Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The chosen One

Darkness.

KS slowly opened his eyes.

But… something felt off.

There was no ground beneath him.

No sky.

No sound.

Just an endless void.

"…Where am I?"

A deep voice echoed—

Calm.

Ancient.

"You stand… between worlds."

KS turned.

And froze.

Before him stood a massive figure.

A dragon.

Its body shimmered with a faint glow.

Its eyes—ancient, yet steady.

Powerful.

Unshaken.

"…Who are you?"

The dragon lowered its head slightly.

"My name is Aetherion"

A pause.

"You may call me… Dragoon."

KS's breath became uneven.

"A… dragon…?"

Dragoon didn't react.

"You already know the story of King Sanuo."

KS's expression shifted.

"…That story… was real?"

"Yes."

"The power of the five elements…"

"…was granted by me."

KS's mind raced.

"Then… Nemesis…"

Dragoon's voice grew heavier.

"Was never destroyed."

A pause.

"It was sealed."

"…And that seal is weakening."

Silence.

KS clenched his fists.

"So what does that have to do with me?"

Dragoon stepped forward.

The void itself trembled.

"See it… for yourself."

Suddenly—

The world shattered.

The Vision: 2000 years ago

A battlefield.

The sky burned in dark crimson.

The ground was broken… lifeless.

Five warriors stood together.

Each surrounded by overwhelming power.

Water surged like an ocean.

Fire roared like a storm.

Thunder tore through the sky.

Wind screamed across the battlefield.

Earth shook beneath everything.

But—

One stood slightly ahead.

Not louder.

Not more aggressive.

Yet the others moved with him.

As if his presence alone held them together.

KS's eyes locked onto him.

There was something different.

Not just power.

Something deeper.

Then—

The air collapsed.

A figure emerged.

Darkness.

Not just around it—

but as it.

Nemesis.

Its presence crushed everything.

Even the elements faltered.

The warriors attacked.

Together.

Power collided.

The world trembled.

But it wasn't enough.

They were being pushed back.

Overwhelmed.

KS felt it.

That pressure.

That fear.

Like existence itself was breaking apart.

Then—

The sky split open.

Dragoon appeared above.

Radiant.

Massive.

For a brief moment—

The warrior ahead looked up.

Their eyes met.

No words.

Just understanding.

Then—

The final clash began.

Light against darkness.

Everything vanished in a blinding explosion.

Silence.

Back To Void

The vision shattered.

KS staggered.

Breathing heavily.

"What… was that…?"

Dragoon's voice echoed again.

"The moment… Nemesis was sealed."

KS looked up.

"…That person…"

"King Sanuo."

A pause.

"The first Dragon Warrior."

KS's eyes narrowed.

"…Like me?"

Dragoon stared at him.

"…You walk the same path."

Silence.

Ks mind became unstable and thoughts start to fulfil his mind

Mizuki.

Tejas.

The fight.

"They got hurt… because of me…"

His fists tightened.

"…If I stay like this…"

"…more people will suffer."

A breath.

Slow.

Heavy.

KS looked up.

"…Fine."

"I'll do it."

Dragoon's gaze sharpened.

"Understand this…"

"This power will not come without cost."

"It will break you… before it makes you stronger."

Silence.

"…And once you accept it…"

"…there is no turning back."

For a moment—

KS said nothing.

Then—

"…I've already lost everything."

His voice steadied.

"What's left to lose?"

A faint glow began to rise around him.

Dragoon spoke—

"Then rise…"

"Dragon Warrior."

The world shattered.

Back to reality

KS's body stirred.

Mizuki and Tejas stood nearby.

Watching closely.

KS slowly opened his eyes.

For a moment—

They changed.

Deeper.

Sharper.

Then—

Normal again.

"…Where am I?"

Mizuki exhaled quietly.

"You're finally awake."

Tejas didn't relax.

Not even a little.

His eyes stayed locked on KS.

"…That power wasn't normal."

A step forward.

"You're going to explain it."

KS tried to sit up—

Suddenly—

A sharp pain hit his chest.

His breath caught.

For a split second—

he couldn't move.

Then—

it vanished.

"…I'm fine," he muttered.

But something felt wrong.

As he steadied himself—

A faint glow flickered on his wrist.

A symbol.

Gone before he could fully see it.

KS looked at both of them.

This time—

he didn't look away.

"…Yeah."

A pause.

"…But you're not going to like it."
