Ficool

Chapter 65 - Open

A fang and a beak.

As he approached the door, there he found the two small crevices that was shaped like the two items that were glowing inside his Inventory.

Opening his bag, he took the two items and walked forward to the place where it belongs.

In the past few days, he was busy thinking about the key that he needed to open the door.

When he went there for the first time, the fang lit up, but, seeing the second crevice, he decided to find the other key.

And luckily, he found it.

Zypher then put the two items inside the crevices.

As he put them down, the items stopped glowing.

Seeing this, he readied himself for something.

Squaring up, he decided to back away a few steps, because the door may swing widely, and fling him far away.

Yet, after a few seconds, nothing happened.

No sound, no anything.

Just the items, sitting there silently.

After a few more moments of silence, Zypher shrugged and turned around.

Well, he already got something to take, but it's too bad that he wasn't able to get an additional perk.

As he walked out, he saw that the entrance to the cave suddenly has low visibility.

The light that passes through normally earlier, now is being blocked by something he can't see, but it sure is there.

Curiosity got ahold of him, going towards the invisible wall.

Step by step, he kept on looking at the cave entrance, the door with the keys behind him.

[Warning. Master, Threat Detected.]

As his feet approached the thin layer, his eyes widened in surprise.

Thick dust now covers the mouth of the cave, blocking the passage of light, as it scatters the rays passing through it

But, where did all these dusts came from?

As he pondered over it, a trembling happened.

{That's not good.}

He heard Sander said in his mind.

Dust, which were not too visible earlier, now were falling down the ceiling of the cave.

The grinding of stone and metal echoed through it, as if something is being dragged across the floor.

The dusts filled his lungs, so he took his Newbie clothes and used it as a mask to block it.

The sand then began to fill up the entrance of the cave, until the sealed gate.

These dust, dirt and sand began to fill up every space in between.

Seeing this, Zypher decided to run towards the door, but it became a trap for him as another erosion happened right above the gate.

This,in turn, trapped the opening gate to where it is now, only living a small space, not enough for a person to enter.

"Jeez. Is this reward worth the hassle?"

{Master, please keep your focus forward.}

Sander woke him up, making him see the danger he is in now.

He ran towards the door opening, yet, the flow of the sand and dirt kept him out.

As he tried to swim his way into the flowing sand and pebbles, it washed him out a few times back to where he started.

[Backflow. Warning! Master will lose air within 4 minutes.]

He attempted again and again.

On his fifth attempt, he noticed something else.

The door, giving out from the pressure, being filled with soil and sand, is starting to close.

He then looked at the crevices where he put the fang, was now empty.

The said fang is being buried down in the sand.

{The fang!}

"Hassle."

He propped up as he pulled himself up.

He now has one chance to do this.

The sand, still flowing, buries him down, but he used his body to go up.

His chest, being crushed, and the crunch in his mouth as he bit small dust every time it goes over his head.

As the sand started to fill it up, his breathing become ragged, as the air pockets started to thin out.

With no other choice, he desperately pulled out his sword, and shouted.

"Transcend!"

His mind turned quiet, his body slowed down.

But, all the things surrounding him stopped.

[10 Minutes left to Transcend. Move now.]

Without further ado, Zypher ran towards the door.

Time passed by, but it is too slow for him to notice, but that's all.

He passed through the closing door.

And before he went out, he also knocked off the beak of the Griffon.

As he did that, the door suddenly shut off, sending him inside the room.

[Welcome to Labyrinth 2694.]

As Zypher saw the notification, the surrounding became dimly lit to him.

Tiny rays of light were illuminating the place.

And what he saw was something he didn't know about.

Before him is a massive spiral stair, and there are three other doors like this one.

The other three are open, while his is the only one closed.

But, all of those stairs from those doors were either cut off, or destroyed.

[Welcome, Challenger!]

[Dungeon: Laboratory 2694 Quest Accepted.]

- Reach the bottom.

Reward: None.

Zypher smirked at the familiar, yet unfamiliar word.

It has been a few months only, but he is already challenged to the point that he is racking his brains, just to make way for the things he want.

And now, another challenge is presented to him.

With Transcend, he can do it.

10 minutes is the time needed.

10 minutes is the time of his Transcend.

A perfect fit.

Yet, beautiful things don't exist in this place.

Isn't the gane too lenient towards him, who has a buff of ten minutes, have a quest that can only be done inside ten minutes?

Low growls resounded through the dungeon.

And there, little lights started to appear one by one.

Blue, red, green, orange and other colors.

They come in pair.

And almost crystal like.

"Appraise!"

His skill on his past life account.

A skill that determines what he sees.

[Experiment 1]

He laughed at those words.

These were things he already saw.

And the thing the notification gave him.

[Penalty: Death.]
