A small group of people stood in front of a run down building. At the forefront of the group was a young 17 year old boy. The boy had a blazing purple hair that flowed freely in the wind all around his head, his eyes, the same shade of purple as his hair looked at the entrance to the mansion without betraying his thoughts or emotions.
Without saying a word he moved forward and opened the doors wide for everyone else to enter. The building was quite large but modest, containing only a large room with two stairs on either side leading up to a balcony that lay right in front of five upstairs rooms. Two of the upstairs rooms, the leftmost and rightmost rooms were bathrooms. Below the balcony were three doors that lead to three different very large empty rooms under the balcony. The one to the left was a large empty bathroom segmented in two, one side with showers lining the wall and the other, toilet cubicles. The one to the right was a large storage room complete with empty shelves, large empty crates and a large empty cellar below the room accessible only by a hidden staircase. And the one in the center, was a large actually empty room that could fit about 100 people comfortably inside.
The boy walked up the stairs with his second in command who was the same age as him. They looked like polar opposites, the boy was lean and calm, wearing a white suit and white trousers along with white shoes and a large white overcoat. His second in command on the other hand, a young boy blessed with natural red hair and blazing red eyes, was muscular and large with a sort of manic look in his eyes. He wore the exact same attire as the leader but his came in all black.
They both stood on the balcony with the second in command standing slightly behind the leader as they looked at their small gang of 50 members dressed in weird mishmash of clothes. All 50 members looked back up at their leader as he began to speak.
"We've finally done it guys, after 6 months of savings and preparation we've finally managed to get ourselves a Headquarters. It's not much to look at right now but we're bound to make it great in the future. For now, you guys should get some rest, we'll begin our operations tomorrow morning." The leader said.
As soon as he was done talking, he walked into the room at the center of the five with his second in command following soon after him while the rest of the people dispersed to tidy up the place and figure out the arrangements.
In his room, the leader and his second in command sat on two chairs as they discussed current and future plans.
"You know, I never thought we'd actually get this far, The strategist and The scavenger king. I guess miracles still do exist." The second in command said.
"Yeah, I still remember the first time we met like it was yesterday, I promised you great things if you and your people joined forces with mine, today marks our first step to greatness." The leader said.
"You know sometimes I wonder, would any of this have been possible if I'd never met you?" The second in command asked.
"Woah buddy, I think it's too soon for that." The leader said.
"No but seriously, thank you for everything you've done for me." The second in command said sincerely as he looked at the leader.
"Right now, I think we should focus on our next move, you can thank me later when we're in control of this whole city." The leader said with a smile.
"I'll hold you up on that." The second in command replied as they begun to discuss strategy.
The day went by fairly quickly. The members had cleaned up the mansion nicely as there was barely any dirt left within. Early the next morning, the members gathered under the balcony to receive their tasks.
"First off, I would like to thank the scavenging division for being the backbone of our group, I appreciate all your hard work and I know how dangerous your jobs are so I encourage to do your best. Nothing is going to change for the scavengers. You guys will continue on as you've been doing so far, but I will make sure to reduce the pressure on your shoulders. As of today, am going to increase our revenue sources, with more ways of making money, you won't have to risk your lives as often." The leader said.
After the assembly ended, the second in command, known on the outside as The Scavenger King went with the scavengers of the group, a good 30 of the 50 members, to scavenge for rare and unique items on the outside to sell for money. The leader didn't know the intricacies of such a role as he was more of a commander and had never actually scavanged before.
Left with the remaining 20 members of the team, the leader, nicknamed The Strategist, went out of the mansion with his remaining men. Their destination wasn't far from their HQ, a small, makeshift greenhouse that produced a large amount of food to sell to the city.
Walking up to the entrance of the complex, The strategist knocked on the main gate a few times and waited. An ald lady walked out of the complex after a few minutes to greet them.
"Good morning Faze, how may I be of help to you." The woman asked.
Faze, a little taken aback that the woman knew his name, was at a loss for words and just looked at her for a while.
"Surprised, I may be old but am still quite attentive, you were quite the troublemaker before all this begun, then when you found the opportunity, you rose to the challenge and made a name for yourself behind that ridiculous nickname of yours, you're a local celebrate." The old woman begun to rant for a good few minutes.
"Ma'am, I came here to make you an offer, I am willing to offer your greenhouse complex here protection from the local thugs and in exchange, I like a little payment for the troubles of my people." Faze made his pitch.
He had already prepared a speech detailing all the pros and cons of such a deal to the lady.
"Ha, young people these days."
