The gods flipped back to the dragon screen to see if it was safe yet.
It was not. It was the opposite of safe, actually.
Then one god started to slow-clap. "Some dragon stamina." The goddess next to him whacked his hands down.
"How long has she been home in mortal time?" another asked.
"Nine hours," the God of War answered without looking away from the screen.
"And how many times have they—"
The God of Celibacy cut him off mid-sentence. "The number depends on whether you believe in shared credit or individual stats."
"Ah, therein lies the question. When both brothers are inside of her, do we count that as once or twice?" the God of Philosophy commented as he leaned forward with the specific hunger of a being who had been waiting millennia for a question worthy of his attention.
The pantheon went silent while the theological implications of that arithmetic settled.
