Jay POV:
"Mom?" I whispered.
Keifer held my hand and squeezed it.
"Everything is going to be okay, love," he said.
I nodded, and Mom walked in.
"Oh, Jay," she said and was about to hug me, but I stepped back.
"Please sit," Keifer said.
She sat down.
"Jay, I'm really sorry, baby... I'm sorry," she said.
"Why?" I asked.

Life has been peaceful.

I opened the message.
