Chapter 65 - Killing Corvus Glaive

Corvus Glaive was overwhelmed with absolute, soul-crushing grief. His face, already grotesque by human standards, contorted violently, forming a stark, hideous contrast to the gentle, pristine smile still resting on Su Mu's face.

The legendary glaive tore through the air, generating a deafening howl as it slashed directly toward Su Mu's neck.

However, this devastating strike—an attack capable of effortlessly slicing through the Hulk's dense hide—came to a dead halt exactly five meters away from the white-haired boy.

Looking at Corvus Glaive, who was roaring with incomprehensible, animalistic fury, the warm smile on Su Mu's face began to warp into something deeply, sadistically entertained.

He deliberately began to shrink the absolute perimeter of the Limitless. He carefully orchestrated the illusion that his invisible defense was buckling under Corvus Glaive's relentless assault, while simultaneously putting on a highly exaggerated, theatrical display of panic.

"Oh, how terrifying! You're so close to cutting me! Please, don't come any closer!"

Completely drowned in his own rage and hatred, Corvus Glaive naturally failed to notice the mocking, playful glint in Su Mu's crystalline blue eyes. Seeing the man who murdered his wife seemingly losing ground, a surge of fanatic excitement overtook his grief.

I can win! His defense isn't truly flawless!

Corvus Glaive swung his weapon with blinding speed, whipping up a localized hurricane within the command bridge. With every furious strike, Su Mu perfectly timed the retraction of his Limitless, allowing the alien general to push closer and closer.

Finally, Corvus breached the final gap, standing directly in front of Su Mu.

Unable to contain his absolute ecstasy, Corvus Glaive roared at the top of his lungs:

"Die, you lowly Earthling!"

Watching the razor-sharp blade screaming toward him, Su Mu played his part perfectly. He flashed a look of sheer, panicked terror, wildly and clumsily throwing his bare hand up in a desperate, seemingly futile attempt to block the weapon.

Seeing this, Corvus Glaive could already picture the glorious outcome. The blade would effortlessly sever the Earthling's arm before splitting his skull perfectly down the middle!

His wife's murder would be avenged!

But in the very next microsecond... the supersonic, atom-splitting glaive was casually caught by a single, slender index finger.

Under Corvus Glaive's absolute, reality-shattering disbelief, the apocalyptic momentum of the weapon shifted from extreme motion to extreme stillness in a fraction of a millisecond!

Then, he watched as the terrified expression on the Earthling's face completely melted away. The panic and despair were instantly replaced by pure, unadulterated mockery and amusement.

"Hahaha... your expression is absolutely priceless! Did you actually think you could win?"

Su Mu clutched his stomach, looking at the spectacular mix of fanatic excitement, utter bewilderment, and paralyzing shock frozen on Corvus Glaive's face. Unable to hold it in any longer, Su Mu burst into a fit of manic, booming laughter!

Finally realizing he had been completely, utterly played for a fool, Corvus Glaive lost whatever shreds of sanity he had left. Amidst Su Mu's mocking laughter, the alien general let out a blood-curdling roar, pouring every single ounce of his cosmic strength into one final, desperate downward cleave.

But the glaive—fabled to be capable of parting atoms—remained completely immobilized against a single, seemingly fragile index finger. It couldn't advance a single millimeter. It didn't even leave a faint white mark on the boy's skin!

Faced with this absolute, insurmountable chasm in power, Corvus Glaive screamed in pure despair, "NO!"

Su Mu casually picked his ear with his free hand, then slowly began to walk forward.

The absolute perimeter of the Limitless began to expand once again. Corvus Glaive continued to furiously hack and slash with his weapon, but contrary to his efforts, the distance between him and Su Mu violently widened, instantly pushing him back to the original five-meter mark!

Su Mu didn't stop walking. He continued moving forward, using the invisible wall of spatial pressure to violently pin Corvus Glaive against the reinforced metallic bulkhead of the bridge.

As Su Mu stepped closer, Corvus Glaive's body was forcefully embedded deep into the metal. His skin began to tear, and his bones groaned under the crushing weight.

