Chapter 3 - The First Experiment

The beginning was not loud…

Nor bloody…

Nor even noticeable.

Rather, it was… precise.

Like a tiny idea planted in an unsuspecting mind,

Then left to grow…

Until it destroys its owner from within.

The next day…

The world did not change.

People were still laughing, talking, living…

As if nothing had happened.

As for him…

He looked at them as a scientist looks at insects under a microscope.

No hatred.

No pity.

Only… interest.

Inside the lecture hall,

He sat in his usual spot.

Voices overlapped,

Faces moved,

And the black words… drifted.

"Lie"

"Jealousy"

"Contempt"

"Desire"

They no longer shocked him.

Instead, they became… data.

Then, he chose him.

He wasn't the strongest…

Nor the weakest…

Nor the most important.

He was… ordinary.

And that is what made him perfect.

**Selim.**

A quiet young man, who laughed often and spoke with everyone.

Above his head… a single word:

**"Fragility"**

He sat watching him for some time…

Watching his movements, his tone, his way of interacting.

Then… he began.

He didn't speak to him directly.

It didn't require that.

He approached a small group that was talking…

And said a passing sentence, in a natural tone:

"It's strange how some people laugh all the time…

But that's usually just to hide something."

He didn't look at Selim.

But he…

Made sure Selim heard it.

Minutes passed.

Nothing happened.

And that… was expected.

The next day…

He sat beside him.

A short silence…

Then he said, as if thinking out loud:

"Have you ever felt like people see you differently than who you really are?"

Selim smiled… an ordinary smile.

"We're all like that a bit."

He shook his head slowly…

"Not all of us."

Silence.

Then… the conversation ended.

He didn't push.

He didn't elaborate.

He didn't spoil the experiment.

Instead… he let the idea work.

In the following days…

The change began.

Subtle…

Then obvious.

Selim no longer laughed the same way.

He became more silent.

More hesitant.

And the word above his head…

Was no longer just one.

"Fragility"

"Doubt"

In that moment…

He felt something.

Not pleasure…

Nor happiness…

But… confirmation.

"The mind doesn't need force to be broken…

Only… the right idea at the right time."

But he didn't stop.

Instead… he took another step.

On one occasion,

He approached him… and said calmly:

"You know… there are people around you who think you're acting all the time."

Selim snapped his gaze toward him.

"Who?"

He offered a faint smile…

"It doesn't matter who… what matters is that they see it that way."

Then he left.

That night…

Selim did not sleep.

The next day…

The word had changed once again.

**"Collapse"**

He stood watching him from a distance…

With total calm.

As if he were observing a successful trial.

But at that moment…

The voice appeared.

Cold… clear… inside him.

> **[Analysis: Unstable psychological state]**

> **[Caused: Increase in doubt by 37%]**

> **[Reward: +3 Dark Points]**

> **[Skill Unlocked: Whisper of Doubt]**

He wasn't surprised.

He didn't retreat.

Instead… he closed his eyes for a moment.

"So… this is the price."

He opened his eyes slowly…

And looked at Selim… who was silently collapsing in front of everyone.

Then he whispered…

In a voice heard by no one:

"I did nothing…

I only… revealed what was already inside you."

But the truth…

Was not that innocent.

Because, in that moment…

He was no longer just an observer.

He had become…

A trigger.

And yet…

There was one thing he had not yet realized.

That this…

Was not just an experiment.

It was…

The first step in a much larger game.

And somewhere…

Beyond the limits of his understanding…

> **[Recorded: Beginning of Deviation]**

> **[Assessment: Stable]**

> **[Path: Trending toward Darkness]**

…And the System,

Was still smiling.

**One question to guide the narrative:** Should our protagonist continue testing his "Whisper of Doubt" on unsuspecting classmates, or should he set his sights on a more challenging target—perhaps a professor or someone with actual authority?
