Chapter 61 - You’re Already a Mature Pikachu, You Should Learn to Feed Yourself

Thinking about it this way, DR. Kureha opened all of those scrolls and flipped through them once, then skimmed through those medical books as well. Her eyes immediately began to shine. "Incredible! This actually involves a completely unknown power system, and even the medical concepts are things I've never seen before!"

"Heh! This definitely doesn't look like something from this world!"

Her experience was extensive. At a glance, she could already tell how extraordinary and valuable these things were.

"Then let's test it out! If all of this is real, it's worth far more than the things I lost!"

With that thought, Kureha directly fused with the chakra seed, then began trying to extract chakra.

In just a few minutes, she succeeded.

But there wasn't much joy on her face. Instead, her brows furrowed slightly. "So it requires consuming cells and mental energy to synthesize? If enough nutrition isn't replenished in time, it'll probably shorten one's lifespan and affect longevity."

"But on the other hand, if one can master a method of storing chakra long-term and then use it in reverse to nourish the body, it should indirectly extend lifespan instead."

"Hehehe… now this is a little interesting. I'll have to research it properly!"

"And once I figure it all out, I can teach it to that brat Chopper. This thing would be even more useful for him while traveling outside."

"It's just that this chakra seed needs to be studied thoroughly. I need to understand its essence before I can recreate it. Otherwise, everything else is pointless."

The vision ended there.

"Holy shit!"

The next moment, before Akira could even finish marveling, he saw a huge amount of stuff begin raining down endlessly from midair.

There were medical instruments, medicinal herbs, and medical books.

Akira hurriedly stretched out his hands to catch everything while continuously tossing them into his spatial ring.

His whole body turned into lightning. In the end, relying on sheer speed, he managed to save all of it and stuff it into the spatial ring.

After finishing, Akira collapsed onto the ground and couldn't help but complain, "Exchange Talent, you really dropped the ball this time! How can you do something this messy? Next time, just help me store it directly into my spatial ring, okay? At worst, at least put it neatly on the floor! What if something got smashed?"

He hadn't expected there to be this many items this time.

"But this is the real treasure!"

[DR. Kureha's Medical Inheritance Crystal]: Contains the complete lifetime medical experience and inheritance of the ageless witch, DR. Kureha.

Akira spread open his hand and held a crystal up before his eyes, a broad smile appearing on his face.

By fusing with it, he could directly obtain all of her medical knowledge and experience.

(Kureha thought she made a profit, but little did she know, the Exchange Talent never makes a losing trade.)

While watching the vision, Akira had thought the same as Kureha. He assumed this exchange had only yielded a large quantity of medical books, herbs, instruments, and the like.

He hadn't expected the Exchange Talent to silently copy Kureha's medical skills as well.

"Exchange Talent, I freaking love you! You really do give me exactly what I want!"

Akira happily praised it in his heart.

Although these past two months had filled in many of his shortcomings, there were still some things he lacked.

Earlier, he had been complaining about not having the means to make nutrient solutions and medicinal pills. Now that gap had finally been filled.

Without hesitation, Akira pressed the inheritance crystal against his forehead.

The crystal turned into a stream of light and entered Akira's mind. Immediately afterward, he closed his eyes and stood motionless in place.

A massive amount of medical knowledge and experience surged into his mind. Even though Akira's mental strength was already high, and he had recently improved it further by cultivating the meditation method obtained from Nicolas Flamel, he still felt his head swelling painfully.

There was simply too much information.

It took him more than an hour to barely digest it.

As for fully sorting through and completely absorbing it, that would probably take several more days.

Still, just the portion he had digested already left Akira astonished. "Amazing. In terms of pure medical skill and pharmacology, she leaves Sister Tsunade in the dust by more than ten streets."

The two simply weren't on the same level in those areas.

At this point, Akira flashed into the spatial ring again. Looking at the huge pile of medical instruments, books, and herbs before him, he was no longer completely clueless.

Of course, Tsunade's medical ninjutsu was extremely powerful. Combined with this medical knowledge, it would basically be enough for anything.

On the contrary, he was now completely familiar with the functions and properties of these instruments and herbs.

"With this, I can start mass-producing nutrient solutions."

He acted immediately, sorting through all of the equipment, books, and medicinal ingredients.

The books that belonged on shelves went onto shelves, while the ones that needed to be placed in the lab were arranged neatly in the corresponding areas.

Among them were some unique medicinal herbs from the pirate world that could still be cultivated. Akira directly planted those into the empty land inside the Beast Space.

If he wanted a sustainable supply in the future, he needed to let these medicines reproduce first.

