the glass ceiling, shaking the whole palace with its impact, evaporating the water.

The awoken residents urgently headed searching for the Empress, fearing something happened to her.

The Empress yelled, while hastily dressing up, covering her body. Her pitch-black robe, embroidered with the Elarion symbol accentuated her curves.

"Stay outside, don't come in, don't worry about me, I'm fine." Her aura instantly silenced everyone.

As the steam cleared, her eyes caught sight of a small child.

His shoulder length silver hair, was painted with crimson-red at the ends. Traces of tears marked his face, clearly showing his tragic past.

Her heart instantly chilled at the sight of the bloodied child, without even thinking she called Elyndra in.

Running inside on the call of her sister, her purple hair tingled as the crystals in its strand-ends compacted together.

Looking at her funny sister, with her wet hair sticking to her slim shoulders and disheveled dress she wanted to laugh.

Halting her steps, she open mouthed looked at the kid laying in the bottom of the spring.

Getting to her sister's side she whispered. "Did you give birth, what happened?"

Smacking her on the back, Sylpha's face angrily remarked: "Do I look like I had a two year old child in me?"

"Let's help him, we will figure the rest out later"

'Through the months, they had difficulty with the boy. Who always remained silent, with his melancholic eyes gazing towards the sky.'

'The peaceful Elarion and its residents helped him regain a bit of his vitality.'

… 1 year later …

A boy was sitting in front of Sylpha, listening to her explanation of the world.

Morvadeus fuzzy memories, surged in his mind. Filling with blood, sadness, and thirst for revenge. The unknown feelings, and the long forgotten memories made his mood heavy.

His crimson ending silver hair was neatly combed, making him look like a prince of an empire. His childish but melancholic face was distracted. Looking at the colourful birds playing on the palace window, Morvadeus imagined himself in their place.

Playing, being free of worry and not caring about the world.

To be free as the birds, and to fly towards the unknown horizon, from where I had fallen.

I need to grow strong, to uncover the secrets of my origins.

Looking at the melancholic faced Morvadeus, distracted by the playing of the birds, Sylpha wondered what was going through his mind.

He never talked about his past, he only told them his name, Morvadeus.

Suddenly flicking his forehead, awaking him from the stupor, his mother exclaimed loudly.

"Morvadeus, pay attention to me. The structure of our World is crucial"

Gently holding his hand, looking seriously in his eyes she continued:

"Maybe you look down on this World, but it has places and creatures far more dangerous than you could imagine.

For your safety, study diligently and cultivate every day".

"Yes mother, I'm sorry," Morvadeus watery eyes looked at her apologizing sincerely, while he held his now red forehead comically.

Sylpha's heart melted, since a while he started calling her mother, making her feel that their connection deepened.

"It's time for your training with Castiel. I'm sure he is eagerly waiting for you," Sylpha looking at the time exclaimed.

Morvadeus bidding farewell, went towards Castiel Hall.

Tiny steps echoed through the Royal Corridor, a small figure with a straight posture was heading towards Castiel's Hall.

His black robe, embroidered with distinct symbols of the Elarion Empire touched the ground, a little bit long for him.

The lion's head, with its fangs bigger than Morvadeus himself welcomed his presence.

"Uncle, Castiel. I arrived," he shouted, waiting patiently for the huge Aethel-Stal doors, to open.

The movement of the lion head, broke the silence of the corridor. Closed massive jaws began to open, a roar reverberating inside.

Its eyes glowed with golden light, gazing at the child, making Morvadeus feel like he gazed at a beast, wanting to devour him.

The colossal lion jaws opened fully, and before he could enter a deep voice reverberated.

"Morvadeus, welcome again," Castiel deep roaring voice, shook his ears. His towering frame, cast a shadow on Morvadeus. Beast like muscles, nearly ripping his training robe apart.

"Uncle Castiel, no need to yell I'm in front of you," sighing he continued:

"My mother sent me to train with you"

"Come inside, let's start right away, I wouldn't want to test the patience of our future emperor, ha ha," his laugh resonated, making Morvadeus blush.

A spacious underground space encompassed mountains, rivers, and trees. Up in the sky a miniature sun, lit up the whole area, forming its own world.

Both child and adult faced at each other, each in their stance, dressed in training robes.

Morvadeus was the first to move, ground sank below his feet, he lunged at his opponent, ready to tear it apart. Dust kicked up behind him, his speed swift as the wind.

Castiel calmly welcomed its brave challenger, prepared to train him to his utmost knowledge.

Grinning, Morvadeus white teeth showed, gazing at him as if he was a prey, ready to be hunted down.

His power hungry eyes glowed with a crimson glint, his little frame surging with strength.

"Receive my attack ," Morvadeus shouted, a loud sound echoing as his fist met the opponent blocking hand.

Castiel easily deflected, getting a hold of his wrist, he swung him upwards. Flinging him high into the air.

Morvadeus could only helplessly accept his fate. But he wasn't powerless, he positioned his body and his legs were ready to swing downwards, aimed at the head of his opponent.

Castiel footprints imprinted in the ground blocking Morvadeus oncoming kick, surprised by the explosiveness of his power.

As the battle commenced, Morvadeus excitement surged, making his thirst for the battle rise.

His relentless attacks, signalled the start of his rampage to Castiel. He prepared to receive it, watching every movement of Morvadeus, ready to stop it, if it goes too far.

Morvadeus started to lose himself, in the heat of the battle. His surging memories, awakened, making him thirst for blood. His savage beast-like attack, didn't show a sign of his learned techniques.

Looking at the, crazed state of his. Castiel acknowledged that he lost himself again.

Getting ready, he aimed his fist at Morvadeus.

Suddenly feeling the air, getting forced out of his lungs, Morvadeus crimson eyes turned back silver as the power of Castiel's punch sent him flying.

"Wake up, child. You need to control yourself," warned Castiel.

"I know, I apologize, but fighting you always makes my body excited," explained Morvadeus.

Taking a deep breath his voice getting lower, he said

"But, every time I get reminded of something, I lose myself, and all I see is blood," he sadly complained, making Castiel's heart wrench in pain.
