The cars stopped just right at the boarder.
Three of them. Black SUVs , lined up after each other. Darius stood at the border, arms at his sides, and watched them through the morning grey like he had been expecting them.
He hadn't. But he wasn't suprised either.
Those were two different things.
Behind him, he could feel his warriors shifting — the subtle repositioning of bodies, the quiet recalibration of wolves who had learned to read his movements and prepare accordingly.
Good.
The doors opened.
He eyes fixated on the figures emerging from the car in the middle . He knew that those were the one he had to deal with…the others were pawn…his men could deal with them.
They were five. Two older male who carried themselves with precision and dignity but he knew better. Behind them were three younger men and judging by their stance , they were either warriors or officials.
Darius knew the elders too well.
