Missy remained deep in thought after returning home.
She stood quietly inside the conservatory, gazing through the glass walls overlooking the backyard garden.
"Is something troubling your mind, Hart?"
Raven's gentle embrace from behind startled her slightly.
"You're good at being quiet," Missy muttered with a faint amused smile. "I thought you were still in the study. I didn't want to disturb you."
"I heard your car arrive," Raven replied softly. "But when I came out, I couldn't find you in the bedroom or the kitchen."
Missy turned fully toward him.
"Hm," Raven murmured, studying her expression. "Something's bothering you."
With gentle fingers, he tilted her chin up slightly.
"What happened?"
Missy hesitated.
A small sigh slipped from her lips.
"I ran into Olivia."
Seeing the hesitation in her expression, Raven gently guided her toward the nearest chair.
"Can the mirror be taken from her room tomorrow?" Missy asked quietly.
