Hajin watched Yenna cross the last of the floor to the counter while he ran through the short list of reasons a Ranker would take an interest in him twice in one week.
He wanted no part of whatever guild politics she was carrying, so when she offered an opinion about his loot he turned back to the receptionist without answering it, since whatever she wanted would keep.
"I am keeping the core," he said, tapping the crystal until it slid back into his bag, "and while I am here, I owe you money."
"Property damage from a few days ago," he added before she could reach for the sale forms, "fifty silver for the cracked pillar."
The receptionist blinked at a man refusing a Legendary sale so he could settle a vandalism charge, then she recovered and pulled a second ledger out from under the counter.
"You broke a pillar," Juna said behind him, her ears coming forward with real interest, "and nobody told me about this."
