Chapter 9 - FINAL EPISODE: CHAPTER 10-SMASHED OR SAVED

The car didn't stop moving.

But everything else did.

My thoughts.

My breath.

My sense of who I was.

I sat beside Liam, my hand still in his.

Not pulling away.

Not holding tighter.

Just there.

"You're quiet," he said.

I stared ahead.

"I'm thinking."

"About running again?"

I shook my head slowly.

"No."

A pause.

"I'm done running."

That got his attention.

I felt it.

Even without looking.

"Then what are you doing?" he asked.

I finally turned to him.

And for the first time since everything fell apart,

My voice didn't shake.

"I'm choosing."

Silence filled the car,

But this time,

It wasn't heavy.

It was steady.

"Good," Liam said quietly.

The car slowed.

Then stopped.

"This is it," he added.

I looked outside.

Another building.

Bigger.

More guarded.

Less hidden.

"This is where it ends?" I asked.

His gaze stayed on the entrance.

"No," he said.

A pause.

"This is where we end it."

He rubbed my shoulder and gave me a warm embrace.

He gave the look of reassurance.

Inside,

Everything felt different.

Not quiet.

Not controlled.

Alert.

People moved faster.

Voices were sharper.

Security tighter.

"They're expecting us," I said.

"They've been expecting you,"

Liam corrected.

That no longer scared me the way it should have.I didn't snap or lower my body in defeat or fear.

Because now,

I understood something.

I wasn't just in their system.

I was the central body.

And that meant,

I could break it.

The doors opened.

And he was already there.

The man.

Waiting.

Like he knew we would come.

"Right on time," he said smoothly.

I didn't hide this time.

Didn't step back.

Didn't let Liam stand fully in front of me.

Instead,

I stepped beside him.

The man noticed.

And smiled.

"Ah," he said. "She's learning."

"No," I replied calmly with a straight shoulder.

"I'm done being controlled."

Something flickered in his eyes.

Interest.

"That's not how this works," he said.

"It is now."

Silence.

Then he laughed softly.

"You think knowing the truth gives you power?"

I held his gaze.

"No," I said.

A pause.

"But choosing what I do with it does."

That was new.

Even to me.

The room shifted.

Subtly.

Because now,

I wasn't reacting.

I was deciding.

"You were designed for this," he continued. "Every emotion. Every step. Every decision."

"Then you made a mistake," I said sharply.

His smile faded slightly.

"You forgot one thing."

"And what is that?"

I stepped forward.

"You don't control what I feel."

Silence.

Then,

His gaze hardened.

"Wrong."

He pressed something.

The screens behind him lit up.

Images.

Videos.

Memories.

Me.

Laughing.

Crying.

Falling.

Then,

Liam.

Every moment we shared.

Replayed.

Analyzed.

Broken down.

My chest tightened.

"You call that love?" he asked.

I realized Liam was right about being watched aside the party night.

I didn't answer.

Because for a second,

I wasn't sure.

I just knew I wanted to be in Liam's embrace, his presence, his cologne.

All of it.

Liam stepped forward.

"That's enough."

His voice wasn't just cold anymore.

It was personal.

"Shut it down," he ordered.

"No," the man said calmly. "She needs to see what she is."

My hands clenched.

"I know what I am," I said firmly.

Both of them looked at me swiftly.

.

"I'm not your weapon."

The man smiled again.

"You were built to be."

"And you were built to control?," I

shot back.

A pause.

"But look at you now."

Silence.

Because it was true.

He wasn't in control anymore.

We were standing in front of him.

Together.

And that changed everything.

"End it," Set I and Zara free Liam ordered.

The man tilted his head.

"You would destroy everything you've built just for her?"

Liam didn't hesitate.

"Yes." I will do that over and over.

Nothing will be destroyed with her by my side, the system only has to go, free us because I didn't build this cage."

I was taken by surprise by his words, I wasn't expecting such.

Maybe he feels the same energy like me but is in control of his unlike me,

Poor at hiding.

That wasn't a strategy.

That wasn't control.

That was a choice.

The man studied him for a long moment. I could see rage in his eyes.

Then looked at me.

And for the first time,

He looked uncertain. I caught that.

"You weren't supposed to choose each other," he said quietly.

"But we did." We both chorused.

I stepped closer.

"I want her, I choose her." Liam declared with emotions.

"I would rather destroy you who is hungry for control than destroy us."

You want the world to hear or see the system you built around me, selecting and controlling all of my choices right from Childhood.

His posture dropped, I saw a brief fear surge through his eyes like one surrendering his will to fight.

Silence.

And,

He laughed.

Soft.

Almost impressed.

"Then take it," he said after drifting his eyes on us for a long time.

"Take your freedom." He flung his hands into the air defeatedly.

Dan, Liam called out to the strange man at the party.

And I learnt his name for the first time.

The screens shut down.

The lights dimmed.

The system,

Collapsed.

I stood there.

Breathing.

Shaking.

"It's over?" I asked uncertainly.

Liam looked at me.

"Yes."

But something in his eyes said,

Not everything.

Outside,

The world felt different.

Quieter.

Real.

I turned to him.

"You can go back now," I said softly.

His brow furrowed.

"Back where?"

"To your life. Your control. Your world."

I, to my home, my makeup, my city.

He stared at me.

Then shook his head.

"I already chose."

My heart skipped.

"You don't have to anymore."

"I want to."

Silence.

Real silence.

The kind that doesn't hurt.

The kind that wants more.

"What about me?" I asked.

His gaze softened.

"That's up to you."

For the first time,

That didn't scare me.

I stepped closer.

Slowly.

Not because I had to.

But because I wanted to.

"You said you don't lose things you care about," I whispered into his ears, pressing into him deeply.

His eyes held mine.

His rod hardened against my mid thighs.

"I don't."

My heart raced.

"Then don't lose me." Planting an affectionate kiss into his mouth.

Oh, how much I've long to do that again after the chaotic night.

That was all it took.

He closed the distance between us.

Not rushed.

Not forced.

Certain.

His hand lifted, gently

resting against my cheeks.

He caressed both over and over with the skill of a man in control.

And this time

I didn't pull away.

Because this time,

I knew.

This wasn't designed.

This wasn't control.

This was real.

And when his lips finally met mine again, willing by himself,

It was soft.

slow.

certain.

His hand squeezing my blossom,

I, grinding hard on his hardened rod.

The other hand traveling down to my moulded butt,

Squeezed and tapped,

Sending signal, sensations to my Tilts.

I let out a moan, one I've always long for.

Nothing else mattered.

Not the system.

Not the past.

Not the fear.

Just us.

Maybe I was chosen.

Maybe I was being watched.

Maybe I was built into something I never asked for.

But in the end,

I chose who I became.

And I chose him.
