Violet walked into the restroom in her office without saying another word and barged through the door
She removed her heels and sat heavily on the toilet seat as Jude's words echoed relentlessly
"You didn't protect this family....you destroyed it"
She clenched her fist
"No!", she shouted
She looked at herself in the mirror
"I did what had to be done at the time", she whispered to herself
Those words didn't convince her enough as she wanted them to
Then she walked out of the restroom slowly as she walked towards her table, she opened the drawer and picked up the framed photograph
It had been taken during Tyler and Tia's fifth birthday celebration
Scarlett had left two days before their birthday and Violet could remember every activity
Tyler had chocolate icing smeared across his cheek while Tia clung happily to Violet's arm as they both still thought their mother was still coming
