Chapter 56: Alas
Jerome's Point of View....
I never thought I would become a part of this battle. I can't believe that in an instant, so much information exploded in my mind.
"W-Why did it suddenly become quiet?"
Even I got nervous when I could no longer hear the explosions and gunfire. I had a bad feeling, but we had to wait.
Why are they taking so long?!
I looked around at my fellow students who, like me, were just waiting for the signal to attack. I smiled because they had awakened from being quiet.
"I have a bad feeling about this," I was surprised when Vanessa grabbed my collar again. "Who exactly are we waiting for?! Tell me if there is someone or not!" she said furiously.
This woman is really scary. I'm a goner with her, but what can I do? I love her.
I smiled before scratching the back of my neck. Letche! (Damn!) I've run out of reasons to say. Even I am getting impatient, but I don't want us to suddenly attack because we'll only ruin things.
"Hey!"
I blocked Vanessa with my two arms because she attempted to leave. Nakakainis naman oh! (How annoying!) I can't stop her because I might be the first one to die!
Why is this woman so impatient and hot-headed?
"Get out of my way or---" I turned pale when she cocked her gun and aimed it at my forehead again.
"I'll blow your empty brain out." she added.
Awts. (Ouch). Her words really hurt.
"You can't do i-" I went pale when I heard the gun cock and her point it at my forehead again.
Damn! She's really not kidding. I don't want to die yet, so I moved out of her way.
I scratched my head, but she had only taken a few steps away from us when she stopped.
I smirked when I saw them.
Finally, they are here.

Zein's Point of View.....
Yes, Supremo Ace and Raze Silvenia have the same aura and presence, but I just know Supremo so well. I never suspected Raze to be Ace because I feel differently about the two of them.
Even when Raze kissed me. I wasn't affected that much, but if it were Supremo kissing me, my knees would surely weaken and my chest would tighten; that's the effect he has on me.
"Surrender her..." he said with a smirk. "Or you both will die. That would be romantic, right?" he added teasingly.
"A new version of Romeo and Juliet? Oh, that would be nice."
Madame Violet winced at what Supremo said. I just smirked even though I was weak. I know Supremo is also like that, shot in the leg.
I suddenly remembered the nightmares that bother me. First, the people trying to take me in my dream. I realized that I am their target because I am the one who will complete the formula. It's funny that everything would fall on me.
Fear and anxiety quickly consumed me when my eyes landed on our intertwined hands, Supremo's and mine. It was me... I was the girl with him in my dream. That's why it had such an effect on me, because the two of us are in danger.
Madame Violet signaled her men to tie us up. We couldn't resist anymore because of the weakness we were feeling.
We are tied up, back to back, leaning against each other's backs. I can feel his breathing getting heavy-
It is deep and obviously labored.
"Z-Zein?"
I couldn't answer because I felt like I had no strength left. My arm continues to bleed. As time passes, it's losing sensation, as if it's going numb.
I looked up at the sky where the round moon can be seen. As the night deepens, everything becomes bloodier.
I suddenly thought of my friends. I know they are in good condition, so I'm not worried anyway. I also no longer hear explosions and gunshots.
"D-Do you regret it?"
I was brought back to reality by Supremo's question.
"If you hadn't entered this place... you wouldn't be in this situation. You wouldn't be experiencing this, If-"
"I wouldn't have met you..." He stopped at what I said. I bowed my head and just smiled. "No... I have no regrets." I answered.
Even though I can't see his face, I know he's smiling now.
"Y-You? Don't you regret meeting me?"
I laughed at my question because there are so many things to regret about our paths crossing, Supremo's and mine.
It's funny that in an instant, so many things happened, events that I never even imagined I would experience.
"I regret..."
I stopped at his answer even though I expected that might be his answer.
"I blame fate for only giving you to me now." I couldn't speak after hearing that from him. Yes, I somewhat expected this answer from him, but I still couldn't help but feel happy. "If only you were earlier... If only I had met you before." he added.
After that, silence enveloped us again. I scanned my eyes over Madame Violet's men guarding us.
There are so many of them; it seems like they haven't even decreased in number. They really prepared for this.
"A-About what Madame Violet said earlier... Is it true?" I swallowed. "A-Are you Raze?" I asked.
I felt his back move, so I know he's chuckling softly now.
"You? What do you think?"
I smiled before thinking one by one about the times I was with Raze and Ace.
"No. You are not Raze. You are Ace Craige. The Supreme Student Government President of this awesome School of Hell."
Laughter echoed from Supremo's mouth. The armed men are looking at us, but it doesn't matter to us.
I cannot be mistaken. Supremo is not the leader of the Devil God Warrior. Yes, they have so many similarities, and if you don't know them well, you would probably suspect they are the same person BUT I know him so well. I know Ace very well.
They are both demons, but I loved one of them, so I know they are different demons.
I can't prove this, but I know I'm right. I suddenly thought of their kiss and hug.
Could it be- Shit! I should have understood what he meant right away. Maybe Raze hugged and kissed me to enlighten me about what was happening.
