"Richard!!" I exclaimed as I saw the figure standing in front of me, why is he here? How did he know my address?
Perhaps I should have asked these questions but I didn't, I mean what do you say to a very handsome man with a bouquet which is obviously meant for you, a man I am actually interested in so I was speechless.
He must have noticed how shocked I am because he started speaking almost immediately "I am sorry for showing up like this but I really wanted to surprise you so much that I didn't think…."
"Who is there?….. why are you just standing there?" Linda asked
It's...um…Richard" I managed to say
"What? Richard?" Linda said in a surprised tone and that made me surprised too because I thought she must have been the one who gave him our house address which prompted me to ask Richard how he got here
"How do you know this place?" I questioned
" I am very sorry, I actually didn't just leave yesterday , I was too mesmerized by your beauty to do so, I waited outside till you were ready to leave, and followed you, I am not a stalker I promise you were going my way" He said while anxiously scratching his forehead
"Oh, pardon my bad manners, come in and have your seat" I collected the flowers from him and opened the door wide enough for him to come in, Linda gave me the "what the heck" look but I ignored her, I already know I am in for some questioning later, probably after Richard leaves or not because I know that girl, she is in a bad competition with patience, one she can't win!
"So, Richard, I am not one to judge but you actually sounded and acted like a stalker" Linda asked which made Richard adjust uncomfortably in his chair
"Oh, poor Richard" I said to myself "Richard, welcome to our humble home, that's what my very polite friend is trying to tell you" I said which made both of them laugh
"Oh, common Kate, I am not vicious, I am just surprised, sorry, Richard, so, how are you and how is work?"
"Work is fine, I am fine too, I expected the reactions beautiful ladies, once again I am sorry for inviting myself to your home, I just couldn't stop thinking about Kate" he said in a very charming tone or am I imagining it? Oh, I have fallen head over heels for this guy
"Alright, I guess I would have to leave you two now, I have somewhere to be" Linda said as she cleared the dishes off the dining table and started going to her room
"What? Go where? Babes, who is going to help with my goods?" I said pouting my lips
She paused in silence then said "Well, Richard, you wouldn't mind helping me out, would you?"
I frowned at her but before I could say anything she dashed out of the room while mouthing sorry to me.
"I like your friend, she is jovial, now, what may I help you with, ma'am ?" Richard asked in an amusing tone
"I…I really don't want to bother you, don't worry, you are my guest" I said
"Oh, pleaassseee Katie, I want to help out and also I feel like I would get reprimanded by Linda if I don't " he let out a little laugh which made me laugh with him " so please let me help out"
" Alright, if you insist, I have some goods to package for delivery and I have to do that before my delivery man gets here" I explained
"Okay, By goods, you mean? Not that if you are into smuggling cocaine I wouldn't be your Pablo Escobar but I still want to know" he said jokingly
I laughed "Oh, please, Richard, do this lady in front of you look like someone who has the strength to do that? I sell palm footwear please" I said
" I like to believe you are capable of everything, sweetheart, but you absolutely don't seem like someone who does illegal dealings"
"Now, let's get to work" I said pointing to the store room door" first, we need to help me get the footwear out of the store to the living room
"Okay, easy" he said as he strolled to the storage room and started getting it out of the room to the living room
"You think it's easy? I hope you don't change your mind when we start packing the orders" I said as I joined him in carrying the boxes of footwear to the living room
"Test me" he said while stopping in his tracks and almost made me fall, I had to hug his back so I wouldn't fall
" You brute, you did that on purpose, right" I said laughing and getting off my back
"Oh no, I didn't but I would want that sweet moment to happen again" he said laughing "So, I am guessing we are going to pack the orders by putting them in one of those customized nylon bags, am I right?
" Brilliant. Fast learner" I said
After what it seems like forever, because we were literally playing all through, had lunch he ordered in, and taking a break to drink the smoothie I made, we were finally done with packing the orders I have for the day and he even helped with taking it downstairs to give to my dispatch rider to distribute to my customers, as we went back upstairs I couldn't help but think that I have found the one for me, he is so kind, sweet and obviously funny, is Linda's spell working on me? She said I would fall for Richard and that is exactly what is happening, but I am kind of scared I have never opened up my heart to a man, this is literally the first guy I would actually be falling for what if my heart got broken but I reprimanded myself as soon as the thought crossed my heart, Richard is too sweet and kind to hurt me, why am I even getting ahead of myself, he hasn't even asked me out…yet.

"What? You don't want to go in? Do we still have something to get downstairs?"
