" WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE ? "
I turned towards the direction of the speaker and it was Carl from before and this time he was carrying a big backpack on his back
The guy i least wanted to see before but was thankful that he was here now...
He rushed here and upon hearing his voice , that dog finally diverted his attention and ran towards him with his tongue still out and jumped on him
He then put the dog down and knelt beside it and said " calm down , A-aron "
A-aron , what weird name that dog had...
I must say my name is hundred time better than that dog
Carl finally claimed his dog ' A-aron ' down and finally looked up and spoke towards the still hanging Decimus
" Kid , are you gonna stay up there for the whole day or get the hell down "
I then noticed that I was still hanging this whole time so I finally got down
The dog also looked towards me again and i flinched slightly
Carl noticed and said " Don't be scared of him , he will not bite you ...
He just wanted to play with you , that's all "
I nodded my head as if understanding each and every word
Then after that I suddenly remembered my problem and finally decided to ask him
" Hey , can I- uhh ask you where is the west direction? "
He then gave me a look of how someone look at a fool
" The west is that way " he said pointing toward a certain direction
I nodded and looked toward the direction he was pointing...
I then immediately thanked him and was about to head off in that direction when suddenly he came towards me and said
" I too am going in that direction so it will be better for us to go that way together , kid "
I turned around upon hearing this and was happy on one side that I had someone's company on this journey while also feeling somewhat anxious that I have to stay in his company
While I was in my thoughts, he had already gotten ahead of me by some distance
I then turned around and shouted " Hey!! Wait for me !!! "
And ran behind them to cover the distance

The weather in wasteland is unpredictable, one moment it's sunny and the next moment, you know it's suddenly raining
That's how this was , when they departed from the town of Roosevelt it was bright hot sunny weather and now in just a hour it was cloudy
" Be quick kid , even my grandma used to walk faster than you "
This guy was Carl going along with his dog A-aron and behind them was Decimus
Decimus back was bended and he was breathing heavily
" I-is your grandma even alive now ? "
But Carl did not answered it and pretended to ignore Decimus questions
" Hey atleast tell me , how far is it ? "
Finally Carl lost his temper and said " listen here lad , this is the fifth time in an hour that you have asked me the same question... "
Decimus flinched and his posture became even more closed
Suddenly some tears formed in his eyes , although he behaved like a adult in reality he was just a ten year old kid who was away from his home , all alone
Seeing tears forming in Decimus eyes , Carl finally stopped and then he went towards a nearby overgrown tree beside the railway line
Decimus wiped his tears and followed him
Only when they reached a little distance , did carl stopped and then he found a tree and sat under it , tree was big enough to serve as a cover as to be not spotted from railway line
Then he pulled out that same alcohol bottle from before and began drinking it while A-aron just calmly sat beside him and began then looking toward carl and then towards Decimus
Decimus too began to sat down there opposite to carl but then carl interrupted and said while pointing toward a nearby spot
" Sit there , you will not be visible from there "
" Why , who do I need to hide from ? " Asked Decimus ,his eyes still red from previous crying
" Folks in the wasteland are unforgiving and this old western railway is the major travel route here so it's better to be careful "
I nodded and sat down in the position he mentioned , i noticed bush around this position which indeed served as a cover
I then looked towards my uniform , it was dirty and covered in mud , now that I think about it
I haven't even been cleaned , I moved my nose towards my armpit
" Uhhh " , it was unbearable
" What happened ? " Carl looked toward me
" Nothing " , carl then noticed my face for a second and said nothing more and went back to drinking
I then felt my back giving up so I directly without a care laid down there on the grass
It was pointy but right now anything was alright...
