Chapter 184 - I Knew You Would Attempt This, So I Have Been Waiting For A Long Time

Chapter 184: I Knew You Would Attempt This, So I Have Been Waiting For A Long Time

It was supposed to be the thrilling climax of a midnight unboxing.

Standing beside the Captain's bed, the Olenyeva sisters exchanged a conspiratorial, mischievous glance. Moving with synchronized precision, they carefully pinched the left and right corners of the thick quilt. They had it all planned out: sneak in, secure their spots, and wait for the priceless, shocked expressions on March's face when she inevitably came to check on the room in the morning—or better yet, Rekka's reaction when he woke up.

With a synchronized tug, they pulled the heavy blankets back.

Instead of a peacefully sleeping Captain, the two sisters found themselves staring dead into two pairs of very awake eyes.

On the left side of the bed, a pair of glowing, blood-red eyes watched Rozaliya from the shadows. There wasn't a single trace of sleepiness in that crimson gaze; instead, it shimmered with a lazy, predatory playfulness. Long Night Moon—the crimson-eyed persona currently occupying March's body—raised a slender index finger and pressed it gently against her lips.

"I knew you would attempt this, so I have been waiting for a long time," she whispered, her voice dripping with amusement.

On the right side of the bed lay Stelle. Her messy gray hair was splayed wildly across the pillows, and she had unceremoniously wedged the majority of her body against Rekka's right side, even going so far as to drape one of her long legs heavily over his waist. Caught entirely red-handed in the middle of her own night raid, the Trailblazer didn't show a single ounce of embarrassment. Instead, she just raised a hand and pointed a finger at the twins.

The message flashing in Stelle's golden eyes was utterly brazen. She might as well have slapped a sticky note on her forehead that read: First come, first served.

This place is already full, her gaze screamed. Pretend you didn't see us. This has nothing to do with you.

Rozaliya's eye twitched. Yeah, right. How could such a ridiculous coincidence happen?

The reality of the situation was a comedy of errors. Late that night, Stelle had been struck by a stroke of chaotic genius: she would sneak into Rekka's bed just to see March 7th's reaction when the pink-haired girl came to open her daily "blind box" in the morning. So, she had stealthily infiltrated the room.

Meanwhile, March 7th had been struck by a sudden wave of anxiety, convinced that if she didn't sleep in Rekka's room tonight, she was going to lose her status as a competent future wife. She had even told Rekka in advance that she was coming over, hiding under the quilt to keep watch. Unfortunately for her, the Captain's bed was simply too comfortable, and the soft warmth had quickly lulled her into a deep sleep.

Hilariously, Stelle hadn't noticed the sleeping March on the left side of the mattress, and the unconscious March had no idea that the gray-haired raccoon had quietly claimed the right side.

And Rekka? He was dead to the world, sleeping soundly in the center, completely oblivious to the turf war brewing around him.

Rozaliya stiffly turned her head, her pink hair swaying as she looked at her sister. Liliya turned her head as well. Maintaining her usual deadpan, expressionless face, the blue-haired twin exchanged a rapid-fire, silent conversation with her sister through sheer eye contact.

What's the situation?

This bed has been claimed by someone else.

And they took two spots!

Rozaliya, we're a step too late.

Their gazes clashed and communicated at light speed. A second later, the twins tacitly broke eye contact and turned their attention back to the two uninvited guests occupying the mattress.

Under normal circumstances, Rozaliya would have already started shouting and throwing a tantrum. But right now, Rekka's steady, rhythmic breathing was right in front of them. More, her instincts were screaming at her. She could sense a genuinely dangerous aura radiating from the red-eyed Long Night Moon on the left. That was a terrifying entity who could probably crush someone into a neat little ball without breaking a sweat.

Making a loud scene was out of the question. But leaving? Absolutely unacceptable.

Why do you get to sleep here, but we can't? This is the Captain's bed! We're all here for a night raid, so who are you to act superior?

Taking a deep, steadying breath, Rozaliya let go of her corner of the quilt. Refusing to retreat a single inch, she boldly sat down on the edge of the mattress and reached out, aggressively poking the thigh of the bewildered Stelle.

"Scoot over and make some room for me," Rozaliya demanded in a fierce, barely audible whisper, pushing her unreasonable attitude to the absolute limit.

Stelle's eyes widened in sheer indignation.

"Why should I?" the Trailblazer hissed back, keeping her voice equally low. "I claimed this spot with my own raw ability. Who can you blame for being late to the party? Get out, get out."

"The Captain's bed is huge! What's the harm in two more people squeezing in?" Rozaliya retorted bluntly. Ignoring the protests, she forcefully leaned half of her body onto the mattress. "I'm sleeping in this bed today, and that's final!"

