Chapter 3 - Inviting Daniel On Vacation Together

On Saturday afternoon, Liana and her parents chatted on the terrace of the house, discussing Liana's plans to go on holiday to a village which was quite far from that city.

Liana lied to Kim and Davin so they wouldn't worry, but her lie would one day bring new problems for the sweet girl.

After getting permission from her father and mother, Liana called Daniel to tell him that she and five of her friends were going on holiday in a village that was famous for being haunted, and also invited her boyfriend to go on holiday there.

"Hello, Niel. What are you doing? Am I bothering you?" asked Liana.

At that time, Daniel was working on his thesis at Rendy's house, Daniel's college friend.

"Hello, Na. You are not bothering me, I am working on my thesis at Rendy's house," answered Daniel.

"Niel, tomorrow Monday my friends and I are going on holiday in the village for a few days. Do you want to come with us, don't you?"

"Vacation in the village? Do you want to holiday there? Did I hear that correctly? You are a spoiled city girl, can you live in the village even if it's just on holiday?" sneered Daniel

"Yes, it's okay if I go on holiday in the village once in a while." Liana pouted because Daniel was mocking her.

"Which village do you want to go to?" Daniel asked curiously.

"Emm ... to Phoenix Village. More precisely, a haunted village, there are empty and haunted houses there," explained Liana.

"Gosh! What are you looking for there, Na? Don't be weird, isn't there another place for a holiday besides that village?" Daniel's voice sounded worried and shocked.

"It seems like there aren't any other villages, Niel. Besides, the other villages aren't that challenging and don't have any ghosts either. I don't want to look for anything there, I just want to have an adventure in a new place, that's all." Liana answered casually without paying attention to Daniel's concerns.

"Then I will go there with you, Rendy and I. At the same time working on my thesis in the haunted village," said Daniel.

"What about your thesis? Are you sure you can do your thesis in a place where there is no wifi?"

"Hey, you were the one who invited me to go on holiday with you guys, now why are you asking me like that?"

"Okay, if you are sure you want to go with me to the village, you first ask your father and mother for permission."

"Of course, Na."

"Okay, I will wait for you at home Monday, at 5 am," concluded Liana, smiling broadly.

"Okay."

Click, Liana hung up the phone with Daniel, then she lay down on the soft and comfortable mattress. Liana can't wait to go on an adventure with her college friends as soon as possible, as well as confirm the truth of Kimberly's story about the girl's ghost.

After chatting with Liana on the phone earlier, Daniel was in a hurry to work on chapter 3 of his thesis at Rendy's house, because he wanted to ask his parents for permission to go on holiday to Phoenix Village with Liana and her friends.

Rendy stopped his activities for a moment, he noticed Daniel's strange behavior after talking to his girlfriend on the telephone earlier.

"Niel, what's wrong with you? Your face looks so worried," said Rendy, frowning.

"I want to go back home, Ren. By the way, I want to take you on holiday in a haunted village. Do you want to come with me or not?" Daniel asked.

"What?? A haunted village?? Did I hear you correctly? Since when did you dare to go on holiday in a place where there are ghosts?" sneered Randy.

"Never mind, don't ask too many questions. Do you want to come with us or not?"

"I am going on holiday in the village, I want to know whether there really are ghosts there or not," concluded Rendy while thinking.

"We're leaving Monday morning. Do you want me to pick you up or do you want to go to my house?" Daniel asked again.

"I'll just go to your house, what time do you meet with your girl friend?"

"4 am," said Daniel casually.

"Okay, tomorrow I'll come to your house at 4 in the morning, he, he."

"Okay, I'll wait tomorrow morning. Don't be late." Daniel spoke while putting his laptop and several books into his bag.

"Yes, Sir."

"I'll go back first, please tell your mom and dad that I am coming home," Daniel asked.

"Yes, I will tell them later." Rendy stood leaning against the wall of his room.

After saying goodbye to Rendy, Daniel left Rendy's house, opened the gate, drove his motorbike forward, then closed the gate. Exactly at 7 pm, Daniel went home while Rendy went back to working on his thesis.

Monday Morning, 4 am at Liana's house.

Liana woke up from her sleep after hearing the alarm continuously ringing on the table. She stretched while yawning widely, "Hoahhmm..."

"Emm, soon I will start a new adventure in a haunted village with my friends and girlfriend," Liana monologued, then she rubbed her eyes.

At Liana's house, Davin and Kim also woke up. They deliberately woke up at 4 in the morning, because they wanted to have breakfast with their daughter before she went on holiday to the village.

They considered that girl still like a 12 year old child, so they felt worried when Liana expressed her intention to go on holiday in an unknown village with her college friends.

Kimberly immediately left her room, stepped into the kitchen, and started cooking her daughter's favorite food. Meanwhile, Davin went into Liana's room to help her put the clothes into the suitcase.

"Morning, Na," said Davin, smiling broadly at Liana

"Good Morning, Dad," said Liana, returning her father's smile. "Dad, how come you are awake at this hour?"

"I deliberately woke up very early because I wanted to have breakfast with you," answered Davin while stroking Liana's head.

"I am not going anywhere, Dad. I am just going on holiday in the village, I am not going to move out of town either. Don't worry too much about me, Dad doesn't need to bother having breakfast with me," said Liana.

"Why do you say that? What's the problem if we want to have breakfast with you this morning?Later in the village you won't be able to have breakfast with us, Daddy also doesn't know whether there you can eat the menu like at home or not."

"Don't worry, my friends and I will definitely eat properly and regularly, even if we only eat instant noodles," Liana grinned, her attitude made Davin even more worried about his daughter.

"Do you really want to eat instant noodles every day??" asked Davin frowning.

"No, Dad," answered Liana.

"Later there, you and your friends can go to the town which is not far from the village, you buy groceries at the mini market, remember not to eat carelessly," Davin embraced his daughter.

"Yes, Dad," Liana nodded her head.

After chatting with his daughter, Davin returned to his room, turned on his cellphone which was placed on the work table, then he called someone.

"Eddy, you don't have to go to the office this morning. I have another task for you," said Davin.

"Yes, Sir," said Eddy.

"You follow Liana and her friends who are going on holiday in the village. Watch them, but be careful, don't let them know that you are following them," said Davin.

"I understand, Sir."

"Bring Billy and Andri too. You can't go to the village alone," said Davin.

"That means today, Billy, Andri and I will have permission to go to Mrs. Alexa first or--"

"You don't need Mrs. Alena's permission, I will tell her if you have a meeting with a client out of town."

"Alright, Sir."

"Before you leave, you and the others wait outside my housing complex. You can just use the office car, so that no one at the office will suspect you."

"Yes, Sir."
