After speaking with everyone, Silas went to his room. When he got to his bed, he checked his TR device and saw that he had received a message from Viper containing the mission details.
The mission was to take place in 10 days. Silas would aggressively push into the Court's territory and start a massacre. The dark-skinned man would join the assault from another angle but would be disguised as Viper.
After linking up, they would slowly retreat and draw the enemy reinforcements into a trap if they followed. The plan overall was fairly sound. The only problem was the massive amount of risk borne by Silas as the lead attacker.
Silas had exactly 10 days to prepare. Viper gave him access to the administrator menu for TR points under the orders of the dark-skinned man. Silas was extremely shocked when he perused the menu. There was divine Pokémon blood and parts available, natural treasures like supreme-grade energy crystals, and even high-tier Pokémon.
Seeing this, Silas knew he had to go in person to the exchange counter. This base was about ¼ the size of the main Rocket base but contained all the official facilities. This showed the importance Team Rocket placed on this mountain.
The exchange worker was a plain-looking woman with a natural scowl on her face. However, once Silas took out his items for exchange, she grew respectful.
Silas had defeated many people and collected many good items and Pokémon. He ultimately sold 80% of his remaining supply of Beedrill honey, which brought his total TR points to just over 200k. Then Silas produced the Pokéballs confiscated from the Court members. Metagross, Gallade, and Tyrantrum would fetch especially high prices.
With everything sold, Silas amassed great wealth. He now had 1.2 million points.
The main driver was the high-level Metagross. It alone was worth 550k points, while Gallade and Tyrantrum combined for 400k.
"I have been granted access to the admin menu. You can see right here."
Silas showed his credentials by letting the woman scan his TR device.
"No worries, sir. I can confirm its validity. Please note that administrators enjoy a 30% discount on all purchases."
Silas' face lit up. This meant that his 1.2 million points were now worth significantly more.
On the list, there was an interesting item called a Small Blue Orb.
"What can you tell me about the Blue Orb?"
"It's said to contain a bit of Kyogre, the ocean god's power. This one is from a semi-divine Kyogre, so the raw power can be absorbed. However, I must warn you that if your Pokémon doesn't possess sufficient willpower, it will abandon you and become a servant of that Kyogre."
A familiar voice chimed in Silas' head.
"My estimation shows that Frogadier would enjoy tremendous gains if given this Blue Orb. I strongly suggest you purchase it, Silas."
Hearing Hermes, Silas realized this item could be a game changer. Unfortunately, it was worth 3.5 million Rocket Points.
"Sir, administrators have the option of borrowing up to 2 million Rocket Points. You will accrue interest of 10% once every 4 months."
"Great, let's do that."
At 2.45 million after discounts, Silas still had 750k points to spend. The administrator menu was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that he refused to waste.
First, he bought a comprehensive guide containing everything Team Rocket had on making Pokéblocks and advanced breeding. Lastly, he bought a high-grade Flame Crystal. These purchases left Silas 2 million points in debt and 8k points remaining.
After collecting his items, Silas returned to his room. First, he presented Infernape with the Flame Crystal, and then he presented Frogadier with the Blue Orb.
What Silas didn't see coming was the immediate reaction from the orb. Kyogre's symbol shone brightly on it before the orb lifted itself into the air and merged into Frogadier's body.
He rolled across the floor, writhing in intense pain for several minutes. Nothing Silas or the other Pokémon did seemed to help.
Infernape spoke to Silas via telepathy with Espeon's help as a medium.
"Do you sense that powerful will that descended on Frogadier?"
Hearing this, Silas calmly used his psychic and aura senses. Sure enough, there was a second consciousness inside Frogadier, and they were fighting for control.
Using their aura, Infernape and Silas were able to strengthen Frogadier and even the playing field.
"You aren't alone. We've got your back. Now show this invader that they are simply a stepping stone for you."
Frogadier reacted to the powerful energy being poured into him and started to take control, but it was a slow process. Silas and Infernape had to infuse their aura into Frogadier for a full hour.
This process completely drained them.
As Silas was passing out from exhaustion, Frogadier's body began to emit the light of evolution.
He fought the exhaustion long enough to release the evolution potion from his storage before succumbing to sleep.
When Silas woke up, he was in bed. He got up and exited the room to see Frogadier encased in a giant blue orb covered in Kyogre's symbol.
