Chapter 36 - When The Name Becomes Question

Scene 1: The Office Breakthrough

It started inside the company.

Not outside.

Not randomly.

A project Ishaan and his writing team had completed was released.

Mahi's contribution was included—but uncredited.

At first, it was just another corporate publication.

Clean.

Professional.

Expected.

But then—

people started reading it.

Scene 2: Unexpected Explosion

Within days—

the content spread beyond the company's expectation.

Readers didn't care about branding.

They cared about writing style.

Tone.

Depth.

Emotion.

Comments started flooding in:

"Who wrote this section?"

"This voice feels different."

"This writer is not ordinary."

And then it began:

"Find the writer."

Scene 3: Ishaan Notices First

Ishaan sat in the office reading feedback reports.

Silence.

No expression change.

Assistant:

"Sir… people are asking for the author identity."

Ishaan turned a page.

Calm voice:

"Let them ask."

Assistant:

"It is spreading beyond control."

Ishaan:

"Then we tighten control."

Still no panic.

Only precision.

Scene 4: Mahi at Work

Mahi sat at her desk in the writing division.

Laptop open.

New assignments waiting.

She wasn't aware of the full storm yet.

Only small mentions.

Small whispers in office corridors.

Colleague passing by:

"People are really trying to find the writer behind that piece."

Mahi didn't respond.

Just continued typing.

Anaya noticed from across the workspace.

But said nothing.

Only observed her briefly.

Scene 5: Ayaan Learns the Situation

Ayaan's office.

Late meeting.

Report placed on his desk.

"This writing piece is going viral," Anaya said.

Ayaan read silently.

"It is linked to our internal content division," she added.

Ayaan:

"Controlled release?"

Anaya:

"Yes. But attention is not controlled anymore."

A pause.

Ayaan closed the file.

"Find the source of exposure," he said.

Anaya:

"It's not leaked. It's appreciation-driven."

Ayaan:

"Same result. Different cause."

Scene 6: Kriti's Discovery

At home—

Kriti was scrolling her phone loudly.

"WAIT—THIS IS ACTUALLY CRAZY!"

Mahi looked up.

"What now."

Kriti turned her phone.

"This is your writing again!"

Mahi took it.

Looked.

Calm.

Then placed it back.

"It's just work," Mahi said.

Kriti:

"Work?? People are going insane trying to find the writer!"

Mahi didn't answer.

That silence was different now.

Heavier.

Scene 7: Ishaan's Control Plan

Ishaan called a private meeting.

"We continue publishing," he said.

Team member:

"But the demand for identity is increasing."

Ishaan:

"Then we keep it hidden."

Another pause.

"And if exposure becomes unavoidable?"

Ishaan:

"Then we decide who controls the narrative."

No emotion.

Only structure.

Scene 8: Anaya's Quiet Talk with Mahi

Later—

Anaya walked beside Mahi inside office corridor.

"You're handling it well," she said.

Mahi:

"I don't have a choice."

Anaya:

"You always have a choice."

Mahi looked ahead.

"…Not always."

Anaya didn't push further.

Just stayed beside her.

Scene 9: Ayaan's Final Thought in Meeting

Ayaan stood at the window after a meeting.

City below.

Noise above.

Assistant:

"Should we intervene more strongly?"

Ayaan:

"No."

Assistant:

"Then what do we do?"

Ayaan:

"Watch it carefully."

Pause.

"And prepare."

Scene 10: Ending – The Growing Question

News still spreading.

Office still buzzing.

Readers still searching.

And in the middle of everything—

Mahi continued working.

Quiet.

Focused.

Still unknown.

But no longer unnoticed.

Kriti whispered:

"If they find you… everything changes."

Mahi didn't respond.

And somewhere else—

Ayaan read the same report again.

Expression unchanged.

But attention sharper than before.
