Chapter 147 - 147 Crazy Silas

Unfortunately, this group was destined for failure. Despite their numerical advantage, Silas outmaneuvered them, and whenever they were caught off guard, Greninja would deliver a deadly slash aimed at the neck.

Their Pokémon weren't weak, but their teamwork was terrible. They had a Chesnaught, Hariyama, Primeape, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, 2 Hawlucha, 2 Pangoro, and 2 Breloom.

Due to them all possessing the Fighting type, Silas released 2 advanced tier Swellow and some of the Seviper. This group slaughtered everyone within 15 minutes, leaving only Chesnaught and 1 of the Hawlucha barely alive.

By this time, the other attack had most likely already begun, so Silas continued as planned. The aura of death surrounding Silas and Greninja had become palpable. Even the wild Pokémon began to avoid the area altogether.

Silas heard several explosions in the distance, confirming that the other attack was underway.

"Stop right there. Do you think killing our members is something you can easily get away with? I will kill you even if I must join you in the afterlife."

8 cloaked men appeared in front of Silas. They each had a Pangoro and Pyroar with them. The leading man, who had spoken first, threw out another Pokéball, sending out the pseudo legendary Pokémon, Goodra.

The rest of the group summoned an additional 2 Pokémon each. This was a group of 30 Pokémon, with 12 being in the advanced tier and the other 18 at the peak of the pseudo advanced tier.

"It seems my warm-up is over, and I can finally cut loose."

Silas wasn't confident in eliminating this group, but he would never show any weakness. It would only bolster the enemy's morale.

"Kid, you talk tough, but we both know this place will be your grave."

"Hahahahahaha! So be it, but before that, I will kill as many of you as possible."

"You are quite mad. I'll be sure to send you on your way to avoid any suffering."

"FUCKING TRY IT THEN! MY TEAM AND I WILL BURY YOU ALL ON THIS MOUNTAIN! A YEAR FROM NOW WILL BE THE ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR DEATH!"

There was something unsettling about dealing with a madman, you had to tread carefully because crazy people were unpredictable.

For this reason, Silas feigned madness, deliberately making himself seem erratic.

He decided to release his Pokémon en masse. This was the decisive battle. He needed to take out some of them so that even more powerful trainers would join the battle.

On Silas' side stood Greninja, Electivire, Ursaring, Flygon, 2 Swellow, 2 Poliwrath, Politoed, 2 Seviper, Excadrill, Tropius, Espeon, and 2 Zangoose. Silas kept Drapion hidden in his shadow just in case, but this was his full power.

Silas channeled the combined might of the Poliwhirl and Poliwag still in their Pokéballs. Together, they could act as an additional combatant.

Finally, Silas connected all the Pokémon through a joint telepathic link to effectively coordinate during this battle. Everyone already had their marching orders.

They had come up with a game plan for this large-scale battle. The Pokémon would all essentially fight independently, but Silas would occasionally command them.

"Greninja, use Spikes."

Greninja scattered spiky balls that merged into the environment. They were almost impossible to see.

Hawlucha took to the air and used Swords Dance as it proceeded toward Greninja.

"Hawlucha, use Brick Break."

The luchador Pokémon struck Greninja with its glowing fist-like wing. Greninja was sent crashing backward onto the ground.

"Hawlucha, press the advantage. Use High Jump Kick."

Silas smirked because he understood the tactic Greninja was employing. He had taken the full blow from Brick Break to draw the enemy Pokémon in.

Hawlucha leapt high into the air before coming down like a meteor toward the fallen Greninja, leading with its knee.

At the last moment, Greninja's form took on a shadowy and nearly translucent appearance. It had shifted into Ghost typing!

The kick landed on the spot where Greninja had been, and the impact caused a cloud of dirt and dust to rise.

"Your Greninja is surely dead from such a powerful attack, but don't worry. I will send you to join it shortly."

Silas smiled coldly because he understood what had really happened.

The second Hawlucha struck the ground with its knee, the bones shattered from the impact. As the smoke cleared, everyone could see the situation clearly. Greninja stood holding a blade made of water over Hawlucha, who was clutching its ruined knee in pain.

Hawlucha's owner tried to return it to its ball, but Greninja blocked the beam with his tongue. At the same time, he swung down mercilessly and beheaded Hawlucha.

