Third Person's POV:
Ariana and the Parkers went to the room and Ariana looked around. She noticed that there wasn't anything unusual. She immediately typed on her mobile phone and showed it to them.
'We are surrounded. Head to the safe room immediately. Don't panic. Help is on the way.'
The Parker couple immediately paled. They had never encountered these citations and now that they were facing it they were terrified beyond words. Despite this they nodded their heads and headed to the safe room.
She went with them in it and checked around the room. There was surveillance installed around the house and the monitors were installed here to check on the situation.
She checked and saw that there were around nine to ten men surrounding the house. They were at a considerable distance so if nobody paid a close look they wouldn't know that they were there. She immediately sent the notification on the group chat about their location and numbers.
There were weapons stored here for the emergency. Ariana quickly took guns and strapped it on her jeans. She took three guns for Matteo and Gabriel also. It was better to have extra weapons. She knew that he was not carrying any weapons and it was fatal not to have any weapons in these situations.
She took the long range rifle for herself as that was what she was most comfortable with. After all, she was a sharp shooter. She also took daggers and extra bullets.
"Mom, dad, close the door behind me and do not open it. When it's safe we will come and get you. Also don't come out no matter what happens." She said to them seriously.
"But where are you going Ari?" Evan asked.
"I am going outside. I have to help my twinnie and papa. You guys are safe here so don't worry. Nothing will happen to anyone. We have already informed my brothers." Ariana said.
"But can't you stay here with us?" Hollan said.
There was fear in both of their eyes and it was breaking her heart to see them in this state but she knew that with the mafia it was bound to happen. All she could do was keep them safe and away from harm's way.
"I know that you guys are scared but it is not the time to get scared. Be confident in me and the mafia. We will all be fine. Now I have to go down. Immediately close the door and lock it properly." Ariana said with a serious expression on her face, not giving them any chance to say anything.
She walked out briskly and gestured to them to lock the door. As the Parker couple locked the door they felt as if they were losing her. They didn't know why but they were both feeling this way. They get even more nervous. They knew that they couldn't do anything in this situation so they didn't try to hinder them. They can only stay there so that they won't distract her in grave situations and be a burden to her.
As Ariana watched the door being locked she let out a relieved sigh. She knew that they would be safe at least. She quickly felt relaxed as she knew that the most important work was complete.
Her parents' safety.
She went downstairs and laid the weapons that she had taken from the safe room. Matteo and Gabriel took the weapons. Ariana also took the weapons that she wanted.
"Papa, what is our strategy?" She asked him.
"There are nine to ten people as you have notified us and the backup is on the way. They would be here within..." Just as he was saying this, they heard a loud bang from the door.
They quickly turned to see that the door was shattered in pieces. They all quickly took cover. The enemies started firing as soon as they entered. They all had plenty of weapons and manpower while the three of them didn't have much.
Despite this, they immediately took their positions and started firing back. The atmosphere was very tense.
This was the first time Ariana was shooting at someone. Before this she always used to practice on shooting targets. But this time it was a real fight, not like practice.
Ariana felt her hands shake. She quickly clenched her fists and tried to calm herself down. She knew that she had to steady herself. She can't get weak at this moment.
She took deep breaths and...aimed her rifle at the enemies that had rushed in. She pulled the trigger before she could think anything else and...bang. The shot landed on the man's hand that was firing the shots.
Gabriel and Matteo knew that it was the first time for her to shoot at someone so they were covering her. They were very shocked to see that her aim was so accurate and she was using rifles. They were very proud that she was so skilled. They guessed that she was very skilled in shooting.
While she shot at their hands they aimed at their hearts. They didn't want anyone to be left alive.
While they were firing at each other, the men that were outside immediately noticed that there were people inside and they were retaliating back. They called for the backup. They immediately launched the sleeping gas inside the house to knock them out.
Meanwhile, Romano's backup was only a few minutes away.
When the sleeping gas was being released inside the house, Ariana and Gabriel quickly reacted and they covered their noses while reminding Matteo to do the same.
With their noses being covered, the sleeping gas didn't affect them much and they quickly finished the men that were shooting inside. They moved outside and saw that the enemies were more than they had seen in the surveillance. It looked like their backup had arrived.
Ariana looked at Gabriel and Matteo.
"Papa, what about our backup?" She asked.
"They will be here any minute. Princess, just stay behind us. Your safety is the most important." Gabriel said.
"No papa. All of us have to be safe. If we work together then I am sure we can hold them back till the backup arrives." Ariana said.
Gabriel and Matteo were very proud of her. She has the mafia blood in her and she was the true princess of the mafia.
While they were talking, they were also firing back. They started focusing on retaliating. Gabriel and Matteo finished the men with the bullet in their hearts.
While they were fighting back, Ariana was keeping a lookout on the others and shooting their hands also. She suddenly saw that a man was aiming at Matteo. She knew that if shot, the bullet would pierce his heart and he would be dead within minutes.
She felt her heart clenching and was immediately filled with panic. She knew that even if she warned him, he wouldn't be able to save himself. She knew what she had to do. She had to... kill him... because if she didn't then the man would retaliate even if she shot his hand.
