Chapter 8 - When Worlds Collide

[Guild Member "Ryujin" has uploaded a one-minute video. Click to view.]

The notification instantly drew everyone's attention.

"Meow? What's this?" Linglong blinked in confusion.

"A video? The guild has a feature like this?" Asuna sounded surprised.

"Whoa… this guild actually has so many functions," Eriri added excitedly. "I just noticed—it can share visuals, send voice messages, even upload videos!"

Utaha's calm voice followed, laced with her usual sharpness.

"You're only noticing that now?"

A brief silence settled over the chat.

"…?"

Utaha Kasumigaoka's daily verbal strike—perfectly executed.

Without further delay, everyone opened the video.

One minute later—

Linglong was the first to speak.

"…Wait, what did I just watch? Why do they all look exactly the same? And those weapons the girls are using… are those throwing knives? They look really cool!"

Asuna quickly replied,

"They're not ordinary weapons. Those are probably kunai. And that girl… she's a ninja."

Utaha added thoughtfully,

"I've seen kunai mentioned in novels and manga before. I always assumed they were fictional, but it seems… in your world, they actually exist."

Eriri was still trying to process everything.

"If those are kunai… then what about the identical girls? Don't tell me they're some kind of… multiple births? Can the new member explain?"

Ryujin responded calmly.

"They're not multiple people. It's a technique."

A brief pause followed before he added,

"They're all the same person. A type of clone created through ninjutsu. I'm currently teaching her this technique. It's called the Shadow Clone Technique."

The chat exploded again.

"Shadow Clone Technique?" Utaha typed slowly. "So ninjutsu is actually real? I always assumed it was purely fictional."

"Wait, wait—hold on!" Eriri jumped in. "Does that mean you're some kind of ninja expert?! And you're teaching others too?" Her excitement practically burst through the screen.

"A real big shot…!"

"Teach me too!"

"I want to learn this Shadow Clone thing! Imagine creating ten copies of myself and beating up a certain someone together—no matter how sharp her tongue is, she wouldn't stand a chance!"

"…?"

Utaha stared at the message, momentarily speechless.

Is this blonde idiot's life goal really that shallow?

Asuna's message appeared next.

"If it's possible… I'd like to learn as well."

For them, ninjutsu wasn't just fascinating—it was unbelievable.

Their worlds were modern. Ordinary. Completely devoid of supernatural systems.

And yet—

This Shadow Clone Technique completely shattered their understanding of reality.

More importantly—

Ryujin had taught it.

Which meant—

He was far stronger than the girl in the video.

A true expert.

After a brief pause, Ryujin replied,

"If you want to learn ninjutsu, the first requirement is chakra."

"Chakra?" Linglong tilted her head. "What's that?"

Ryujin explained patiently,

"Chakra is the energy source required to perform ninjutsu. Simply put—it's the fuel behind all techniques."

"In a ninja's body, physical energy and spiritual energy combine and resonate, forming what we call chakra. The efficiency of this conversion directly affects a person's strength."

He continued, laying it out clearly.

"Ninja combat techniques are generally divided into ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Taijutsu consumes physical stamina, but ninjutsu and genjutsu require chakra."

"Even training with the Shadow Clone Technique consumes chakra."

Then came the deeper explanation.

"Chakra is extracted from the body's cells—trillions of them—drawing both physical energy and refined spiritual energy through training and experience."

"Because of this, ninjas tend to eat a lot. The more energy you have, the more chakra you can extract."

A brief pause followed.

Then—

"…Wait."

Eriri's message popped up.

"If ninjas eat a lot… does that mean they all get fat?"

The entire chat froze for a moment.

That angle of concern—

Was unexpected.

Utaha was the first to recover.

"Fat? Honestly, you could stand to gain some weight. You're practically underdeveloped, and—if I recall correctly—completely flat."

"SHUT UP!!"

Eriri exploded instantly.

"Those are just… just lumps of fat anyway! I don't want them!"

Linglong quietly watched the chaos unfold.

"…."

Ryujin sighed lightly before typing,

"You won't gain weight. The energy from food is converted into chakra, so excess intake doesn't accumulate as fat."

After sending the message, he paused for a moment.

Then, almost unconsciously, a thought crossed his mind.

Eriri…

Yes, she really was flat.

Meanwhile—

Utaha…

Tall, elegant, long legs, striking figure.

And Linglong…

That innocent, airheaded type.

Strangely enough—

Characters like that often had… surprising proportions.

"…."

Ryujin shook the thought away.

At that moment, Asuna asked another question.

"Then how do we extract chakra from our bodies?"

Ryujin replied,

"There are specific training methods. I'll check if it's possible to upload them."

He added one more detail,

"However, chakra extraction is easier at a younger age. The older you are, the harder it becomes, and the slower the progress."

The response—

Came instantly.

"I'm still young!" — Asuna

"I'm still young!" — Eriri

"I'm still young!" — Utaha

"I'm still young!" — Linglong

"…."

Ryujin stared at the screen.

Four identical messages.

Sent at the exact same moment.

Clearly—

They weren't copying each other.

They had all typed it simultaneously.

Some things…

Were universal across all worlds.

No matter the dimension—

No woman would ever admit she wasn't young.
