After another few days, Nero finally got to a point where he believed that his next attempt at beating Akiza would succeed
Knocking on the door to Aurathia's room before he went to sleep he called through the door
"Would you mind updating my status?" Nero asked Aurathia "I'm pretty confident I can win, but a little extra help wouldn't hurt, and if I succeed it will give me an idea of what my final level 1 stats will be"
"Preparation is always key, it's essentially what training is so let's get to updating your stats" Aurathia replied as she opened the door "go lie down on the bed with your shirt off"
Following her instructions Nero lay face down on the bed after removing his shirt with a chuckle "I think this is the first time since you first gave me your falna that you didn't throw me on the ground before updating them"
"I think you might be right" laughed Aurathia as she sat in his back "what can I say, putting you on the ground is the signal for the end of our morning sparring, so there's no point in wasting time letting you get back up only to have you lie back down" she smiled as she updated his status
After a few minutes Aurathia finally finished her work and passed Nero the parchment with his stats on it "you've built a good solid foundation for level 2" she commented "now go earn the right to get that level up"
Nero looked down at his stats, pleased with what he could see

"Just barely made it into the S rank with my strength" Nero mumbled as he made his way back to his room
A few hours later in his training zone Nero was panting hard, his eyes darting between Akiza who only had a few cards in her hand left and a single card left in her deck and the bloody rose dragon that was on her field, the strongest monster in her deck
"Your lasting well Nero" Akiza shouted "but seems like you're still coming up slightly short, you've not managed to beat my rose dragon and winning due to me running out of cards won't count as you passing my training" she said while ordering her dragon to attack
"So I've got to beat your dragon in order for this to count huh" Nero stated as he avoided the storm of flames and roses that came out of the dragons mouth "then it's all or nothing then" he declared as he activated his ice king mode, using the tessen that the training zone had created for him as the handles for a pair of short curved blades as he secretly placed a card into his gauntlet
"You've got one last turn" Akiza informed Nero as she drew her last card and smiled "I activate basal rose shoot to bring my black rose dragon back from the grave and then activate my face down card, assault mode activate in order to change my black rose dragon into black rose dragon assault mode"
With her play another dragon appeared next to her and then was instantly equipped with a set of armour
"Now, you struggled to deal with one dragon, how will you deal with 2" Akiza smiled "seems like you'll have to try again if you want to beat me, now my dragons attack" she declared, thrusting her arm forward
As the dragons attacked Nero created a wall of ice in front of him due to the range of the attack being to big for him to dodge on either side, the wall holding out only for a second before it gave way
As the dust settled Akiza was able to see the shadow of a figure fall down to his knees in the smoke "looks like it's over" she declared confidently
"It sure is" a voice came from behind her as she felt a cold blade pressed against her neck
"How?" Akiza blurted out in surprise as she turned around to see Nero standing behind her
"A trick I learned when fighting the crystal dragon" Nero answered with a confident smile "multiply works really well with my ninja techniques and my ability to fly, if my opponent loses sigh of me I can create a clone and make them focus there attention on them, and then most people either don't know I can fly or assume that they get me and when they see my clone they immediately let their guard down, giving me the perfect opportunity to strike, I'm just glad it worked and your dragons didn't detect me otherwise I really would have lost" letting go of the breath that he had been holding
"Well then I can only say congradulations, you beat me" Akiza declared, causing the training zone to call out
"Training completed, Akiza now summonable, benefits given, 1 battle suit based on bloody kiss biker suit, 1 bloody kiss duel runner summonable by Akiza at her location, 1 daily card pack" it declared
"That's quite a few benefits" Nero whistled, impressed by the amount of things the training zone had supplied Akiza with "Well then, I'll see you tomorrow in the real world" Nero smiled as the zone began to dissipate around him
"I look forward to it" Akiza smiled as the zone disappeared
The next morning everyone gathered round, first to meet Akiza, and then to see Nero get levelled up
"It is nice to meet all of you" Akiza smiled as she materialised in the world
"It is nice to meet you too" bowed Yumi
"It is a pleasure to meet you" Rias bowed as well "I have been a fan of duel monsters for a while but never had anyone who was as interested in it as me, could we maybe duel one of these days" she smiled
"Of course" Akiza smiled in return "I would love to"
"Alright then, now it's time for the big moment, time for Nero to level up to level 2" Aurathia declared "you got another stat or two in each of your stats from last night but your stats are pretty much the same as yesterday, so time to update you and get you a developmental ability"
Updating his stats Nero felt nothing really change, but he knew that would be the case as nothing was really making him stronger, just increasing how many stats he could gain in the future
"Well then, somehow you've only got one developmental ability, but I think you'll be quite happy with what it is, I know I am" Aurathia grinned as she passed Nero his new stats sheet which had set everything back to zero except for his skills and magic, with a new developmental skill added
"Damn, this is perfect for me" Nero smiled as he read through the details of his new skill.
