Chapter 320 - Welt Out of Control

Chapter 320: Welt Out of Control

[Welt: Himeko's new equipment is indeed incredibly powerful. However, the Herrscher of Flamescion armor set originates from my homeland. It looks exactly as I remember it.]

[Welt: There is a story behind this armor, if anyone is interested...]

[March 7th: It's from Uncle Yang's home world? Can our Chat Group actually pull items from our own universes now?]

[Stelle: March, stop talking so much! I want to hear the story! Uncle Yang, tell us quickly!]

Subsequently, Welt began to recount the tragic legend of a Valkyrie named Himeko Murata to the curious young members of the group, such as Stelle, March 7th, and Paimon.

He spoke of a woman clad in brilliant crimson armor. For the sake of protecting her students and the very future of her world, she defiantly swung a greatsword of rebellion. She imbued that final strike with all her convictions and her very life, charging at seemingly unconquerable gods and an inescapable fate.

He omitted the more gruesome details, hiding away too many names and the raw, bleeding pains of that era. He only extracted the core spirit of her courage and ultimate sacrifice.

Everyone who listened to this brief yet incredibly heavy tale fell silent.

[Stelle:...The other Teacher Himeko is also so great.]

[March 7th: For her students and the future... It sounds so heartbreaking, but also so admirable...]

[Paimon: Paimon feels a lump in her throat just listening... That Miss Himeko is a true hero.]

[Belle: In different worlds, those named Himeko are all so reliable and strong.]

Meanwhile, the Himeko of this universe sat quietly aboard the Astral Express. She listened to the subtle undercurrents trembling beneath Welt's usually calm narration. She could vividly picture the final choice of someone who shared her name, and perhaps even possessed a similar appearance.

Her chest tightened. What welled up inside her was not merely a resonance between parallel existences, but an indescribable, suffocating heartache.

She felt a particular sorrow for the young girl in Welt's story—Kiana. A girl forced to grow up far too quickly, suddenly burdened with such a crushing weight of hope.

Himeko's lips parted. She wanted to ask what happened to that girl afterward. Had she ever emerged from those dark shadows? Did she eventually find happiness? But as she looked at the Chat Group interface, she seemed to perceive the deep, unhealed sorrow hidden just behind Welt's measured words. It was a scar he clearly did not want touched. Himeko gently swallowed the questions that had risen to her throat.

Some pasts demanded respect. They were not meant to be forcibly pried open. She simply kept this heartache and deep reverence locked silently within her chest.

The echoes of a distant past rippled quietly through the cross-world Chat Group, leaving behind a deep emotion and a silent, shared care.

Welt responded to everyone's messages with his usual steady demeanor, but his fingers hovered over the holographic keyboard. He knew that some ripples, once stirred, refused to easily subside.

The shadow of his ruined homeland had already, through the sudden appearance of this familiar crimson armor, cast itself over his current life once again.

The heavy atmosphere lingered in the Chat Group. The poignant tale of another "Himeko" and the "Herrscher of Flamescion" had not entirely dissipated. Everyone remained immersed in the lingering shock and sadness brought about by a spirit of sacrifice that transcended the boundaries of worlds.

However, Stelle's thought process always managed to cut through the tension from a highly peculiar angle.

Her golden eyes narrowed as she acutely caught a specific keyword in Welt's earlier narration. It was a term that shared a highly similar structure and suffix to the item March 7th had just obtained.

[Stelle: Wait! Uncle Yang! I found the key point!]

She immediately fired off the message, shattering the group's solemn silence.

[Stelle: You mentioned a term called 'Herrscher of the Void'in your story just now, right? That name... it clearly sounds like it belongs in the exact same category as that'Core of the Herrscher of Reason'March just drew! They're both'Herrscher of something'! There must be a connection here, right?]

Stelle's words were like a massive boulder hurled into the fragile, calm lake of Welt's mind—a lake he had just painstakingly forced into stillness.

