Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: I Summon Myself?

Although Haku had always been very confident in Tom's combat ability, he hadn't actually witnessed any battles himself, except for Tom beating up Ryunosuke.

And as shown in the animation, Tom's combat power is extremely unstable; he always has the upper hand throughout, but Jerry always ends up winning.

Such cases are not few; on the contrary, there are many.

At this moment, learning that Tom could defeat a ghost was undoubtedly very good news for Haku.

Upon entering the house, Haku first noticed a pungent musty smell. The entire house felt somewhat damp, and there was even a large, bowl-sized hole in the wooden floor at the entrance.

Considering this was an old house that hadn't been inhabited for at least twenty years, this situation could already be considered quite good.

Haku wasn't picky about this house at all. If you asked why, it could only be said that the condition of this house was far better than the dormitory at his high school.

Haku had lived for three full years in a living environment so terrible that even dogs would cry and Liu Yuxi would delete his 'Ode to the Humble Dwelling' overnight.

To this day, Haku still remembers the horror of discovering someone had defecated in the hallway the first time he entered the dormitory.

Naturally, Haku didn't dislike this old house, which had a living environment far superior to his high school dorm.

After tidying up the living room a bit and clearing a spot to sit, Haku sat on the floor and pulled out a flashlight, a local map, and a comic book from the plastic bag he had been carrying.

Haku didn't plan to sleep too early tonight. Instead, he intended to study the map and roughly determine the locations of the other Masters. He could use his memories from watching the anime, combined with some guesswork, to find their positions on the map.

As for the comic book, it was for Tom's entertainment. If ghosts appeared again, only Tom would be able to fight them, so Tom absolutely couldn't fall asleep.

Moreover, the Holy Grail War also starts at night, so it's best for Tom to sleep during the day. If Tom gets sleepy at night, then it would truly be over. Haku knows very well that Tom's sleepiness cannot be suppressed. Instead of letting Tom get sleepy with nothing to do, it's better to find him something to pass the time.

By tomorrow morning, Haku plans to go out and scout various key locations, such as the Matou Family, the Tohsaka Family, and the Emiya residence.

As is well known, a Holy Grail War, excluding the Holy Grail War in Romania, the Fifth Holy Grail War, the Holy Grail War in America... and a host of other exceptions, usually consists of a combination of seven Masters and seven Servants.

And he roughly occupies one Master slot, so he'll have to observe later how many Masters there are in this Holy Grail War.

He couldn't rule out the possibility that this Fourth Holy Grail War might also turn into an abnormal Holy Grail War, with him being an additional Master. In fact, to be honest, Haku felt this possibility was even greater.

Because his Servant Tom's class isn't among the seven main classes; instead, it's a unique 'Tom' class, and all of his stats are simply question marks.

So, it will most likely be eight Masters this time, with him being the extra one. However, there's no need to think too much about it now; the issue of the number of Masters will eventually be clarified. What needs more attention now is the daytime investigation.

And Fuyuki City is just a small city, so finding these places in one day isn't very difficult, especially with a map; it's practically possible with just a pair of legs.

At the same time, he also needed to use this evening to make plans for what comes next, as well as to study that panel.

While Haku was staying up late looking at the map, a young man named Waver stealthily slipped out of his house after confirming that the two elderly people inside were asleep.

From the Holy Mark on the back of his right hand, it could be seen that he was also one of the chosen for this Fourth Holy Grail War. Once he summoned his Servant, this Holy Mark would transform into Command Spells.

Unlike Kiritsugu and Tokiomi, who were wealthy, Waver didn't use mercury to draw his summoning circle; instead, he casually got a few chickens, intending to use chicken blood for the summoning circle.

In comparison, Waver's summoning circle appeared somewhat, well, extremely shabby.

But shabby is shabby. For Waver, a poor student who borrowed money from classmates just to get to Japan, being able to participate was already good enough. What more could he ask for?

After placing the Holy Relic he stole from his teacher opposite the summoning circle, Waver nervously extended his right hand and began his summoning ritual… "Thy body shall serve under my command. My fate shall be with thy sword."

"In accordance with the Holy Grail's call, if you are willing to follow this will, this reason, then respond."

"Here I swear."

"I shall achieve all good in the world; I shall eradicate all evil in the world."

"Thou art the one clad in the Seven Heavens of the Three Great Words, coming from the Ring of Restraint, the Guardian of the Scales!"

After the final chant, the entire summoning circle erupted in a brief but dazzling light. Once the light dissipated, two figures appeared in the summoning circle.

"Eh?" Seeing the Servants he had summoned, Waver lost his footing and sat directly on the ground, staring blankly at the two people in the summoning circle, "Two… Servants?"

This was not quite like what he had read in books. If he remembered correctly, a Master should only have one Servant, right?

In the summoning circle were two men, one tall and one short. The shorter one was fine; he was dressed in a crimson outfit with a matching cape, the only slightly odd thing being his extreme shortness, about one and a half meters tall, with a boyish face.

Well, Waver himself was only 157cm, though.

As for the other one... he was somewhat outlandish. He was wearing a modern-style suit, even holding a cigar in his right hand. Waver really wanted to complain, "Is this really a Servant?", but clearly, the atmosphere wasn't suitable for such a remark.

"I am the son of Zeus, Alexander, or rather, Alexander III. You must be my Master, correct?" The crimson-clad youth was the first to spread his arms and speak to Waver with great magnanimity.

"It looks like… that's the case." Although he was somewhat confused about having summoned two Servants, Waver still nodded, "My name is Waver Velvet."

After speaking, Waver looked at the impossibly tall man in the suit, "And you? Are you also a Servant?"

As soon as he was summoned, the tall man in the suit stared at Waver with an incredulous look. It wasn't until Waver questioned him that he adjusted his composure, "Ahem, pardon me."

"Indeed, I am a Servant. My name is Zhuge Kongming."
