Chapter 7 - 7. Knowledge is power

Chapter 7: Knowledge is Power

The academy library was quieter than Sol expected.

Tall shelves stretched endlessly, filled with books, scrolls, and sealed records. The air carried a faint scent of ink and old parchment.

Most students avoided this place.

Too boring.

Too slow.

Sol walked in calmly.

But inside—

His mind was focused.

This is where real power begins.

[System Notification]

New Function Unlocked: Knowledge Integration

"…Good."

He moved through the shelves without hesitation.

Not randomly—

But selectively.

Basic Element Theory

Rune Structures

Potion Foundations

Golem Construction (Intro)

Weapon Enchantment Basics

He didn't sit immediately.

Instead—

He touched the books one by one.

[Analyzing…]

[Scanning…]

[Learning…]

Information flowed into his mind.

Fast.

Organized.

Structured.

Minutes passed.

But for Sol—

It felt like hours of study.

He finally sat down.

Eyes calm.

"So magic isn't just spells…"

It was a complete system.

Potion Making

Using herbs + elemental balance.

Even weak mages could increase power.

Golems

Artificial constructs.

Used for battle, defense, labor.

Required control + precision.

Magic Weapons

Runes embedded into weapons.

Enhance attack, speed, or effects.

Sol's fingers tapped lightly on the table.

Each path has value…

But also limits.

He closed his eyes.

"System. Combine knowledge."

[Processing…]

New ideas formed.

Spells could be improved using:

Rune structure

Energy flow

Element balance

Spell Optimization.

A faint glow appeared above his hand.

A small fire rune formed—

Then shifted.

Simpler.

Cleaner.

[Energy Consumption Reduced: 32%]

[Stability Increased: 41%]

Sol opened his eyes.

"…Efficient."

Not stronger—

But better.

That was enough.

Suddenly—

A book slid onto his table.

Sol looked up.

Kael.

"Reading everything?" he asked calmly.

Sol glanced at the book.

"Aetherion Continent Overview"

"…Just basics."

Kael sat across from him.

"The world isn't small," he said.

Sol stayed silent.

Listening.

"The Aetherion Continent has four major regions."

He raised four fingers.

"North – Frozen Lands. Rare ice elements."

"South – Burning Deserts. Fire dominance."

"East – Forest Dominion. Life and wind."

"West – Ruined Territory. Dangerous… unknown."

A pause.

"Academies exist to prepare us for that world."

Sol's eyes slightly narrowed.

"…And you?"

Kael smiled faintly.

"I prefer understanding the board…"

"…before playing."

Silence.

Two minds.

Both calculating.

Sol lowered his gaze again.

This one… gathers information like me.

Dangerous.

But useful.

Kael stood up.

"Don't stand out too much," he said.

Then left.

Sol watched him go.

Then looked at his hand.

A small flame appeared.

Stable.

Efficient.

Controlled.

Not flashy.

Not noticeable.

Perfect.

Power… isn't about being seen.

It's about being ready.

He closed the book slowly.

His path was clear now.

Not just spells.

But everything.

Potions.

Golems.

Weapons.

Knowledge.

All of it—

Would become his strength.

Silently.
