Inside the faculty conference room at U.A. High School.
A heavy silence fell over the assembled staff when All Might proposed adding an extra candidate to next week's specialized recommendation exam.
"Can you explain your reasoning? Even with your recommendation, the number of special admission slots is strictly limited and incredibly prestigious. We can't simply expand the roster without a compelling cause."
The speaker was Vlad King, a burly, muscular man whose Quirk was Blood Control.
All Might scratched his cheek, racking his brain for a long time before finally squeezing out an answer. "Well... because he is exceptionally strong. I believe he possesses the raw potential to become a top-tier Hero."
Midnight, the R-Rated Hero dressed in her usual provocative attire, let out a yawn. "In that case, let him apply to U.A. through the standard entrance exam like everyone else. Why bypass the legal channels? Why insist on a special recommendation?"
All Might looked increasingly embarrassed. "That is... well, the thing is..."
Principal Nezu, the small, high-IQ creature who resembled a white mouse, stepped in to clarify. "He is currently a student at Orudera Junior High. Last week, he used his Quirk to attack a classmate, resulting in extremely severe consequences." Nezu paused, his dark eyes glinting with gathered intel. "Strictly speaking, his disciplinary record makes it questionable if he's even eligible to sit for a standard exam."
Clearly, Nezu had already thoroughly investigated Wu Xuan's background.
Upon hearing that Wu Xuan had resorted to Quirk-based violence on a personal whim, a stir of disapproval went through the room.
The Ectoplasm clone spoke in a deep, gravelly tone. "Is this wise? Recruiting a student with a history of assault and delinquency into U.A. could be a disaster."
Present Mic chuckled, leaning back. "Oh, come on! I think it sounds interesting. If his strength actually earned a nod from All Might, he must be something else. What do you think, Eraser Head?" He nudged Shota Aizawa, who sat beside him looking half-asleep.
A cold, sharp glint flashed in Aizawa's weary eyes. "I don't care. But let me be clear: if he ends up in my class and shows no potential, I will expel him without a second thought."
Aizawa wasn't joking; he had once famously expelled an entire grade of students in a single day. All Might blinked, remembering that Wu Xuan didn't seem particularly bothered by the threat of expulsion.
Principal Nezu tapped his paws together. "Very well, let's put it to a vote. I support All Might's motion; I believe in giving talented children a chance to be guided. What say the rest of you?"
As the votes were cast, Aizawa Shota abstained while the others voiced their stances. Ultimately, the 'ayes' won by a margin of two votes. It was decided: Wu Xuan would be given his chance.
"It's settled, then," Principal Nezu concluded. "All Might, inform the boy that he is to report for the recommendation exam next Saturday."
"No problem!" All Might beamed, pulling out his phone to dial Wu Xuan's number.
The line rang for a while, leading the teachers to think it would go to voicemail, until a sudden click signaled a connection.
"Hello?" Wu Xuan's voice sounded somewhat impatient over the receiver. All Might quickly switched to speakerphone so the rest of the faculty could hear.
"Moshi moshi! Young Wu Xuan! I have excellent news. You've been cleared—"
"Oh, All Might?" Wu Xuan interrupted. "You're calling, so I assume I'm in? When is the exam?"
All Might felt a sudden surge of stress so sharp he nearly coughed up blood. He suppressed the urge and forced a steady tone. "Next Saturday. Come to U.A. for the special admissions exam. Don't you dare forget it."
"Got it. Thanks..."
Beep.
Before Wu Xuan could even finish his sentence, the line went dead.
All Might flashed a wide, nervous grin, covering the back of his head as he chuckled awkwardly. "Ah ha... ahahaha! What an... energetic young man! Well, everyone, I'll be taking my leave now!"
He practically sprinted out of the conference room.
A stunned hush lingered in the room. After a long moment, Midnight, who had voted in favor, looked around with a conflicted expression. "Um... is it too late to take my vote back?"
"You have to live with the consequences of your own choices," Aizawa remarked dryly. Even so, a seed of doubt had been planted in his mind. Was All Might's recommendation actually a good idea?
"There are plenty of Heroes with messy private lives," Principal Nezu noted, taking a calm sip of his coffee. "As long as they don't cross into criminality, it's manageable."
Meanwhile, in a high-end hotel room.
Wu Xuan was lounging comfortably, flanked by two girls who couldn't have been more than sixteen. Their faces were flushed, and their skin was as fair as snow.
One of the girls, her face a deep shade of pink, asked softly, "Xuan-kun, I heard you mention the name 'All Might' on the phone. Do you actually know him?"
Wu Xuan chuckled. "I suppose you could say that."
Hearing this, the girl on the other side of the bed traded her blush for pure excitement. "Really? Then, can you get me All Might's autograph? I've wanted one forever!"
"Well... if you agree to a little condition of mine, I'll consider it."
"What kind of condition?" they asked in unison.
Wu Xuan leaned in and whispered softly.
The two girls let out a shy, playful protest, but two minutes later, they lowered their heads and pressed closer to him.
