Hours passed and soon it was night time, during these hours, Rimuru and Seiran had used their steel threads skill and made a sort of fence that encompassed the entirety of the villages surroundings, especially the front and then they had simply instructed the goblins to form a sort of wooden spiked wall all around the village, as big as they could make it with the little time they had.
'It really isn't needed to do all of this however It's not like my lazy ass is doing anything hard so who cares if others get tired and it does look cooler as a battle camp.' Seiran thought to himself as he sat on top of one of the spiked walls at the front of the camp whilst Rimuru was down on the ground waiting with the rest of the goblins all behind the wall.
For a moment they didn't notice anything however as the full moon came into view, they all heard it, the tens of wolf howls in the distance.
Moments after, Seiran could already hear the thumping of tens of wolves jumping towards their location.
"They're coming Rim." Seiran said aloud as he looked past the tree line.
At that moment the treeline started to become filled with eyes, and in the very next instant dozens of dire wolves entered into the clearing right infront of the village.
"Well well what is this? The goblins think they have a chance against us!" The leader of the Dire wolves, the biggest one of them all said aloud before roaring.
'He sure is cocky, is it because of our skills like great sage and information systems that we were able to lower our magicule aura to such a level that he can't detect it at all? That is a plus, being underestimate in a fight is always better than the enemy overestimating you and being on high guard.' Seiran thought to himself as he sat back carefree and decided that he wanted none of the work and let Rimuru continue to do as he wished.
'It's honestly crazy, I read about this scene, heck i saw it in an anime and now im part of it.' Seiran thought to himself as he saw Rimuru wobble ahead towards the wolf.
"Do not come any closer or I will attack!" Rimuru said loudly using his sonic skill, his voice resounding through the forest.
His words however didn't seem to have any effect on the Direwolf leader besides make him angrier that a mere slime was ordering him on what to do.
"You puny shit!" The direwolf roared as he jumped forward, at that moment he didn't notice the steel threads at all…
*Slchq*
A clean cut, his head was cleanly decapitated. The rest of the wolves stopped instantly as they looked on in shock.
Rimuru didn't hesitate for even a moment as his body instantly grew and enveloped the corpse, a moment later he transformed into the body of the Direwolf, only this time he was a much much larger direwolf than the leader had ever been.
*Roooarr!*
The roar that Rimuru in his dire wolf form used caused the very ground to shake as the goblins behind him held their ears in pain whilst the dire wolves instantly took a few steps back.
'Damn it, can you stop using sound attacks you bastard, I dont want my eardrums damanged, even if I dont feel pain because of my resistance, this is still shitty.' Seiran thought as he looked at the scene of the Direwolves starting to prostrate and whimper before Rimuru.
'Thats one heck of a way to tame wolves though.' Seiran thought as he walked forwards and stood next to Rimuru who had already turned back into his slime form.
"Well that's that I guess, good work everyone. We worked hard." Seiran said aloud with a smile.
"We? Where was We? What do you mean We? You damned lazy bastard!" Rimuru screamed as he bounced on Seirans arms intending to hit him however it had no effect at all.
"Ofcourse it's we. I… I did a lot too. Totally!" Seiran said as a shit eating grin appeared on his face and then he turned towards the dire wolves and instantly unleashed his magicule aura.
The whimpers instantly grew in intensity.
"See?" Seiran said as he laugh and made a pose.
"You look like an edge lord." Rimuru replied with a deadpan, his slime face seemed to somehow impossibly grow darker.
"Uh yeah.." Seiran replied as he faked a cough and turned around to walk back into the village.
That night passed peacefully, thankfully Seiran still had the ability to go asleep whilst Rimuru had sat next to him the entire night wide awake, slime's didnt sleep afterall.
When the first rays of the morning hit the small window of the mud hut, Seiran slowly opened his eyes and released a wide yawn before clearing his eyes.
"You're finally awake! I had nothing to do, the entire night!" Rimuru said instantly by his ear as he started bouncing on his face.
"Stop doing that you bastard!" Seiran said instantly as he shot up to his feet and cleaned his face with his hand.
'That's a damned thirty year old jumpin on my face, you won't fool me you damned otaku old man.' Seiran thought to himself, barely able to stop the shivers of disgust that almost overtook him at the mere image of a human thirty year old rimuru bouncing on his face.
'No, don't think of it. Don't fuckin think of it.' Seiran thought as he quickly shook his head.
"Alright, let's get going and talk with the goblins and direwolves then." Seiran said aloud as he turned and walked to the exit of the hut, slid the animal pelt that served as a door out of the way and headed outside into the sunlight.