"YOU BASTARD! What trickery did you use to best my Hawlucha?! Tell me now!!"

The man seemingly lost his mind, but Silas remained calm.

"Don't be so angry. You can join Hawlucha in the afterlife. I will send you on your first-class ticket to be reunited. Greninja, use Liquidation and Night Slash to cut down the enemy."

All the enemy Pokémon braced themselves as a blue blade appeared in Greninja's right hand and a purple blade appeared in its left. Then he charged at them at high speed.

Electivire suddenly appeared in the middle of the enemy Pokémon and released a terrifying amount of electricity. He was using Madam's technique of combining Discharge and Thunder for maximum damage and coverage.

The attack spread to several of the enemy Pokémon, allowing Greninja to take full advantage of the opening. He quickly slew 3 of the peak pseudo advanced Pokémon nearby. Each Pokémon had its throat slit.

All the Court members were infuriated by this scene and commanded all their Pokémon to attack Greninja, but using Shadow Sneak, he avoided the barrage of moves. The attacks exploded harmlessly as he returned to the safety of his group. Electivire did the same using Teleport.

Silas did this early to ease some of the pressure. With 1 advanced tier and 3 pseudo advanced tier Pokémon dead on the enemy side with minimal effort, their odds of success had gone up.

Both sides charged at each other and engaged in a heated battle. Although outnumbered, Silas' Pokémon fought bravely.

After 5 minutes of fierce combat, the battlefield separated into several individual battles.

Infernape was battling 4 Pangoro by himself. By using his superior fighting skills, he was holding them back but was unable to do too much damage. Committing to an attack would leave him vulnerable to one of the other Pangoro, so he held back.

The Pangoro were by no means weak either, but they had serious trouble dealing with Infernape's superior agility.

Electivire was battling 3 Pyroar. His evolution had brought his control over his psychic power to a new height, and today was showing the fruits of his labor.

More than once, Electivire diverted an attack by throwing off its trajectory just a little. He also did the opposite with his own attacks, making them much harder to dodge. These tactics, combined with his conservative use of Teleport, made Electivire a nightmare to deal with even with the numerical advantage.

Greninja was locked in combat with a Weavile and Barbaracle. This was truly a battle of blades.

Greninja's Liquidation and Night Slash clashed fiercely with the enemy Pokémon own Night Slash and Liquidation.

Weavile, in particular, gave Greninja a lot of trouble because it could fully keep up with him. It was only because of his access to Shadow Sneak that he managed to take the lead in the battle.

Swellow and Tropius were engaged in aerial combat with a few Talonflame and Noivern. This battle was unfavorable, to say the least.

A single Brave Bird or Flare Blitz from Talonflame would do massive damage to Tropius, so the strategy was to make Swellow the main attackers while Tropius provided much-needed support for the time being.

Politoed and Poliwrath were battling 2 Bisharp and the Goodra. This battle was evenly matched. The Poliwrath were wary of being smacked by Goodra's devastating Power Whip; however, Goodra was equally wary of Ice Punch.

The remaining Pokémon were locked in fierce combat with various other Pokémon. The enemy had a few Scizor, Sandslash, and even an Aggron. There were also Manectric, Raichu, and Helioptile rounding out their ranks.

"He's just one man. He will run out of steam soon enough. Don't let up, even for a second."

Silas truly looked down on these types of people who only felt strong when they had the support of a crowd. To him, bravery was the willingness to stand up when the outcome wasn't favorable.

Anyone could comfortably bully another with superior numbers, so in Silas' opinion, they were weak individually.

Unfortunately, despite the heart shown by Silas' Pokémon, they were beginning to fall behind in the battle.

Silas' Pokémon were stronger overall, but it was a difficult task to overcome such superior numbers without a level gap.

Suddenly, Silas heard a pitiful cry as a bird Pokémon fell to the ground, burning.

He quickly recognized the bird as one of his Swellow and returned it to its ball to rest.

Next, he saw both Zangoose and Excadrill take point-blank attacks that ultimately knocked them out.

Just like that, Excadrill, one of the Swellow, and Zangoose had been defeated.

Pokémon battles were unpredictable. One second, you could have the upper hand, and then boom, it could all change in an instant.

Despite the circumstances, Silas showed no fear. He was still confident in the team he had painstakingly built up from nothing.