"You're cheating!" Stelle reached out, planting a hand firmly against Rozaliya's shoulder, using hidden strength to shove the pink-haired twin backward. "Besides, only two people can physically sleep next to him. The slots are full!"

"I don't care, I'm sleeping here."

The two stubborn girls instantly locked into a silent, brutal wrestling match. Shoulder to shoulder, they pushed and shoved against each other, neither willing to yield a single inch of mattress real estate.

On the other side of the bed, Liliya watched her sister and the gray-haired girl deadlock in their ridiculous turf war. The blue-haired twin just shook her head in helpless resignation. Instead of joining the chaotic fray on the right, she silently padded over to the left side of the bed.

Her calm, sleepy gaze met the glowing, blood-red eyes of Long Night Moon.

Long Night Moon maintained her "shh" posture, a playful, amused smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. She watched Liliya with genuine interest, curious to see what this notoriously deadpan little girl was planning to do.

Liliya looked at the red-eyed entity, then glanced down at the tiny, narrow gap of space between Long Night Moon and the edge of the bed.

Without a single ounce of hesitation, she decisively kicked off her little leather shoes.

Under Long Night Moon's watchful gaze, Liliya moved with extreme gentleness, yet her intent was completely resolute. She lifted the corner of the quilt on the left side and smoothly slid underneath the covers, wiggling into the narrow gap like a soft, boneless little kitten.

Her movements were quick, precise, and highly efficient. She adjusted her posture, obediently folded her hands over her stomach, and closed her eyes. Her peaceful expression clearly broadcasted a single message: I'm asleep. Do whatever you want.

The bed was certainly large, but Rekka had originally been sleeping dead in the center, and the two Trailblazers had already sprawled out to occupy the most comfortable areas on the left and right. Now that two half-grown Olenyeva twins had forcibly wedged themselves into the mix, the space instantly became suffocatingly cramped.

On the right side, Stelle and Rozaliya were still locked in their vicious, silent battle for territory.

With one of her legs firmly pinned down by Rozaliya's weight, Stelle frowned in deep dissatisfaction. Sneaking her foot backward, she ruthlessly kicked Rozaliya in the shin with her heel. Rozaliya didn't even flinch; instead, she deployed her hands and feet like an angry octopus, tightly wrapping her limbs around half of the quilt. She even extended her Honkai beast tail, attempting to physically sweep Stelle off the edge of the mattress.

"Hiss—don't tickle me with your tail!" Stelle warned in a hushed, furious whisper, reaching out to grab the wildly swinging appendage.

"If you didn't take up so much space, I wouldn't have to tickle you!" Rozaliya shot back, puffing out her cheeks in defiance.

The two exchanged rapid-fire punches and kicks beneath the heavy blankets, tossing and turning like two knotted, salted fish. Yet, despite their fierce struggle, they tacitly kept their movements confined to a very subtle range, terrified of waking the man sleeping peacefully in the very center of the warzone.

Meanwhile, on the left side of the bed, Long Night Moon and Liliya were getting along swimmingly.

"Scoot over, it's cold over there," Long Night Moon whispered, shifting slightly to offer more warmth.

"Thank you," Liliya murmured softly.

Nestled perfectly between the red-eyed girl and Rekka, the distinct advantages of Liliya's petite size were on full display.

This little blue tail clearly knows what she's doing, Long Night Moon thought, a genuine smile gracing her lips.

...

Far beyond the physical confines of the bedroom, deep within the Asdana system, the concentration of Memoria remained incredibly dense, despite the recent cosmic turmoil the region had experienced.

Because of this unique environment, Rekka was currently submerged in the Astral Express's shared dreamscape.

The concentration of Memoria inside the Astral Express differed vastly from the chaotic dreamscape of Penacony outside, allowing the interior of the train to manifest its own stable, independent dream environment.

Essentially, they were running a private server.

Inside this pristine dreamscape, a nightmare manifestation of Blade—who had been thoroughly hogtied by Rekka and Dan Heng—was currently flopping around on the floor of the parlor car like a fish out of water. The sight was incredibly abstract and undeniably hilarious.

This wasn't the real Stellaron Hunter, of course; it was merely a manifestation of Dan Heng's lingering nightmares, stripped of all its usual menace.

"Strange..." Rekka muttered, rubbing his chin as he stared at the flopping swordsman. "Why do I feel burning hot on my right side, and freezing cold on my left?"

"I don't know," Dan Heng replied, his voice calm and stoic as he shook his head. He didn't seem particularly concerned with the captain's physical anomalies.

Rekka shrugged off the bizarre sensation. "Whatever. Come on, let's see if we can hack into Mr. Yang's dream. I want to see what kind of wild stuff the old man dreams about."
