Jay POV:
It's been a year since that accident... I still remember everything.
Now our Kaith and Jace have grown up. They are 15 and very handsome. Of course, they look like Keifer...
Kaith still loves and cares for Yumi the same way he did before.
And Jace still loves and cares for Ellina the same way he did before.
Yumi and Jace still fight over small things, and Kaith and Ellina handle them.
Everything is fine now. Keifer and I run the company together, and we always go on a date every Saturday night.
Even though we are getting older, his romance and love for me have never grown old. It has only grown stronger.
I closed my eyes and remembered the small red face.
I quickly opened my eyes, breathing heavily.
"Jay, are you okay? Did you see her again?" Keifer said and handed me a glass of water.
I nodded and drank the water.
He pulled me toward him and wrapped his arms around me.
**Flashback ****
I didn't feel good these days.
I was vomiting regularly, and I also felt very dizzy.
One day, I was doing my work on my laptop when I suddenly felt like vomiting again.
I ran toward the basin and started throwing up.
"Jay, baby," Keifer said and ran toward me. He rubbed my back.
"Jay, I think we should call a doctor," Keifer said and made me sit down on the couch.
He dialed the doctor's number, and soon our family doctor arrived.
"I think we need to take some tests," the doctor said.
I nodded.
Keifer left the room, and the doctor did some tests.
"Okay, call your husband," the doctor said.
I called Keifer, and he entered the room.
We waited for a few minutes. Then the doctor read the report and smiled.
"Congratulations! You are pregnant," the doctor said.
I covered my mouth in shock.
"What?" I said.
She smiled and nodded.
"Jay!" Keifer said in shock and then hugged me.
I hugged him back tightly.
"But I would suggest that you go to the hospital tomorrow for a checkup," the doctor said.
We nodded, and she left.
"I wonder how Kaith and Jace will react," I said, giggling.
Soon, our bedroom door burst open, and they both walked in.
"Mamaaaa!" Jace shouted and ran toward me.
They both climbed onto the bed. Kaith hugged Keifer, and Jace hugged me.
"What happened, Mama? Why are you looking so happy?" Kaith asked.
I looked at Keifer, and Keifer looked at me.
"We have an announcement," I said.
They both nodded and looked at us.
"You both are going to become big brothers... There is a baby in my tummy," I said.
They both froze for a moment.
Then they looked at each other, then at me and my tummy.
"Are you serious?" Kaith asked.
Keifer nodded.
"Mamaaaa!" they both shouted and hugged me tightly.
"Yehhhhh!" they both cheered.
I laughed, and our day passed like this.
The next day, we went to the hospital for a checkup.
"Hmm... everything is fine, but you should be more careful. As you have already given birth to twins before, and you are also very thin, you have to be careful," the doctor said and gave us some instructions.
We nodded and left.
Later, we invited Ella and Yuri with their baby girls.
"Hiiii, Titooo!" Yumi and Ellina shouted and ran into Keifer's arms.
Keifer chuckled and hugged them.
"We have a gift for you both," I said to Yuri and Ella.
They both looked at us in confusion and sat on the couch.
I brought them two T-shirts with writing on them:
"Soon-to-be uncle and aunt again."
They both looked at the T-shirts, then at me and Keifer.
I held my stomach and nodded.
"Oh my God!" Ella gasped and quickly hugged me tightly.
"Congratulations!" she shouted and hugged me again.
Yuri also congratulated Keifer and me.
"Yehhh! We are becoming sisters!" Yumi and Ellina shouted and cheered.
We all chuckled and enjoyed the night with our friends.
I even called my family and told them the news.
Months passed, and when I was six months pregnant, I found out that I was pregnant with a baby girl.
Keifer and I became so happy that we were going to have a baby girl.
Kaith and Jace became more protective and excited to meet their sister.
They even bought so many dolls and everything for her.
They said they would become the best and coolest brothers.
But they didn't know that the happiness wouldn't last long.
When I was in my last month of pregnancy, I went into labor.
I shouted because it was fucking painful.
"Jayyy, calm down. You can do it," Keifer said and wiped my tears.
I tried harder. I tried everything, and finally—
"Congratulations, it's a girl," the doctor said and handed me the baby.
I smiled and took her.
But then—
"Doctor, she isn't crying," the nurse said.
They took the baby from me and started checking her.
I looked at Keifer, and Keifer looked at me.
We both prayed to God for our baby girl.
"We have to take her to a different room," the doctor said and took her to another room.
The nurse helped me sit in a wheelchair, and we came out of the room.
"How's the baby?" Kaith and Jace asked us with bright smiles.
"They took her to a different room. She wasn't crying," I said.
Ella and Yuri looked at each other and nodded.
We all stayed outside the room, waiting for the doctor.
Soon, the doctor opened the door.
"How is my daughter? Can I see her now?" Keifer asked as the doctor came out.
"I'm sorry... We weren't able to save her," the doctor said and patted Keifer's shoulder.
I just sat there frozen, unable to understand what the doctor had said.
"Keifer, what are they saying?" I asked.
Then a nurse came and took us to a room.
I looked at the bed, and there was my baby girl lying there.
"Keiferrrr!" I shouted and burst into tears.
That day, I screamed, shouted, and blamed God for this, but I couldn't bring my daughter back to life.
Keifer didn't say anything, but he broke down completely. He sat there for hours, staring at our dead baby girl.
Kaith and Jace were standing at the door, their eyes red. Seeing their parents like this broke them too.
They were just six years old at that time, but they were so mature.
After that day, they didn't talk about this. They didn't.
They just hugged me, consoled me, cracked jokes, and did things that made me scold them.
They helped Keifer and me heal.
Yumi and Ellina also came home every day for us. They hugged us and spent time with us.
They wiped Keifer's tears and kissed his cheeks.
"We are your daughters," they always said to Keifer.
God snatched one daughter from us, but we still had two more.
Then I started taking therapy sessions to come out of this pain.
**Present day ****
"Jay, your medicine," Keifer said.
I nodded and took the medicine.
"Now sleep. Everything is fine now," he said.
I nodded and hugged him tightly.
Soon, we both fell asleep again.