Supremo's kiss is different from his... the feeling is so distant even though it seems like it's Supremo.
"Darling...".
My chest tightened when I heard that from his mouth. Unconsciously, I smiled. It felt different when those words came from Supremo's own mouth. Confirmed

"Are you done talking?"
Madame Violet was already standing in front of us, we hadn't even noticed her.
"Have you said goodbye to each other?"
We didn't move, and she laughed softly. What is she planning, and why did she tie us up here?
"Just a little wait and our ride will arrive... Francisco is also on his way with the helicopter that we will ride."
That's why I couldn't see Francisco, because he was busy with something else.
"If I were you... You should distance yourselves from us now." Supremo said.
Even if I couldn't see him, I knew he was smirking now. I could feel his dark aura which made me weak.
"Don't be impatient... She's almost here."
Madame Violet left again, but before she did, she tightened the guards on us, as if afraid of what Supremo had said.
"Hold on... Darling, I'll get you out of this place." He reassured me. "Don't let go... We will continue our love story outside of this hell." He added.
My chest tightened because I wasn't sure if I could still manage it. Half of my body had given up. I felt like any second I would be enveloped by endless darkness. Zein... Hold on. Everything doesn't end here yet.
"S-Supremo... What if—"
"Ssshhh... You are better than this. I know you, you are brave. You don't easily give up. That's what I admired most about you... that trait that made me fall for you." He said. I knew he was just trying to strengthen my spirit, which made me cry. Is that really how Supremo sees me?
"Zein, I can no longer fight for us alone... I want your cooperation. Can you do it? Please, just for me."
"Y-Yes." I answered unconsciously.
I don't know if I can commit to this, but I will try my best. I have fought against Death several times... maybe, even if I can't fight him now... I hope I can trick him. I don't want to disappear yet. I still want to be with this man.
As the night deepened, the fear inside me grew larger. Damn!
I looked at the man standing in front of us. He was looking at us sadly.
"L-Liam..."
"A-Are you guys okay?"
"Stupid question." Supremo answered rudely.
He smiled bitterly before pulling out a knife. He knelt in front of us along with his falling tears.
"Sorry... Forgive me." A smile flickered on his lips before he started cutting the rope tied around us. "K-Even just for now, I can do something right." He said bitterly.
I was crying for his situation but I couldn't say anything to calm him down.
It's a good thing the guards weren't noticing us. Fear consumed me when I heard a sound above. Damn! The helicopter is here!
After he untied us, Supremo quickly assisted me.
"T-Thank you..." I whispered to Liam who just smiled at me.
"G-Go... Get out of here! Before you get caught—"
"Liam!"
"Shit!"
Even if Supremo was limping, he managed to assist me. We couldn't move properly but we managed to get away from there. Before we got far, I looked back at Liam. I clearly saw Madame Violet pull the trigger of her gun and Liam fall to the ground.
Damn! She was truly consumed by her ambition and even managed to kill her own son.
Sorry... I am sorry, Liam.
"Ahh..."
"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly when I heard him groan.
He just smiled at me. I looked at his leg where blood was continuously flowing. Unlike mine which had stopped somewhat.
"I'm okay." He said when he noticed I was looking at his leg.
No, he's not okay.
We didn't stop running. We didn't know where our feet would take us but we needed to get away. I don't know if they followed us but I hope not because we don't have the strength to fight anymore.
I looked at Supremo when I heard him laugh. My forehead creased. "What's funny?" I asked.
"I'm just thrilled..."
I looked at our hands intertwined while his left arm was wrapped around my waist to assist me.
I don't know why, but I laughed too.
"You're really crazy..." I said laughing.
We stopped when we were blocked again by armed men. Madame Violet and Francisco were smirking at us.
"Are you really giving us a hard time?" Madame Violet said annoyingly. I felt extreme anger towards her when I remembered what she did to Liam. How could she do that to her own son?
We had no escape, which made me laugh. Supremo and I both burst into laughter. It was crazy but everything happening was funny.
"Capture them!"
"Meow."
I jumped in surprise when Hoy suddenly appeared in front of me. The people who tried to approach us also stopped, and the surprise was evident in the eyes of Madame Violet and Francisco as they looked behind us.
They froze in place as if they couldn't believe it. I could feel their knees trembling in fear.
I looked behind us. I didn't know what my reaction should be to what I was seeing. I understood nothing but I just felt tears fall from my eyes as I looked at them.
Raze Silvenia with a red mask was behind us. Beside him was Nazzer Lumia, and behind them were all the students of HU, Devil God Warriors, Black Blood Gangs, along with my friends. But what surprised me the most were the police... The special task force surrounded us. How?
I felt Supremo hold my hand again. He put his arm around my shoulder with a smirk on his face and assisted me to walk towards the middle of Raze and Nazzer, the two leaders of the gangs.
"Surprised?" Supremo said smirking.
I am completely lost. What the hell is really happening?
"I am not named Ace without one."
Is this the ace he was referring to?
