THE GIRL WHO SAT BY THE WINDOW:-

Ayaan was the kind of boy people barely noticed.

He sat in the last bench, never raised his hand, never spoke unless a teacher asked him something directly. Most of his classmates thought he was just quiet. But the truth was—he didn't know how to talk to people.

Every day, he would come to class, put his bag down, and look—just for a moment—toward the second row near the window.

That's where she sat.

Her name was Meera.

She wasn't the loudest girl in class, but somehow, everything felt brighter around her. She would smile while talking, laugh freely, and sometimes stare out of the window like she was lost in her own little world.

Ayaan had never spoken to her.

Not once.

But he knew small things about her—like how she always tied her hair in a loose ponytail, how she loved rain, and how she doodled in the corner of her notebook when she got bored.

One day, something unexpected happened.

The teacher changed the seating arrangement.

Ayaan walked slowly to his new seat… and froze.

It was right next to Meera.

His heart started racing. He sat down quietly, not even looking at her.

"Hi," she said casually.

Ayaan blinked. "…Hi."

That was it. One word. But for him, it felt like a huge step.

Days passed.
