Chapter 45 - A Jealous Father — Pichu Hatches

Early the next morning—

Akira used the Gourmet Tablecloth to prepare a rich breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly.

As usual, he created a shadow clone and sent it off to the ninja academy.

"Seriously… you should go to school yourself sometimes! Kurenai Yuhi and the others miss you. And we've already learned everything they're teaching lately—it's boring!"

The shadow clone complained.

Being treated like a tool all the time didn't feel right.

It had its own thoughts too, you know.

"I told you, you can just borrow books from the library. I still have plenty I haven't read."

"And you can also help me review and deepen my understanding of medical knowledge."

Akira waved it off.

A shadow clone's purpose was to be useful.

"As for Kurenai—tomorrow's Saturday. We'll have time to hang out then."

He had already planned everything.

"…Fine."

The clone sighed helplessly and left for school.

Akira, on the other hand, began his morning run around Konoha.

Halfway through, he ran into Kurenai.

"Morning, Akira! This one's your real body, right?"

She asked, slightly out of breath.

"Morning, Kurenai."

Akira smiled. "Yeah, the clone went to school. What about you? Out running too?"

"Hehe!"

Kurenai laughed but didn't answer directly. Instead, she asked, "Then… how about we run together every morning from now on?"

Why?

Simple.

She wanted to spend time with the real Akira.

A clone wasn't the same.

"Sure. If you want to."

Akira understood her intention but didn't expose it.

"Really?!"

Kurenai nearly jumped with excitement.

What she didn't notice—

About twenty meters behind her, standing atop a tree—

Kurenai Yuhi was watching them coldly with his arms crossed.

His expression was… sour.

Extremely sour.

"That brat…"

"If he weren't the disciple of White Fang and Tsunade, I'd teach him a proper lesson!"

To him, Akira was nothing more than a pig trying to snatch his precious cabbage.

And the more he looked, the more displeased he felt.

Kurenai was still just a child.

Yet she was training so hard—for a boy?

That thought alone made his mood worse.

Unfortunately, he couldn't stop it.

Because if he tried—

Kurenai definitely wouldn't stand on his side.

And that… was the most painful part.

After morning training, Akira headed to the hospital and continued assisting Meiko.

Over the past few days, he had been absorbing knowledge like a sponge.

His growth speed left Meiko speechless.

"If only I had talent like that… I might have at least reached a level that satisfies Lady Tsunade."

She watched Akira skillfully treating a patient, feeling a bit envious.

Some people were just built differently.

"Meiko, I need to step out for about an hour."

After finishing treatment, Akira checked his Beast Space.

Pikachu was about to hatch.

"Alright, go ahead. Just come back soon—there are a lot of patients today."

Meiko didn't ask questions and agreed immediately.

"Thanks! I'll be back soon!"

Akira rushed home at full speed.

Then—

He projected his consciousness into the Beast Space, forming a mental body beside the egg.

For now, he couldn't enter physically—only as a consciousness form.

But with future upgrades, that would likely change.

"Crack… crack…"

Soon, the egg began to split.

Fine cracks spread rapidly across its surface.

A golden light floated out and hovered above it.

When the light faded—

A small, adorable yellow mouse appeared.

"Pii… chu?"

The newborn Pichu dropped from the air.

Akira quickly caught it.

The Beast Space was special—his mental form could interact with physical objects.

Pichu tilted its head curiously at him.

Sensing their connection—

It immediately leapt into his arms and nuzzled against him affectionately.

"Pii-chu!"

"Haha!"

Akira laughed and gently stroked its fur.

With a thought, he cleaned off the remaining egg fluid.

The soft fur felt amazing.

"Here, have some milk first."

He returned to his body, summoned Pichu out of the Beast Space, and used the Gourmet Tablecloth to create a bottle of nutritious milk.

"Pichu!!"

Pichu happily hugged the bottle with its tiny paws and drank eagerly, its face full of satisfaction.

After finishing, it let out a small burp…

Then quickly grew sleepy.

Akira smiled and sent it back into the Beast Space.

At that moment—

A warm current flowed back into his body.

His mental strength increased.

His vitality and physique improved slightly.

Even his control over lightning felt just a bit sharper.

Not a huge boost—

But still something.