Silas breathed a sigh of relief when he could only sense Frogadier's consciousness within his body. That meant he had won the battle of wills.
Silas' aura exhaustion was quite severe, as he had been out for 3 full days before waking up. Silas spent the entire day in bed, but he made sure to check on Frogadier periodically.
That night, Frogadier finally completed his evolution. The process had taken nearly 4 days, but it was worth it.
Silas felt like a child who got exactly what he asked for on Christmas.
Frogadier was actually a shiny Pokémon. However, the shiny trait was only truly visible once he completed his final evolution into Greninja.
The newly evolved shiny Greninja had sleek jet-black skin covered in glowing cyan patterns that flowed across his body like ocean currents, with a bright Kyogre symbol shining from the center of his chest. His crimson eyes glowed intensely beneath a darker red tongue scarf that streamed behind him like a wave. Small droplets of water floated weightlessly around him as fragments of the shattered blue cocoon dissolved into glowing mist at his feet.
Greninja (M) — Level 48
Ability: Protean
Potential: A-
Moves: Rank A Pound, Rank A Water Gun, Rank A Shadow Sneak, Rank A Toxic Spikes, Rank A Growl, Rank A Water Pulse, Rank B Rain Dance, Rank B Quick Attack, Rank B Night Slash, Rank B Lick, Rank B Acrobatics, Rank B Aerial Ace, Rank B Protect, Rank B Cut, Rank B Ice Beam, Rank B Smackdown, Rank C Substitute, Rank C Water Shuriken, Rank C Smokescreen, Rank C Liquidation, Origin Pulse
Origin Pulse?!
Silas couldn't believe his eyes. They immediately went into the private training room to test Greninja's power.
"Greninja, use Origin Pulse!"
5 small spheres of Water-type energy condensed around Greninja before shooting toward the target dummies. Each orb completely missed, but that was understandable since it was his first attempt.
Greninja looked a little embarrassed.
"So much for acquiring the power of the God of Water. Haha I am just satisfied with my evolution, I feel power brimming throughout my body."
"Greninja, it's okay. You have plenty of time to master your newfound power. We should also work on your usage of Protean. I think you will now be able to handle it."
"Agreed, I think I can strengthen myself well. I will master Origin Pulse too, I swear it.
Greninja completely agreed. Silas had never steered him wrong in his life, so he trusted him wholeheartedly.
Cal chuckled to himself. Greninja was so serious when talking about improving his strength once he found a path forward. He was truly blessed to have such dedicated Pokémon.
As for Infernape, he had already woken up and was hard at work absorbing the energy within the Flame Crystal. Silas didn't disturb him. Instead, he reviewed the breeding manual for a few hours to fully integrate the knowledge into his personal database.
His understanding of taking care of his Pokémon and their nutrition went through a qualitative and quantitative leap. He was now the equivalent of an advanced breeder. Most trainers couldn't fully comprehend the methods of Pokémon breeders.
Silas held an unfair advantage because of his system. It could interpret information and assist Silas in a multitude of ways, including execution. This allowed Silas to make full use of any training manuals he could get his hands on.
With the added resource of the oasis water, the Pokéblocks and Poffins created by Silas matched the performance of supreme-grade food.
There was a delay in preparation for the mission, which added an extra 4 days to the time.
The following 8 days were grueling training for all the Pokémon within Spartan. Silas, with Percy's help, put his Pokémon through many difficult tests to challenge them.
The results were spectacular.
Hippopotas evolved into Hippowdon and was now at level 43. Poliwhirl was now at level 38. Infernape finally crossed the threshold to level 50, representing a complete upgrade in his combat power.
Electivire crossed into the advanced tier at level 50. Flygon was still at level 50, but his combat power went through a leap, and he could comfortably fight Pokémon of higher levels now. As for Silas' remaining Pokémon, they all made it to level 47.
Electivire's growth in power was strictly caused by his competitive nature. He couldn't stand to have Infernape and Flygon stay stronger than him, he essentially forced himself to catch up.
Silas' friends made good improvements as well under the assistance of supreme-grade Pokémon food. Now, all their Pokémon were a minimum of level 42.
Them increasing their strength was by extension increasing Silas' strength. Each member of Spartan was loyal to him and dependable.
Initially, it might have been out of convenience but now they sincerely followed him.
Silas understood that it would take tremendous effort to increase their strength to the advanced tier, but this was a good start and a worthy cause.
