Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Shrek Enrollment

Shrek City—

This was the city established by Shrek Academy. During this period, the city was especially overcrowded. Of course, Shrek City had always had an enormous population—after all, the number one academy on the continent, Shrek Academy, was located here.

Looking back several thousand years, during the great war between the Sun Moon Continent and Douluo Continent, it was the Dean of Shrek Academy who rallied over sixty Titled Douluo with a single call, ultimately repelling the invasion and dealing the Sun Moon Empire a devastating blow.

Today was the annual day when Shrek Academy admitted new students into its outer courtyard.

Wuu—Wuu—Boom—

A dull roar echoed from the distance, drawing countless gazes. A streak of purple-black shot toward them from afar.

"What is that?"

"Probably some kind of new soul tool."

"It looks so cool."

The purple-black figure came to a stop at the eastern gate of Shrek City. A person dressed in a black, tight-fitting riding suit sat astride a peculiar-looking soul tool vehicle.

The figure wore a pitch-black helmet. In the next instant, the helmet automatically disassembled, revealing an extremely handsome face.

"Shrek City… finally here. Seriously, what was Father thinking, making me come study at Shrek Academy? Do I even need to study here?"

The young man looked at Shrek City with a speechless expression. Countless people would go to great lengths just to gain admission to Shrek Academy, yet his tone made it seem like attending was entirely unnecessary for him.

"Whatever. I'm already here—might as well take a look. Hopefully it won't disappoint me."

The young man dismounted from his soul tool motorcycle. The bracelet on his wrist flashed, storing the vehicle away. He then walked straight toward the eastern gate, where Shrek Academy students were registering new applicants.

"Name."

"Su Yunlin."

"Home address."

"Heavenly Soul Empire, Heaven Dou City."

"Letter of recommendation."

The black-clad youth named Su Yunlin was the same person who had just arrived in spectacular fashion on the soul tool vehicle. He was now registering his admission information.

The Shrek student handling registration glanced at Su Yunlin with some confusion. This guy was way too tall, wasn't he? Although Spirit Masters matured early, most applicants were around eleven years old.

But this Su Yunlin was actually 1.8 meters tall—almost like an adult. Eleven years old? And on top of that, his looks were simply outrageous. So handsome! He'd be incredibly popular in the academy.

The Shrek student grumbled inwardly but continued his duty. "Age, Spirit Power rank."

Su Yunlin replied, "Three months short of twelve. As for Spirit Power… Level 36."

"Eleven years old, Level 36—wait! How much?" The student looked up in shock. The other Shrek students responsible for registration also turned to look, equally astonished.

Eleven years old, Level 36—what kind of monster was this?! Although Shrek Academy prided itself on nurturing monsters, this was excessive! Being handsome was one thing, but having such high cultivation too—how was anyone else supposed to live?

There were two requirements for admission into Shrek Academy's outer courtyard: first, one must be under twelve years old; second, one's Spirit Power must not be below Level 15.

This one clearly exceeded the standard by a large margin. Several female students nearby stared at the tall and handsome youth, their eyes practically sparkling.

The registering student took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Junior, what is your Martial Soul? I'll record it. After that, you can take your badge and dormitory key."

Su Yunlin replied, "Martial Soul—Dark Night Sovereign Moth."

"Alright! Here's your dormitory key, your Shrek Academy badge, and the freshman guide. Please keep them safe."

Su Yunlin glanced at the items and nodded. "Thanks."

He walked straight past the enrollment area and headed into Shrek Academy. He saw the teaching buildings, each distinguished by different colors corresponding to Spirit Rings, making it easy to tell which were for higher-level and lower-level students.

"Oof!"

Just as Su Yunlin was admiring the scenery, someone suddenly bumped into him. Su Yunlin merely swayed slightly, while the other person fell straight to the ground.

"Sorry, sorry—I didn't mean to bump into you." The boy looked around eleven or twelve.

He was thin and small, clearly undernourished. He wore simple gray cloth clothes that were nonetheless clean, with a small bundle strapped to his back.

At this moment, he was apologizing to Su Yunlin. It was indeed his fault for not paying attention.

Su Yunlin didn't think much of it and extended a hand to help him up. "Are you okay?"

The boy shook his head. "I'm fine, I'm fine. Sorry, I got too absorbed in the scenery and didn't notice you. I even knocked your things over."

"Hey! Yuhao, what happened? Beibei and I were only gone for a moment and you already—whoa! Beibei! What a handsome guy! He's so good-looking!"

A young man and woman walked over. The one who spoke was the girl. She was extremely pretty, with a lively and spirited aura.

The young man beside her was tall and upright, with deep blue hair that shimmered like gemstones under the sunlight. He exuded a refined and gentle demeanor, with a faint, lazy smile on his handsome face.

Both wore Shrek Academy uniforms, clearly students of the academy.

"Hehe, handsome guy, are you a new student? My name is Tang Ya—you can call me Sister Xiaoya. Nice to meet you." Tang Ya was lively and outgoing, the type to become familiar quickly.

Meanwhile, the young man beside her looked at Su Yunlin with a hint of caution. This guy was just too handsome. In his experience, there probably wasn't anyone in Shrek Academy who could surpass this black-clad youth in looks.

He tugged at Tang Ya before clearing his throat and speaking in a friendly tone. "This little brother should be a new student this year. My name is Beibei, a fourth-year outer courtyard student. Welcome to Shrek Academy."

Su Yunlin nodded, then prepared to pick up the items that had fallen to the ground.

However, the boy named Yuhao had already picked them up and handed them over. "Sorry, classmate. I bumped into you just now—I apologize."

Su Yunlin shook his head, taking back his badge and dormitory key. "It's fine."

With that, he left, leaving behind a strikingly handsome silhouette.

Tang Ya clung to Beibei's arm and exclaimed excitedly, "Wow—so handsome! And so cool! If I didn't have Beibei, I'd definitely go after that guy!"

Beibei's mouth twitched. He reached out and pinched Tang Ya's cheek. "The speed at which your heart changes really hurts me. Without a kiss, I won't recover."

Tang Ya stuck out her tongue playfully. "Bleh! Yuhao, let's go—I'll take you to the dorms."

At that moment, Huo Yuhao looked at the dormitory key in his hand and thought, Did I take the wrong key? I remember my room number was 108—why did it become 110?

"Hey! Yuhao, what are you spacing out for? This sect master is talking to you!" Tang Ya puffed her cheeks, looking adorably annoyed.

"Sorry, Teacher Xiaoya, my mistake. Let's go."

Tang Ya pinched Huo Yuhao's cheek. "Since your master is magnanimous, just grill me one extra fish and we'll call it even."

"Okay!"

Meanwhile, at the Shrek Academy registration area—

A fair-skinned and handsome youth entered Shrek City. This young person had short pink-blue hair, and "his" eyes were the same color, shining beautifully under the sunlight.

"This lord has finally arrived at Shrek Academy. Let me see—Dormitory 108! Hmph! Whoever's inside will be thrown out by me!"

This pink-blue-haired youth also stepped into Shrek Academy.
