Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: I'm Giving Up My Humanity

He originally wanted to have the guild crest stamped on his arm, but his arm was just too small; even if it were etched on, it wouldn't be fully visible. In the end, he could only have it tattooed on the left side of his chest—a glittering golden Fairy Tail crest.

Riyao touched the crest on his chest, curled his lip, and muttered softly, "In the future, I'll have to lower my neckline and sell my looks."

As soon as those words came out, Makarov, who was drinking, sprayed wine all over the table.

While he sat obediently at the bar drinking milk, Gildarts suddenly leaned over and asked curiously what his magic was. The surrounding people were also drawn over, all wanting to see what kind of magic this child, picked up by the Master, actually possessed.

Riyao reached out and pushed away Gildarts' large face as he approached, complaining with disgust, "You damn old man, the smell of alcohol on your breath is choking me."

He scratched his head and tried to channel the Healing Magic within his body. A layer of soft green light soon emanated from his palm, drawing a chorus of gasps from the crowd.

Makarov nodded with relief. "Few people can awaken healing-type magic on their own, and not many learn it later in life either. This is quite a rare magic."

Just as the Master finished speaking, he suddenly let out a sharp cry of surprise.

It turned out that while Makarov was speaking, Riyao had quietly pressed his hand against his stomach, simply wanting to see if he could heal anything. The next second, Makarov's expression changed, and he grabbed a roll of toilet paper, sprinting toward the restroom.

Riyao looked up with a cute and serious little face, speaking with total solemnity, "It seems I've cured Master Grandpa's constipation."

In the distance, Makarov was fuming with rage, shouting at the top of his lungs as he ran, "What the hell are you talking about?! You guys are talking nonsense! How could I possibly be constipated! That's complete rubbish!"

Riyao maintained that serious expression and added calmly, "Master Grandpa must be shy. After all, he is the Master; it's not impossible that such a thing is hard to talk about."

He pondered silently: Did the Healing Magic make everything in the old man's gut become cheerful?

The guild instantly erupted into boisterous laughter. Gildarts slapped the bar, laughing so hard he couldn't stand straight. "Riyao's magic is just too interesting, hahaha!"

The bar shook from the slapping, and Riyao, unhappy with the wobbling, reached out and pressed his hand directly onto Gildarts' stomach.

And so, Gildarts also received a 'restroom gift pack.'

Macao and the others laughed even harder, and several female guild members gathered around to tease him. For Riyao, who was an adult at heart but a three-year-old on the outside, this treatment was simply too comfortable.

After a while, Makarov walked out of the restroom with a dark face, returned to the bar, and stared resentfully at the little tyke in front of him.

"You brat, don't use me as a guinea pig, hey!"

Riyao immediately put on an innocent look and said softly, "I just wanted to see if I could heal something for the Master."

Looking at him like this, Makarov couldn't really stay angry. He rubbed his chin and mused, "Riyao, since you have Healing Magic, how about Master Grandpa finds you a teacher? If Healing Magic isn't used well, it might actually hurt others instead."

Hearing this, a thought immediately popped into Riyao's head: In these two vastly different worlds, would the structure of the human body be very different?

He nodded his little head and asked with a feigned look of bewilderment, "Is Master Grandpa going to teach me?"

Makarov shook his head, picked him up, and placed him on his shoulder, saying as they walked, "It's an old friend of mine. She is best at Medical Magic. Her name is Porlyusica; you can just call her Granny Porlyusica."

So it's her.

Before Riyao could think more, Makarov added with a strange expression, "Her temper might be a bit bad, and she's a bit eccentric... but overall, she's still very gentle."

Traveling deep into the forest on the eastern outskirts of Magnolia, Makarov and Riyao on his shoulder stood together before the door of Porlyusica's Treehouse.

Porlyusica came out with a broom and said displeasurably, "It's you again, you old geezer, and you brought a little trouble with you. Didn't I say I hate humans? Get out!"

Makarov chuckled awkwardly, "Haha, well, this kid Riyao awakened Healing Magic on his own, and I thought you could give him some guidance."

Riyao leaned on Makarov's shoulder and nodded his little head. Seeing Porlyusica's face full of resistance, his eyes darted around, his inner drama king instantly taking over, and he once again uttered words that shocked everyone.

"Since Granny Porlyusica doesn't like humans, then I won't be human anymore!"

Both Porlyusica and Makarov froze, their faces filled with shock as they stared blankly at this three-year-old little fellow. What kind of thunderous statement was this? Not being human? Do you think you're Dio? Wait, who is Dio?

Riyao got down from Makarov's shoulder, turned around, put his small hands behind his back, looked up at the sky, and said in a childish voice:

"I'm done pretending; I'm laying my cards on the table. Actually, I'm the Child of a God, sent down to the mortal world for training."

The two old people's mouths twitched. Makarov complained, "You little brat whose hair hasn't even grown in yet, a Child of a God? You're clearly a Demon Brat!"

He tilted his head back, his big eyes moist and his long eyelashes trembling slightly, using the ultimate skill of a three-year-old—acting cute. His voice was so soft it could practically melt: "Granny I'm very well-behaved, and I learn things very quickly. Just teach me, please"

Porlyusica's face remained cold. She feigned impatience as she tried to push Riyao away from her leg, but the little guy held on tight and couldn't be shaken off.

Seeing this scene, Makarov knew nothing good would come of staying. He gave Riyao a look, then greased his soles and slipped away, turning and running instantly to disappear into the forest, leaving behind only a trail of guilty laughter.

"You old geezer! You actually left me and ran!" Porlyusica shouted toward the forest, her face looking even worse.

Riyao continued to hug her calf, looking up at her obediently without making a fuss. He just stared at her with those clear, innocent eyes, full of patience.

After a long stalemate, Porlyusica eventually couldn't win against this clingy little fellow. Seeing the green healing light that hadn't yet fully dissipated from his palm and feeling the pure, warm magic within him, her cold expression finally softened slightly.

She sighed, put down the broom, and looked at Riyao with a helpless face. "I'm truly afraid of you. Starting tomorrow, come here every afternoon, and I'll teach you medical knowledge and the correct usage of Healing Magic. But let me set the ground rules first: no mischief, no reckless magic experiments, and definitely no making fun of me!"

Riyao's eyes lit up. He immediately let go, stood up properly, and gave Porlyusica a respectful bow. His little face was full of a sly yet obedient smile. "Got it! Thank you, Granny Porlyusica! I'll definitely be good and won't cause any trouble!"
