Chapter 14 - Everything He Couldn’t Control

💜 MORNING AFTER ☀️

Morning came quietly.

Too quietly.

You opened your eyes slowly.

For a second—

You forgot.

Then you saw it.

The room.

The outfit from last night placed aside.

The ring on your finger.

And it all came back.

You were married.

You sat up slowly.

Your head slightly heavy.

Your body tired.

Across the room—

Taehyung was already awake.

Standing near the window.

Back facing you.

Like he didn't belong in this space either.

You got up.

Adjusted your hair.

Didn't say anything.

Neither did he.

💜 SMALL, AWKWARD MOMENTS

You walked to the washroom.

Came back.

He moved slightly.

Avoiding your path.

Even that small moment—

Felt awkward.

"Breakfast is downstairs," he said finally.

You nodded.

"Okay."

No eye contact.

No emotion.

Just…

two people sharing a space

that didn't feel like theirs.

💜 DINING TABLE

Families were still around.

"Good morning," your mom smiled.

You smiled back politely.

Taehyung sat beside you.

Close.

But distant.

"Go to office today?" someone asked.

"Yes," Taehyung replied.

You looked at him slightly.

So normal.

Like yesterday didn't happen.

"Me too," you added.

No one questioned it.

Because from the outside—

Everything looked perfect.

💜 OFFICE AGAIN

Same building.

Same desks.

Same people.

But now—

You were married.

And no one knew how to act.

"Should we congratulate again?" someone joked softly.

You smiled politely.

Taehyung didn't react.

Just walked into his cabin.

💜 MEETING ROOM 😈

"Let's start."

The meeting began.

You presented your report.

Clear.

Detailed.

Confident.

You had worked on it late last night.

Even after everything.

"This is the updated strategy," you finished.

Silence.

Then—

Taehyung spoke.

"This won't work."

Your expression changed slightly.

"Why?"

"It's not practical."

"It is," you replied calmly."I've checked all variables."

He shook his head.

"No. You missed the risk factor."

"I didn't."

The room went quiet.

People looked between you both.

Because this—

Didn't feel like a normal discussion.

"Manager Y/n," he said, tone sharper now,"don't argue without thinking."

That line hit.

You straightened slightly.

"I am thinking."

A pause.

"And I'm not wrong."

Silence dropped heavily.

💜 ARGUMENT 🔥

Taehyung leaned forward.

"You're being emotional."

That was it.

You frowned.

"This is work. Not personal."

"Then act like it."

Your voice stayed calm.

But firm.

"I did my job."

"And I'm telling you it's not good enough."

His voice rose slightly.

Not shouting.

But enough.

The tension in the room—

Uncomfortable.

Finally, someone intervened—

"Let's review both points again."

The meeting ended like that.

Unresolved.

But the damage?

Already done.

💜 AFTER OFFICE

The drive home was silent.

You didn't sit together.

Didn't talk.

Everything felt—

Heavy.

💜 NIGHT — HOME

You entered the house.

Tired.

Drained.

You placed your bag down.

Removed your heels.

And finally—

Exhaled.

"You embarrassed me today."

His voice.

You turned slowly.

"What?"

Taehyung stood there.

Anger visible now.

"In front of everyone."

You frowned.

"I was doing my job."

"No," he said sharply,"you were arguing like it was personal."

Your expression hardened slightly.

"It wasn't."

"It clearly was."

💜 HIS ANGER BURST 😡

Something snapped in him.

"Everything with you becomes complicated!"

Your heart jumped.

"I didn't do anything wrong—"

"That's the problem!" he raised his voice.

You froze.

"You never do anything wrong, right?"

His words—

Sharp.

Unfair.

"You were there that day—"

That sentence.

Again.

You stepped back slightly.

"And now this—"

He continued,

"You just don't think about consequences!"

Your eyes filled slightly.

"I didn't do anything!" you said louder this time.

"Exactly!" he shouted.

Silence.

Heavy.

Painful.

Because that didn't even make sense.

💜 BREAKING POINT

You looked at him.

Hurt.

Confused.

"I worked all night on that report…"

Your voice cracked slightly.

"I tried to do everything right…"

He didn't stop.

"Then try harder!"

That line—

Hit the hardest.

Because you already were.

💜 FINAL MOMENT

You went quiet.

Didn't argue anymore.

Didn't defend yourself.

Just…

stood there.

Then softly—

"I'm tired."

That's all you said.

And walked away.

💜 END SCENE

You sat on the bed.

Silent.

Tears finally falling.

Not loudly.

Not dramatically.

Just…

quietly.

Because sometimes—

It's not the words.

It's the fact that—

You weren't wrong.

And still—

You were the one hurting.

Outside—

Taehyung stood alone.

Breathing heavy.

Anger still there.

But somewhere deep inside—

Something didn't feel right.

Because he knew—

You didn't deserve that.
