Chapter 3

🚗 In the Car

Drake's secretary couldn't help but ask,

"Sir, I still don't understand why you came all the way here. I could have handled this deal easily. You didn't need to travel for such a trivial matter."

Drake laughed.

" Haha, indeed you could have handled it. But my reason for coming here wasn't just to make the deal… it was to meet the owner of the company."

The secretary was surprised.

"Just to meet that young man?

Drake asked,

"Tell me, how long has this company existed?"

"Maybe… 10 to 20 years?" the secretary replied uncertainly.

Drake shook his head.

"Eighty years."

The secretary was shocked.

There weren't many companies with such a long history.

"As the chief, it's my duty to understand every influential business," Drake said. "Most long-standing companies hold great power or influence. But this one… doesn't. That's what intrigued me."

"So I investigated."

"And?"

"I concluded that this company is either backed by a powerful hidden organization… or it is a front for one."

"Why?"

Drake's eyes narrowed.

"Because everyone who has tried to destroy this company… died the very next day."

"Clean cuts to the neck. Like professional assassinations."

"Even recently, when a local gang caused trouble here… all of them died the same way the next day."

"That cannot be a coincidence."

🏢 Back at the Company

Ansh was resting on the sofa when Alina entered.

She looked to be in her 30s, wearing a tight suit that perfectly highlighted her curves.

"Boss, please have this drink."

"Thank you, Alina."

"You look quite stressed."

"Yeah… meeting someone like him isn't easy. One mistake could anger him and cause serious trouble."

She giggled softly.

"But you handled it quite well… how about I give you a massage?"

Without waiting for a reply, she walked behind him and began massaging his shoulders.

At first, Ansh relaxed.

But soon, her hands began to wander.

They slid across his chest… then slowly moved lower.

Her body leaned closer, her breasts brushing against him.

Feeling the sensation, his body reacted instantly.

His arousal didn't go unnoticed by Alina.

"Boss… I think you need more than just a massage~" she whispered near his ear.

Hearing this, Ansh grabbed her and kissed her deeply.

Alina didn't resist.

As they kissed, she skillfully began unbuttoning his clothes.

Ansh stood up, pushing her gently against the wall as their breathing grew heavier.

In his previous life, he had devoted everything to his business.

He barely had time to eat—let alone indulge in desires.

He had died as a virgin.

But not in this life.

He intended to enjoy it fully.

Since the age of 16, he had already been with several women.

With his wealth, looks, and athletic body, attracting women had never been difficult.

Even with Alina, it wasn't his first time.

Despite that, he had his own principles.

He never forced anyone or used his position.

Attraction went both ways—and he simply took the lead.

Soon, the room filled with moans and heavy breathing as both indulged themselves.

Thankfully, the room was soundproof.

👴 The Old Man Arrives

At that moment, another car arrived.

An old man stepped out.

Despite his white hair and beard, his posture was firm and powerful.

Employees quickly made way for him, some showing fear.

He entered the lift and pressed the 7th floor.

Moments later, he walked toward the guest room.

The receptionist hesitated.

"S-sir… the boss said not to disturb him."

"Is the young master still meeting the Chief of Saym Industry?"

"No… he already left. The boss is currently with Secretary Alina."

The old man snorted.

"A meeting, huh? I'd like to attend."

He knocked on the door.

"Young master, it's me."

After a moment—

"W-wait a moment!"

A few minutes later—

"Come in."

The old man entered.

Alina stood beside Ansh, her clothes slightly disheveled.

The old man's eyes twitched.

"Did you use protection?"

"Cough—What the hell?!" Ansh

Alina lowered her head in embarrassment.

"You know what I mean," the old man said calmly.

"Stop asking stupid questions!" Ansh snapped.

"Alina, go do what I told you."

She quickly left the room.

Ansh glared.

"How many times have I told you not to ask that?"

The old man replied calmly,

"It was your father's order. I must ensure you don't break the family rules."

"I KNOW!" Ansh shouted.

"I'm already sick of hearing those stupid rules!"

There were two main reasons why this family wasn't normal.

The first was a set of rules established by their great-grandfather.

There were five rules that every member of the Ashbound family had to follow:

First: As a bloodline holder of the Ashbound family, one is not allowed to have more than one descendant—but must have at least one.

Second: One is not allowed to reveal or display their true strength to anyone.

Third: Every descendant must wear the family pendant at all times. It cannot be removed and must be passed down to their successor when they turn eighteen. It must be protected at all costs.

Fourth: No one is allowed to sell the family mansion, and every descendant must live there.

Fifth: No one is allowed to tame, adopt, or keep any kind of animal.

When a child is born, most families teach them how to read and write.

But in this family, the first thing they are taught is these rules.

Ansh never understood why these rules even existed.

Most of them didn't make any sense to him.

For example, the fifth rule—what harm could possibly come from keeping a pet? What could a small, harmless cat even do?

And the third rule… why was it necessary to wear that pendant at all times?

The pendant looked like a ruby, carefully carved into a crystal-like shape. It had a deep red color, rich and mesmerizing.

However, Ansh had seen enough real rubies in his life to know one thing for certain—

This was not a ruby.

Whatever it was… it was something far more unusual.

At the very center of the crystal, there was always a faint glow—subtle, yet constant. It wasn't bright enough to draw attention immediately, but once noticed, it was impossible to ignore.

It felt… alive.

Its durability was even more shocking.

Ansh had tested it before, out of curiosity.

Despite its elegant and seemingly fragile appearance, it was anything but delicate. Even when he used his full strength, he couldn't leave the slightest scratch on its surface.

Not even a mark.

And this was something passed down from his great-grandfather.

Which meant it was incredibly old.

Yet, it looked as pristine as if it had just been crafted yesterday.

That alone made it abnormal.

But among all the rules, the most frustrating one for Ansh was the first.

Only one descendant.

What kind of ridiculous rule was that?

Who in their right mind would enforce such a restriction on their own bloodline?

Because of this rule, he had once been grounded for an entire month.

The reason?

His father had found out that he had been involved with girls at the age of sixteen.

If it were up to him, he would have ignored such a stupid rule entirely.

But he couldn't.

His great-grandfather had left behind a will—an unbreakable one.

If any descendant violated the rules, they would lose everything.

The company. The mansion. Every possession tied to the family.

They wouldn't even be allowed to keep something as small as underwear if it had been bought with the company's wealth.

And the worst part?

No one could change that will.

Which meant Ansh had no choice but to follow those rules—no matter how absurd they seemed.
