Dao Mingke didn't respond. With his back to Milady, he considered silently for a moment. Then he walked over to a box-like mechanism, opened the lid, and took out a pair of gloves.
Someone on the second deck whistled.
"That's harsh. Something bad won't actually happen, will it?" the crewman from before spoke up again. "Those aren't ordinary gloves. See that tube connected to the back of the box? Normally, that tube goes into the sea, and the mechanism uses water power to generate electricity, which then charges the Thunder Gloves... They must have charged them up beforehand."
"They're that powerful? Looks like Milady can't let him get close."
"She can't escape even from a distance," the self-appointed commentator of a crewman scoffed. "Is the sky far from you? When lightning strikes, does it care? At most, the accuracy just drops a little at a distance."
Milady turned a deaf ear to the chatter, her eyes glued to Dao Mingke. Anyone who saw her would think she was extremely tense.
