Chapter 3 - it all ends | Part 2 | Chapter 3

"we can stop somewhere serene and look at the end for ourselves, you know."

kid, surprised, looks up to the eyes. "really? wouldn't that take too much of your time?"

k looks at the kid again. now with a smirk on his face "don't worry about time, we have plenty of it."

as the travel cube moves again, this time with light speed, and reaches a further corner, exactly at the triangular corner of the world of Demons and the empty space the child had stared at before.

"from here, we will see everything."

the child looks amazed at the speed this cube travelled "wow! this cube is really fast, even faster than the swordsmanship of the 'Demonic Saint'."

"right, we will see. here, we are about to begin."

"begin what?"

"begin the time."

at the same moment, all the stars around starts to spin slowly, and then in seconds, grab the speed of a blender, blurring from view.

but that was not the surprising part, the world at the left stayed there, spinning in it's own cycle.

"right, i shouldn't be surprised by this by now." kid says with wide eyes, looking ahead.

while the stars spin faster, and the world make it's cycles.

days pass, then weeks, months and after the cycles continue, 8 years go by in 52 seconds.

at this moment, the cycles slow and the stars align.

while both watch, now at the empty space, expecting what would happen.

at the exact empty space, a star forms, far away from the Demon world, yet close from both of them.

a barrier like veil covering the star or something comes to view, at exactly the same time, a thin line stretch on it's surface.

the time slows down at half a second.

yet too fast.

the thin line stretch at one fourth of it's surface, cuts it apart, going forward toward space, not stopping.

as time slows even further, for a moment, just a moment, all light loose it's shine against that slash.

while filled with darkness, it illuminates all things around with it's own light.

the sensation comes exactly at 0.012 portion of a second after the appearance of that slash, with it, flaring chills down Amonse's whole body.

"this!?"

light shining against k's face, as he laughs "hahaha, this was what i was waiting for."

time slowly resumes itself, as that light fade, and the chills ease from the kid's body.

"kid, see that?" as k says without averting his gaze from the world now revealed, the veil paper thin, burning and vanishing from existence.

"yeah gulp i saw."

"that slash was faster than the speed this cube travelled before."

"i saw this slash once before, and it still managed to surprise me for the second time. only this time, i was actually able to witness it in time and able to grasp it's speed, thanks to this cube."

k says with a straight face "this time, it actually came stronger than before."

looking at the world, a part already ruined, and on the brink.

yet. it's beauty undeniable.

"what."

and again the time flickers and the stars spin around.

the worlds starts to spin in their own cycles, and 22 more years pass.

in that time frame, the world of humans, now fully revealed, a mist starts to cover it again.

the child, looking at the worlds, thinks to himself "maybe... this time, it's different.

"without my intervention, the outcome might be a bit better.

"or worse."

k looks down.

while the time comes to a normal interval. k looks ahead again.

"this is the end."

the child sees k's eyes, that looks not at the worlds this time, but a bit higher.

at a shooting star, now making an entrance into the horizon layer of the solar system, it's path leading it toward the star of this solar system, it's sun.

at a distance away, it suddenly halts, and reveals itself.

what embodies it, not a rock or an element associated to star.

but a being. a normal, human looking being.

"what is that?"

the child says as the cube moves again, giong up, and taking it's place above the being that now stands before the sun.

"that is the end of this solar system." k says

"why?" amon's intuition flares again, this time in dread, a really bad feeling.

"see. this is the reason i came here for. and also the reason for your return."

the being, now revealed to be a young man, points it's finger at the sun, with a smirk on it's face. TADA!

the next moment, a beam of light shoots forward, at the center of the sun.

within seconds, like a black hole, the sun starts to shrink inward, like being swallowed by it's own self.

the being, looking at it, now satisfied, turns around.

turns into light and in a flash, dissappears toward the way it came from.

"why." the child says, looking at the sun, and then the being that disappeared.

"why did it do that?"

"there are many reasons. one being that slash, the one from 22 years ago."

"why do it now?" the child, now tense, feeling defeated again "why not this have happened before? why not before i came here"

k, thinking, knowing how complicated that had become for this child.

"everything comes to an end. and for this world, that end had come, albeit a bit unfortunate."

now the child cast down, defeated, even though knowing full well this is the end "maybe, there was a chance, just a small one. this world could have seen a new beginning. but now, it's all gone." the sun's light on his face, eyes closed down.

slowly the child rises to his feets, finally standing up. "anyways, it won't matter. it seems, big bro, you can't intervene into this world's fate, or any other either."

"i can't."

"thought so. maybe if you could, you would have, right?"

"right."

"it really doesn't matter now. maybe this is also for the better." as the child sigh, and then inhales air into his lungs.

"it feels like a burden has been lifted from my chest."

"you can feel better now. this world won't have to suffer anymore."

"right. but big brother, where are we going now?"

"let's see, where should we go." as k looks ahead, seemingly at something invisible infront of him, while the child looks at him, knowing exactly at what.

"oh, big brother, what is that book in your hand? it's in your hand for quite some time."

"it's nothing. let's go, to our next stop."

as k throws the book out of the cube, not caring in the slightest.

'this book doesn't matter anymore'

the travel cube, fasts forward and makes a warp jump, faster than the speed of light this time, far faster.

crossing toward their own next destination.
