Joanna looked at Missy before offering a polite smile.
"I thought I might not get the chance to greet you properly. I didn't have the opportunity to say hello earlier."
Missy returned a small smile and exhaled softly.
Oh... look at that.
The woman could not even be bothered to address her properly.
She did not look remotely surprised after hearing very clearly earlier that Missy was Raven's companion.
Not after what had been announced earlier.
Not after the entire ballroom had heard it.
Mr. and Mrs. Ashcroft.
Missy glanced briefly at Raven.
Deliberately.
She simply wanted to see how he would handle this.
"Ah... you mean after I was dancing with my wife?" Raven replied calmly.
Joanna's expression shifted for the briefest second before her smile returned.
"Yes... that."
Raven nodded politely.
"It is good to see you here representing Mr. Crowley. I hope you are enjoying the evening."
