Chapter 4 - the silent night of Chattogram

---

đź“– Chapter 31: Turning Point

Nahian stood in the middle of the destroyed battlefield. Dust was still falling from the broken sky. His white-blue energy was unstable but stronger than before. Subject-01 observed him carefully, as if analyzing every small movement.

"Emotion is rising again," Subject-01 said calmly.

Nahian clenched his fists. "This time… I control it."

He moved instantly.

đź’Ą A strike landed on a nearby Subject, sending it crashing into debris.

Another followed immediately.

đź’Ąđź’Ą

But this time his movements were different. Not chaotic. Not wild. Each step was controlled. Each attack was precise.

Subject-01 narrowed its eyes slightly. "Improvement detected."

Nahian didn't respond. His focus was entirely on survival and finishing the fight. The battlefield around him was still full of enemies, but he was no longer panicking.

He moved again, faster.

---

đź“– Chapter 32: Final Push Begins

The remaining Subjects regrouped in a coordinated formation. Their movements were synchronized, almost like a system rather than individuals.

Nahian stood in the center.

"I'm ending this phase."

Subject-01 replied calmly, "You still don't understand what a phase means."

Nahian ignored him completely.

đź’Ą He charged forward.

The ground cracked beneath his feet as he rushed into the formation. Two Subjects were destroyed instantly by a single movement.

But the rest reacted quickly.

đź’Ą A counterattack pushed him back slightly.

Nahian slid on the ground but regained balance instantly.

"They're adapting…"

Subject-01 nodded. "Of course they are."

Nahian tightened his stance.

"I will adapt faster."

---

đź“– Chapter 33: Coordinated Attack

The Subjects changed tactics. Now they were no longer attacking randomly. They surrounded him in perfect timing patterns.

Nahian dodged one attack, but another hit him from the side.

đź’Ą Impact sent him rolling across the ground.

He stopped himself using one hand and stood up immediately.

"…They're learning faster."

Subject-01 replied, "That's the difference between instinct and design."

Nahian wiped dust from his face.

"I don't care how they were made."

He rushed again.

---

đź“– Chapter 34: Collapse of Defense

The attacks increased in speed and strength. Nahian's defense started breaking down slowly.

đź’Ą One hit landed on his shoulder.

đź’Ą Another struck his back.

He blocked what he could, but the pressure was too high.

His breathing became heavier.

"This… is getting worse…"

He tried to push forward but was forced back again.

Subject-01 watched silently, not interfering.

Nahian gritted his teeth.

"I can't stop here…"

---

đź“– Chapter 35: Edge of Defeat

Nahian dropped to one knee. His energy flickered weakly. The white-blue glow around him became unstable again.

"…I can't lose here…"

He looked around.

The city was burning. Smoke covered the sky. Screams echoed in the distance.

Something inside him tightened.

Not fear.

Responsibility.

He slowly stood again.

"I'm still here."

---

đź“– Chapter 36: Memory Trigger

Suddenly—

A sharp vision hit him.

A laboratory.

Bright white lights.

A metal table.

Voices repeating: "Subject-07 is stable."

Nahian gasped and grabbed his head.

"What… is this…?"

The memory felt real. Not imagination.

Pain. Experiments. Shattered glass. Emergency alarms.

His hands trembled.

"No… I didn't…"

But the memories didn't stop.

---

đź“– Chapter 37: Awakening Core

Something deep inside him activated.

Not external energy.

Something internal.

The white-blue aura around him stabilized suddenly.

His breathing slowed.

His mind cleared.

Nahian stood slowly.

"…This feels different."

Subject-01 observed closely.

"You accessed a deeper layer."

Nahian didn't respond immediately.

He felt it.

Control.

True control.

---

đź“– Chapter 38: Silent Power

The battlefield changed atmosphere.

No more chaotic explosions.

Just silence and pressure.

Nahian moved forward slowly.

Each step was stable. Balanced.

Each movement was efficient.

He attacked.

đź’Ą One clean hit destroyed a Subject instantly.

Subject-01 stepped back slightly.

"…Good."

Nahian replied calmly.

"I understand now."

---

đź“– Chapter 39: Fear Shift

The remaining Subjects hesitated for the first time. They sensed something different.

Not chaos.

Not instability.

But control.

Nahian looked at them.

"I'm done running."

They attacked again.

But this time, Nahian moved through them smoothly, reading every attack before it happened.

---

đź“– Chapter 40: True Form

Nahian's movement became almost invisible. He struck, dodged, countered with perfect timing.

đź’Ąđź’Ąđź’Ą

One by one, Subjects fell.

No wasted movement.

No hesitation.

Subject-01 observed carefully.

"This is closer to your real capability."

Nahian replied without looking back.

"Then I'm just getting started."

đź“– Chapter 41: The Hidden Signal

The night in Chattogram felt unusually silent, as if the entire city was holding its breath. Nahian stood on the rooftop of an old building, his eyes fixed on the distant city lights. Ever since the last battle, something had changed inside him. The power he once struggled to control now responded more smoothly—but it also felt deeper, heavier, like it was hiding secrets he still didn't understand.

A small device in his hand flickered again.

"Beep… beep… static signal detected."

Nahian narrowed his eyes. "It's back…"

The same unknown frequency he had first detected weeks ago had returned. But this time, it was stronger. More stable. Almost like someone wanted him to find it.

Behind him, a voice broke the silence.

"You shouldn't be standing here alone."

Nahian turned quickly. It was Mira, his only ally who truly understood what he was going through. She walked closer, her expression serious.

"This signal isn't random," Mira said. "It's targeted. It's calling you specifically."

Nahian looked at the device again. "But why me?"

Before she could answer, the device suddenly projected a faint holographic map in the air. A location appeared—an abandoned industrial zone outside the city.

Then a symbol flashed.

Subject-01.

Nahian's grip tightened. "So they're alive… or at least connected to this."

Mira stepped back slightly. "If you go there, you might be walking into a trap."

"I already stepped into their trap the moment I got this power," Nahian replied quietly.

A strong wind swept across the rooftop, and for a moment, the signal distorted. Then a new message appeared on the device:

"AWAKENING PHASE: 41% COMPLETE"

Nahian froze.

"This isn't just communication," he said. "It's a system… evolving."

Mira frowned. "Evolving into what?"

Nahian didn't answer immediately. His mind was racing, connecting fragments of past battles, hidden experiments, and the strange emotional surge he felt whenever his power activated.

Finally, he said, "Into something I might not be able to control."

A long silence followed.

Far away, in the direction of the marked location, a faint red light blinked once… then disappeared.

Mira placed a hand on the railing. "Then we prepare. Because whatever is waiting there… it's not waiting just for you. It's waiting for all of us."

Nahian nodded slowly.

For the first time, he didn't feel like he was being hunted.

He felt like he was being guided toward something far bigger than himself.

And he wasn't sure if that truth was more dangerous than any enemy he had faced before.
