Eirwen placed the memory-root cutting in a separate diplomatic cabinet with its treaty seals unbroken. The narrow case did not follow Didi toward the academy's northern records building.
"The cabinet receives the cutting without opening it, and the palace cannot fold Alder evidence into Crown custody." Eirwen said it for the vault record as much as for Didi.
