Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: A Dragonoid’s Delight

The dining area still carried the gentle warmth of spices and coconut when a bright burst of energy filled the room. Milim Nava appeared in a flash of pink light, her small dragonoid form hovering above the table with wide, sparkling eyes. Her twin tails swayed with excitement, and her pink hair bounced as she sniffed the air.

"Something smells amazing!" she cried, voice full of pure delight. "It is sweet and spicy and creamy all at once! Shuna, did you make something new? I felt the delicious energy all the way from my labyrinth floor and came right over!"

Shuna rose with graceful calm and bowed her head. "Lady Milim, you are most welcome. I prepared dishes from Takumi's homeland in his old world. Please sit and taste them. There is plenty for everyone."

Milim dropped into an empty chair with a happy bounce. Her eyes locked on the plates of Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Satay, Char Kway Teow, Beef Rendang, and Nasi Kandar. Steam still rose softly from the warm food. "Takumi's homeland? That sounds fun! I want to try everything!"

Rimuru smiled warmly and passed her a clean plate. "Go ahead, Milim. Shuna worked hard to make these taste just right. Takumi shared his memories with us earlier, so this meal carries special meaning."

Gobta grinned and pushed a bowl of Beef Rendang closer to her. "Lady Milim, you have to try this one first! The sauce is so rich it makes my mouth happy every time."

Ramiris floated beside Milim, clapping her tiny hands. "Yes! The coconut rice is the best part. It feels like eating a cloud with a kick!"

Veldora watched with quiet amusement, his scarred face showing gentle fondness. "The flavors are layered and comforting. Milim, you will find they suit your lively spirit perfectly."

Milim took a big spoonful of Nasi Lemak first. Her eyes widened the moment the coconut rice and spicy sambal touched her tongue. "Mmm! This is so good! The rice is creamy and soft, but the sauce has a nice heat that wakes everything up. It is like a hug and a surprise at the same time!" She took another bite, cheeks puffed with joy. "I love it! I could eat ten bowls!"

Next she tore a piece of Roti Canai and dipped it into the peanut sauce from the Satay. "The bread is flaky and warm, and this sauce… it is sweet and nutty and a little spicy! Perfect for dipping!" She waved the piece in the air like a small flag before popping it into her mouth. "Shuna, you are a genius! This tastes like adventure on a plate."

Shuna's cheeks turned a soft pink with quiet pride. "I am glad it pleases you, Lady Milim. Takumi told us stories of night markets where people eat these together. It makes me happy to bring that feeling here."

Milim tried the Char Kway Teow next. Her face lit up again as the smoky noodles and shrimp filled her mouth. "These noodles are chewy and full of flavor! The smoky taste is so strong but not too much. It feels like eating something from a busy street where everyone is laughing." She pointed at the plate with her fork. "I want to take some back to my floor and share with my friends!"

Gobta laughed and passed her the Beef Rendang. "Try this one, Lady Milim. The beef is so soft it almost melts."

Milim scooped a generous portion. The rich, slow-cooked sauce made her eyes sparkle. "Oh wow! This is deep and warm and a little sweet at the end. The spices are dancing on my tongue! It reminds me of the feasts we have after big fights, but even better because it is new." She ate quickly, then looked around the table with shining eyes. "Everyone, you have to keep making this! I declare it one of the best things in the whole world!"

Ramiris giggled and offered her a piece of Satay. "Here, try the grilled chicken. The sauce is my favorite."

Milim bit into the skewer and let out a happy squeal. "Juicy and smoky with that peanut sauce again! It is crunchy outside and soft inside. Perfect!" She finished the skewer in two bites and reached for the Nasi Kandar, piling rice and different curries onto her plate. "This one lets me choose everything I like. So smart! I can mix the spicy and the mild together. Takumi's homeland must be full of clever people."

Rimuru watched the lively scene with gentle laughter. "Milim, your joy makes the meal even better. Takumi is smiling inside the bond right now. He says your reaction feels just like the happy crowds at the night markets he remembers."

Veldora relayed Takumi's words with calm warmth. "Takumi thanks you, Milim. He says seeing you enjoy the food this much brings back the best parts of his old life. It makes him feel truly at home here."

Milim paused mid-bite, her expression turning thoughtful for a moment. "Really? Then I am extra happy! Food like this is the best way to make friends. Hey, I have an idea!" She set her spoon down and clapped her hands together. "We should make a special Malaysian corner in the labyrinth! A whole floor with night-market stalls and these dishes every day. Visitors can play games, eat Satay, and feel the same warm feeling Takumi remembers. I will design the lights and the music myself!"

Shuna's eyes brightened. "That sounds wonderful, Lady Milim. I would be glad to help cook and teach others the recipes."

Gobta raised his fist. "I will be the official taste-tester! No one will leave unhappy."

Ramiris spun in the air. "And I will add fun rides and little shops! It will be the happiest floor ever."

Rimuru nodded with quiet approval. "A unique addition to the labyrinth. It would bring even more visitors and strengthen the bonds between all our friends. Takumi's memories are becoming part of Tempest in the best way."

Milim took one last big bite of Beef Rendang and sighed with pure satisfaction. "This is the best surprise ever. Thank you, Shuna. And thank you, Takumi. Because of you, I got to taste something new and wonderful." She hopped up from her chair and hugged Shuna quickly. "Now I feel full of energy! Let us go tell everyone about the new floor. We can start planning right away!"

The group laughed together as Milim's excitement filled the room like bright sunshine. The Malaysian dishes had done more than satisfy hunger—they had sparked new ideas, deeper friendships, and a fresh chapter of creativity for the federation.

Outside, the sun continued its gentle path across the sky. Inside the dining area, the table remained a place of warmth and shared stories. Milim's sudden visit had turned a simple meal into something magical, reminding everyone that joy could appear at any moment and turn ordinary days into treasured memories.

Veldora placed a steady hand on the table once more. "Takumi feels the same happiness. Our family grows richer with every new flavor and every new friend."

The air still carried the faint, comforting scent of spices as the group began to clear the table together, already talking about the exciting plans ahead.