She had absolutely no idea what this seemingly simple association meant to a man who understood the apocalyptic significance behind the word "Herrscher."

Almost the instant Stelle's message materialized on the screen, Welt, standing far away in Herta Space Station, reacted. It was a response that completely shattered his normal, composed boundaries.

Core of the Herrscher of Reason?!

Those six words acted like a jagged ice pick, instantly piercing through the calm facade he had barely managed to maintain.

His breath hitched. He knew all too well that a Herrscher Core was fundamentally different from a set of Valkyrie armor. A Herrscher Core possessed the genuine potential to manifest a true Honkai eruption.

In that split second, Welt's rational mind short-circuited. A deep-seated, instinctual stress response—forged in the fires of countless apocalyptic wars—erupted from his very soul.

Buzz—!!!

A deep, deafening hum tore through the room. It sounded as if the fabric of space itself was wailing in agony. The sound exploded without a single warning, with Welt standing at the absolute epicenter.

His cane—the Star of Eden—activated entirely on its own, forcefully drawn out by his violently fluctuating emotions and surging power.

In a fraction of a second, an invisible yet overwhelmingly crushing gravitational field descended upon the room.

The spatial light within dozens of meters around Welt violently twisted and warped. The air thickened into a suffocating, glue-like consistency. Small objects resting on the nearby desks—data pads, delicate instrument parts, coffee mugs—were instantly crushed flat, groaning as they deformed under the invisible, crushing weight.

The space station's highly reinforced alloy floor shrieked under the immense pressure. Spiderweb-like cracks rapidly spread outward from beneath Welt's shoes.

This sudden, catastrophic shift caught Sunday and Herta entirely off guard.

Sunday's shoulders jerked downward. He felt his entire body sink as if a mountain had suddenly been dropped onto his spine. Even his breathing forcibly stalled in his chest.

A rare look of genuine astonishment cracked his usually elegant, composed expression. Almost instinctively, a soft, harmonious golden glow rippled outward from his body. The power of The Harmony flared to life, desperately attempting to soothe the violent energy fluctuations and stabilize Welt's spiraling emotions.

Herta's reaction, however, was far more direct and intensely hostile.

Her puppet body swayed dangerously the moment the gravitational field slammed into her, but her internal gyroscopes immediately forced her upright.

A brief flicker of surprise crossed her porcelain face, instantly replaced by a storm of intense fury.

"Welt!" she demanded sharply, her voice cutting through the oppressive hum. "What in the world are you doing?!"

Simultaneously, as the absolute master of the space station, her digital will instantly hardwired into the station's core control system.

A grander, far more precise, and carefully controlled artificial gravitational field generated in a microsecond. It swept through the room like an invisible comb, forcibly smoothing, neutralizing, and counteracting the anomalous gravity well created by the Star of Eden.

The two invisible forces violently collided. They annihilated each other in mid-air, emitting an even more grating, low-frequency vibration that rattled the teeth of everyone present.

Herta's deep, synthetic eyes locked onto Welt. They burned with offended fury and utter confusion at this inexplicable loss of control. "Are you trying to tear down my space station?!"

The violent kinetic conflict raging outside, coupled with Herta's furious shout, acted like a bucket of freezing water. It finally yanked Welt out of the suffocating abyss of his memories—a nightmare filled with the deafening roar of Honkai energy and apocalyptic visions that the mere word "Herrscher" had instantly dragged him back into.

He jolted violently. His pupils constricted to pinpricks as he immediately realized the severity of his loss of control.

Almost reflexively, he forcibly severed his energy connection with the Star of Eden. He concentrated his mind, rapidly reining in and dismantling the uncontrollably spreading gravitational field.

The oppressive hum abruptly ceased. The twisted, warped light snapped back to normal.

Only the scattered, crushed mess on the floor and the lingering energy ripples in the air—which had not yet fully subsided—remained as obvious proof that those heart-stopping few seconds were not merely an illusion.
