CHAPTER:21 [Rebel's Oath] Part:02
"FORTE INVERTUM"

The statue that stood tall above his head now exploded to dust on his face and spreaded throughout the narrow corridor…
"Huh"
Kai looked around in surprise and confusion…
"What happened?"
As he moved forward to examine where the statue was standing he felt every single dust particle come to life as they floated around him.
The dust started spiralling on the wall at the end of the narrow corridor, as the speed of the particles increased it started showing this magnificent white and golden light.
(What's this?)
Kai moved toward it for examination…
"Huh"
Shhhkkskk….crrrkkkk
The dust swallowed him and returned to its original state.
......…
Kai appeared at the start of a staircase that moved downward…
(Aaaghh… I hate sudden teleportation.)
As Kai's head cleared from the distortion caused by the teleportation he noticed that he had appeared in a closed space…
(Where is this? Is this the inside of a mountain?)
Kai looked at the jagged stairs that lead downward, as he took his first step the torches that were on the wall ignited…
(Woah...spooky)
He followed the torches that lead downstairs, after a long while he finally arrived at the place where the stairs lead.
It was a rocky platform with a table on it…
(I definitely didn't sign up for this.)
The torches only reached till the end of the staircase, the rest of the place was in complete darkness as there was no light there yet.
He started moving toward the table cautiously, as Kai stepped on the platform the whole place that rested in that deep darkness now lit up with raging sounds of wind.
Whoosh….blllllrrrr
Kai sighed in relief as there was no creature there but a laboratory he also noticed several other paths just like the one he came from.

Kai entered a battle stance as he heard footsteps coming from the other paths…
(Did someone follow me? No, it's impossible if they did. I would've noticed it.)
Kai wore a serious expression as the footsteps came close…
"Yo bitch, you arrived pretty early."
Kai wore an even more serious expression…
"What are you doing here Feng?"
Suddenly he heard a deep voice…
"Calm down, he's with me."
A man with blonde hair and pale face came out of one of the paths…
"Shino, what is going on right now?"
Shino was going to answer but stopped as another one also arrived…
"Ahhh…Shino what is the meaning behind this–." She stopped as she saw Kai. "Is this Kai? Why is he here?"
Kai conjured up a whole armor and more swords behind him…
"Hey calm down i said didn't i."
Kai looked at Shino with suspicion but he didn't lower his guard down…
"Shino what is going on?"
The situation was grim as Kai started releasing blood lust, following him Feng also let loose and Tina who just arrived completely melted into the shadows…
"I SAID CALM DOWN!"
Shino completely overpowered both of them leaving them incapacitated and stunned from the pressure released by him…
"Good, now let me explain, this is Kai and Kai these are my teammates."
Kai eventually dropped his guard and Tina, who was a moment ago melted into shadows, came out of it…
"Shino, why is Kai here?"
Shino sighed and said…
"Let all sit down first and let me explain."
They sat around the table and Shino started explaining…
"Now then, you two already know Kai, as for why he is here then he was my mission."
Tina said…
"Huh? What missio–." She stopped as she seemed to realize something. " Did each of us had a different mission?"
Shino answered as he sighed…
"Unfortunately, yes."
Kai asked, confused by what they were talking about…
"Hey, what are you guys talking about?"
Shino said…
" Now is not the time, Kai."
Kai blurted as he couldn't sit back in anger any longer…
"How much fucking longer, when are you going to tell me what the actual fuck is going?"
Feng said in a joking tone…
"Ooooh…. scary."
Shino looked at him with a tired expression…
"Feng you are not helping so shut up, and Kai i will tell you once this whole fiasco is over."
Kai pursed his lips but sighed and didn't press this matter any further…
"Now that all of you have calmed down I want to announce, we'll be moving the plan a step further."
Shino pulled out a thick file with multiple files inside, he gave a file to Feng and a file to Tina while he spread the rest of the files on the table which were blueprints and schematics of buildings…
"Shino, what about me?"
Shino answered with a blank expression…
"That's because you will be fighting the main guy so you don't need a plan."
Kai opened his mouth to say something but closed it as the current situation was already out of his reach…
"Now then Tina, your task is the most complicated one you not only have to find but also completely eradicate them."
Shino gave a portion of files to Tina which she stored in her inventory, Kai was watching Tina the whole time she read the file and then she plucked out a picture from the file, Kai only saw it from the side but he saw something familiar…
"Tina, can you pass that photo to me?"
Tina tossed it to him, Kai picked up the photo but his body suddenly became cold as he saw that strange outline of the mask…
"Shino, where did you take this photo?"
Shino said…
"Which photo?"
Kai turned the photo toward him…
"That's the photo of the mask demon worshippers wear."
Kai said…
"Demon worshippers? But why are you sending her toward the demon worshippers?"
Shino answered…
"I'm not quite sure yet but I think we will be able to find a clue to where the King is and we will have to move fast from here on.
Kai said…
"How fast are you talking? Cause I don't think I'm ready for that type of action yet."
Shino asked…
"How long are you going to need?"
Kai answered…
"At least four to five months or something."
Shino sighed as there was nothing he could do about that…
"Okay then, we will commence the action on our part after you are done dealing with your problem."
After discussing everything about the plan they left that place.

Kai returned to the narrow corridor he entered through, he left the academy and went to the dorm instead of the ball, he entered his room quietly and completely erased his presence.
After hours of hiding the door of his room opened, it was Ita who had returned from the ball with others…
"You did great, you can rest now."
Ita returned to her original form and entered her seal.