Of course, simply pressing him against a wall wouldn't achieve this level of destruction. Su Mu was simultaneously applying a repulsive wave of Red from the opposite direction. Corvus Glaive wasn't just being crushed against the wall; he was being violently ground into paste between two opposing, apocalyptic forces of spatial repulsion!

"AAAGH!"

Under the crushing pressure, Corvus Glaive's physical vessel rapidly disintegrated. However, because he possessed an extreme regenerative healing factor, even as his body was reduced to a mangled puddle of flesh and shattered bone, he refused to die.

Vibrating his remaining, exposed vocal cords, he spat blood and laughed maniacally.

"Hahaha! You cannot kill me! And one day, I will return to slaughter you!"

Faced with Corvus Glaive's confident provocation, Su Mu's smile didn't waver in the slightest.

"Hmm, that is true," Su Mu nodded thoughtfully. "If I don't destroy the glaive that currently hosts your soul, it's impossible to truly kill you. Your flesh will regenerate infinitely. With that blade, you've essentially achieved functional immortality."

The maniacal laughter instantly froze on the mangled remains of Corvus Glaive's face. "How... how do you know my secret?!"

But his arrogance quickly returned.

"So what if you know?! My glaive is completely indestructible! Even Lord Thanos himself cannot shatter it, let alone a primitive Earthling like you!"

"Is that so?"

Using localized gravity, Su Mu casually pulled the dropped glaive across the room and into his grasp. He gripped the weapon tightly, and jagged, black-red lightning violently erupted from his palm.

BOOM!

Even striking it directly with the amplified kinetic force of a Black Flash, the alien metal remained completely pristine.

Seeing this, Corvus Glaive's laughter returned, louder and more arrogant than before.

"Did you honestly think a mere Earthling could destroy my blade? Keep dreaming!"

Su Mu wasn't the least bit angry at the provocation. Instead, he looked at the squirming pile of flesh with profound pity and amusement.

"You know, I've encountered a lot of things that claimed to be 'indestructible,'" Su Mu mused lazily. "The most notable one recently was the Destroyer Armor, forged by the All-Father of Asgard. I wonder... is your little stick here tougher than Odin's masterpiece?"

The arrogant sneer on Corvus Glaive's mangled face instantly vanished.

As a high-ranking cosmic general, he was naturally well aware of the Asgardian Destroyer Armor and the apocalyptic, Celestial-battling power it represented. No matter how much faith he had in his glaive, he absolutely did not suffer from the delusion that it was superior to Odin's ultimate weapon.

A chilling wave of panic finally washed over him.

"What... what are you going to do?"

Su Mu didn't answer. He had had his fun.

He tightened his grip on the weapon. A blinding azure light condensed in his palm, immediately followed by a terrifying black-red singularity.

The two opposing infinities violently collided and merged, giving birth to a terrifying, crackling sphere of deep purple imaginary mass!

"Hollow Technique: Purple."

Faced with a conceptual singularity capable of erasing the very fabric of space itself, the supposedly "indestructible" glaive began to visibly, immediately disintegrate!

Every single atom that came into contact with the purple sphere was instantaneously erased from existence. Not even a microscopic trace of ash was left behind!

As the blade was slowly erased, Corvus Glaive let out a horrifying, blood-curdling shriek of absolute agony. His very soul was anchored to the weapon, and as the metal was erased from reality, his soul was being violently, conceptually annihilated along with it.

Whether it was out of a sadistic sense of poetic justice or pure entertainment, Su Mu—who could have easily erased the weapon in a fraction of a millisecond—deliberately slowed the process down, forcing the alien general to experience every agonizing second of his soul's erasure.

Finally, after several excruciating minutes, Corvus Glaive's horrific screams faded into silence. The squirming, regenerating mass of flesh pinned to the wall went completely, permanently still. Absolute, deathly silence reclaimed the bridge.

The strongest warrior of the Black Order, the supposedly immortal vanguard of the Mad Titan, had been effortlessly and permanently executed by Su Mu.