At present, inside the spatial ring, he had already roughly built a fairly simple villa, laboratory, and a few other facilities.

Once things became more convenient in the future, he would continue improving and upgrading those structures.

"Mm! I'm still missing some herbs! Luckily, the ones in the Beast Space have already matured through several batches, and some of the others are almost ready too."

Akira quickly identified a suitable type of nutrient solution, then took out some herbs from the Beast Space and combined them with some of the medicinal ingredients exchanged from Kureha, beginning the production process.

As time passed, Akira's proficiency rose at a rapid pace. During the process, he also discovered that the fusion of the medical inheritance in his mind had begun accelerating.

That was definitely a good thing.

"Ah! Done!"

At the beginning, he had still been somewhat clumsy. After all, this was his first attempt, and he hadn't fully absorbed the inheritance yet.

After spending over two hours, Akira finally succeeded in producing a batch of nutrient solutions.

"Not bad! They've already reached my standards! They're several times better than the soldier pills sold on the market, the taste is better too, and the side effects are practically nonexistent."

He picked up a bottle and downed it in one gulp, then closed his eyes and carefully felt the effects.

"With this, both stamina recovery and nutritional replenishment should be more than enough for now!"

After a round of summary and analysis, Akira opened his eyes and came to that conclusion.

Then, he started bottling the nutrient solutions.

This batch contained more than a hundred bottles in total, enough to last him for quite some time.

However, he didn't rush out of the spatial ring. Instead, he continued making medicine.

This time, though, it wasn't nutrient solution, but special antidotes, hemostatic medicine, healing medicine, and the like.

Although he had bought a batch before, now he could make even better versions himself.

These were all things that would come in handy while traveling outside.

By the time he finished making all these medicines, another three hours had passed.

"Pika?" (Why did you take so long to come out? It's already past mealtime. Are you trying to starve me to death?)

When Akira emerged from the spatial ring, he found that it was already dark outside.

The next moment, he saw a golden blur pounce toward him. Akira reached out and caught it, only for Pikachu to angrily wave its little paws at him while accusing him with a resentful face.

This was abuse.

"Ahahaha!"

Akira laughed awkwardly. "My bad, I lost track of time! Come on! Let's go eat right now!"

"Speaking of which, Pikachu, you should learn human language already. That way, you can use the Gourmet Tablecloth to order food yourself!"

You're already a mature Pikachu. You should learn how to feed yourself and become self-sufficient!

"Pika pi!!" (If I could learn it that easily, would you even need to say it? Pokémon just aren't made to learn human language that way.)

Pikachu was furious.

Did he think human language was that easy to learn?

"There are quite a few Pokémon who've learned human language, though! Pikachu, you should work harder!"

The next moment, Pikachu leapt out of Akira's arms, hopped onto one of his shoulders, rubbed its cheek against Akira's face, and cried out brightly, "Pika!" (Let's go!)

"Heh."

Akira smiled, raised a hand to rub Pikachu's head, pinched its cheek, then walked out of the courtyard and headed toward the Hokage Building.

"Wow! What's that on that big brother's shoulder? It's so cute!"

"Is that a summon beast? The chakra fluctuations aren't weak at all!"

"Brother, can you draw that little one for me?"

Along the way, because of Pikachu, Akira attracted quite a bit of attention and quite a bit of harassment as well.

It took a lot of effort for him to finally escape. By the time he arrived at the Hokage Building, more than ten minutes had already passed.

The time had barely reached eight o'clock.

From a distance, Akira saw that Kakashi and Yuhi Shinku had already arrived. He hurried over and said while catching his breath, "Just made it! Sorry! I'm late! I kept you waiting!"

"Not really."

Yuhi Shinku shook his head, then couldn't help glancing at Pikachu on Akira's shoulder as he asked, "Is this your summon beast? The little guy does look pretty cute, and its chakra isn't weak either. How strong is it?"

No matter how he looked at it, this thing seemed more like a mascot.

Yet it possessed chakra on par with a Chunin, which was why Yuhi Shinku found it strange.

Moreover, this seemed to be an entirely new species he had never seen before.

It looked somewhat mouse-like.

Just much cuter than an actual mouse.

"Kurenai would probably really like a little thing like this, wouldn't she?"

Yuhi Shinku thought to himself.

Then his expression changed slightly, becoming a little unpleasant.

He had forgotten—this thing belonged to Akira, that brat. If Kurenai ended up liking this little creature, wouldn't that just make her cling even more to Akira?

"This kid definitely picked such a cute summon beast on purpose. He's got ulterior motives."

Yuhi Shinku grumbled inwardly in dissatisfaction.