She knew that it was them...or their enemies. Both can't be alive. After all, Gabriel and Matteo were shooting them dead.
She knew that she can't always remain untainted because their world was very dark and it doesn't allow one to remain pure. They all must have blood on their hands. She knew that this day would arrive sooner or later. She knew this when she was still in the Garcia mafia. She didn't ever imagine that she would be killing for her twin. But...she has no remorse.
She put her finger on the trigger and her finger froze...One pull and everything would change forever. She wouldn't be the same as before.
Still she took a deep breath and....pulled the trigger...Bang.
The man was...dead. Her aim was always accurate.
Gabriel and Matteo quickly looked at the dead man and knew that if she didn't kill him then Matteo would have been dead. Matteo was very touched by what she did for him. He knew that she killed for the first time and that too for him.
Gabriel also felt proud of his daughter. She didn't shy away from saving her twin even if she had to kill the man for the first time.
They felt a little sympathy for her but they didn't let their emotions cloud their judgement. After all, they knew that this day would come. They had all gone through this.
Silence...
This was all that Ariana was feeling. She didn't know what to feel. She was shaking as she looked at the man that she shot dead. He was looking at her when he died. His eyes were open and she felt terrified just looking at him.
Although she had taken a life, she didn't have time to reflect on her feelings. She had to move and kill others. They were being surrounded by their enemies and she had to save others and herself.
Just as they were being surrounded they immediately saw their backup arrive. There were Antonio and Leonardo leading their teams.
When they received the message, they urgently called their teams and led them here. They knew that the enemies were targeting their princess. After all, the Parkers were connected to them through Ariana.
So when they received the message, they were very furious. How dare they touch their princess? Antonio was able to keep his calm while Leonardo completely lost it. He wrecked his office and smashed everything that he could. In the end Antonio had to calm him down. After all, losing their control meant that they wouldn't be able to save them.
They had to keep their calm all the time no matter what, especially in situations like these.
After they arrived, the situation got under control. They immediately killed the men and they were able to capture the man who was leading the team.
"Why were you targeting them?" Gabriel asked in a calm voice. Still this voice managed to cause them shivers. They felt like this voice had come directly from hell.
The man who was leading the group shivered but still kept his mouth shut.
"Do you think that if you kept your mouth shut then we would not be able to find out the truth? Then you are wrong." Gabriel said.
"Take him to the dungeon and treat him very well." Antonio said in a meaningful tone.
The man was quickly taken away by their men.
"Princess, are you alright?" Antonio asked her.
"Yes fratello." She said in a quiet voice.
This was the first time that she had seen so much blood and violence. Although she knew that she had to face that still it was one thing to know and another to witness.
"I am going to the safe room to let my parents know that they can come out." Ariana said, her voice still emotionless and went upstairs.
After she went from there they all looked at each other.
"She killed someone for the first time today." Matteo said.
He could feel her feelings. He knew what she was going through. After all they were twins. They had the closest relationship. They knew what the other was going through with just a glance.
"Then we will help her go through this phase and let her overcome this phase of her life." Antonio said confidently.
They knew that they had to help her properly. Because if they got reckless here then the situation could become very grave. She could either develop a personality that liked the feeling of killing someone and enjoying it. This way she would kill others for her enjoyment. Or she could develop depression for killing someone and become a shell.
They had to face this every time their family members killed someone for the first time. Now this time it was their precious princess. They can't bear to watch her in this state but they also knew that this was inevitable.
Ariana went to the safe room and knocked on it.
"Mom, dad, open the door. It's me. It's safe now." She called out.
She was just going with her instinct and wasn't feeling all of that had happened properly. She was like a cold and emotionless person.
The door opened and the Parker couple saw Ariana immediately. She had some blood on her clothes from killing their enemies. They were shocked and terrified to see that. Hollan quickly covered her mouth and was shaking. While Evan felt his heart breaking.
The little and precious girl that they had nurtured and brought up with so much love had become a killer. Although they knew that it was them or their enemies still they didn't feel any better. This couldn't change the fact that she had killed someone.
"Ari, are you alright?" Evan asked softly.
He knew that it was her first time also seeing this brutality. He knew that she needed their care and love the most at this moment.
"Yes dad, mom. I am fine." Ariana said in her emotionless voice.
"Ari, come with me." Hollan said and took her to Ariana's bedroom.
She took her to the bathroom and told her to take a shower while she went to get her clothes from the closet.
Ariana took her shower and changed her clothes. After changing she felt like she had returned to her senses. While Antonio directed his men to clean this place thoroughly, not leaving a trace of mess.
"Evan, I think it would be best if you guys moved to our home for a few days." Gabriel said.
"I also think that this would be best for now. Especially for Ari." He nodded and went to Ariana's room to discuss with them.
He felt the dread setting in him when he thought of the look in Ariana's eyes earlier. She looked so emotionless. Like she wasn't feeling anything.
He didn't know what was going to happen in the future. How were they going to help her come out of this emotionlessness?
