Chapter 98 - Kryptonian-Brand Batteries

A few days later, NASA's emergency rescue satellites detected an anomaly. Soon after, relevant personnel discovered a bizarre signal emanating from Ellesmere Island. Soldiers were dispatched to investigate, and upon arriving in the Arctic, they uncovered a peculiar alien spacecraft.

This was a vast, boundless world of white—freezing, desolate, and covered in snow and ice year-round.

It was an environment utterly hostile to human survival. Even with adequate thermal gear, there was a constant, looming threat of freezing to death.

But today, whatever was buried deep beneath this desolate ice shelf had drawn the outside world's absolute attention. American soldiers set up camp nearby, determined to investigate exactly what the massive object beneath the glacier was.

Inside one of the tents, even with the heaters running at maximum capacity, the biting cold couldn't be entirely dispelled. Yet, a group of acquaintances huddled together, working tirelessly. Their intense curiosity about the object beneath the ice was enough to make them completely ignore the freezing temperatures as they excitedly discussed their findings.

And right at this moment, the future female lead—the powerful woman who, with a mere mortal body, could somehow withstand Superman's "plowing"—Lois Lane, arrived at the military camp to negotiate with the US soldiers.

Worthy of the woman who could tame Superman, she faced down a commanding officer all by herself without losing an ounce of momentum, even forcing Colonel Hardy, the man in charge of the sector, to yield.

Lois Lane entered the laboratory, standing alongside Dr. Emil Hamilton and Colonel Hardy as they listened to a technician's briefing:

"The ice shelf severely interfered with our echo-sounding, but there is definitely something down there... The ice surrounding that object is nearly 20,000 years old!"

Hearing this, everyone present revealed expressions of absolute disbelief. In that era, humanity was still in a primitive, ignorant state. They couldn't even survive in this current environment, let alone construct such a colossal, advanced creation.

Was it truly a trace left behind by aliens, or perhaps the ruins of an ancient, prehistoric civilization?

The light in Lois Lane's eyes grew exceptionally bright. She knew this was an absolute, world-shaking discovery.

By nightfall, the surrounding environment grew even more freezing. Although the soldiers had strictly forbidden her from wandering around, Lois Lane—a woman who could conceptually box with Superman and not lose ground—wasn't exactly known for her obedience. She braved the biting, freezing winds and sneaked out into the night with her camera, hoping to capture something. Instead, she spotted a humanoid figure walking off into the distance.

Curious, she followed him. Soon after, she was violently attacked by a robotic sentry, only to be saved when a strange man suddenly destroyed the machine.

This man was incredibly unique. In temperatures plummeting to -40 degrees Celsius, he was wearing nothing but a tattered white hoodie, yet he didn't seem to feel the cold in the slightest. Lois Lane felt a surge of genuine fear. There was absolutely no one down in this subterranean cavern who could help her. If this strange man suddenly let his primal urges take over, even if they violently wrestled for hundreds of rounds, no one would ever know.

Following a series of tackles, heavy panting, and screaming, the chaos finally settled.

Clark was quite responsible. He not only helped cauterize Lois's wound to stop the bleeding, but also safely returned the disheveled woman to the surface.

Shortly after, the alien spacecraft violently broke through the ice and vanished from the area. Lois Lane, having been saved by Superman, lay on the glacier until she was discovered and rescued by a military helicopter.

It seemed as though everything had come to a temporary close. But what they didn't know was that a terrifying extraterrestrial faction had detected Earth's existence through the signal broadcasted by the ship. A bloody, cosmic invasion was about to begin!

Meanwhile, in Gotham. Su Mu's absolute priority was leveling up the Six Eyes. As the skill level increased, he would gain even more precise energy control and analytical capabilities, allowing him to adapt to the DC Multiverse's unique energy signatures faster and restore his Mystic Portal's ability to travel anywhere at will.

The System notifications refreshed continuously:

\[System Notification: Six Eyes EXP +1\]

\[System Notification: Six Eyes EXP +1\]

\[System Notification: Six Eyes EXP +1\]

...

\[System Notification: Six Eyes EXP +1\]

\[System Notification: Congratulations, Skill 'Six Eyes' has leveled up!\]

\[Six Eyes Lv.5 (1/20000): Grants 360-degree long-range vision, the ability to physically see the flow of energy, astonishing dynamic tracking, and X-ray vision. Allows the user to perform absolutely precise energy manipulation, and can even defy the Law of Conservation of Energy by permanently reducing energy consumption!\]

A massive deluge of esoteric information flooded Su Mu's mind, quickly absorbed by his hyper-processor brain. Moments later, having fully assimilated the memories, he immediately noticed the staggering changes in his perception.

His visual range had undergone another massive, exponential expansion, multiplying tenfold! At Level 4, his precise microscopic vision spanned 10 kilometers, while his blurry macroscopic vision reached 100 kilometers. Now, at Level 5, his absolute precise vision covered a staggering 100 kilometers, and his macroscopic vision extended to 1,000 kilometers!

Furthermore, this visual range could now be actively enhanced by injecting energy. If Su Mu flooded the Six Eyes with his massive reserves, he could multiply that visual radius several times over!

More importantly, the Six Eyes had developed a brand-new, terrifying conceptual trait.

In the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, the Six Eyes allowed the host to utilize cursed techniques with infinitesimally close to zero wasted energy, exponentially increasing their stamina. Because of this trait, Gojo Satoru could cast his Domain Expansion multiple times a day and virtually never run out of cursed energy.

However, because Su Mu's absolute energy reserves were so astronomically massive—operating on an entirely different dimensional scale than Gojo Satoru—even the Level 3 Six Eyes couldn't achieve that "near-zero loss" state. It wasn't until Level 4 that he finally achieved near-perfect energy efficiency.

But with this upgrade to Level 5, the Six Eyes had undergone a true qualitative metamorphosis. Not only did it ensure zero wasted energy, but it could now actively reduce the fundamental baseline energy cost required to cast a skill!

While it might sound simple, this was practically a reality-warping, conceptual ability. It meant Su Mu could cast his devastating apocalyptic skills at a permanently reduced cost, yet still perfectly generate the exact same maximum destructive output!

This fundamentally violated the Law of Conservation of Energy!

Su Mu was incredibly excited about the future potential of this trait. If the Level 5 Six Eyes already possessed such a terrifying, reality-breaking characteristic, what kind of apocalyptic traits would it unlock at even higher levels?

As the Six Eyes continued to level up, would he eventually reach a state where he could spam his most devastating abilities infinitely without consuming a single drop of energy?

Hmm?

Pressing a hand down on Selina—who was currently diligently "cleaning up" beneath him—Su Mu noticed something within his vastly expanded macroscopic vision: a humanoid biological entity flying at hyper-sonic speeds.

Injecting energy into the Six Eyes, the entity's appearance rapidly cleared up. Massive amounts of radiation from the yellow sun were continuously interacting with the man's body, passively and endlessly enhancing his muscles, senses, and physical limits.

This man, floating in the sky and loudly ruining people's sweet dreams with his joyful shouts, was none other than Clark Kent, Superman.

It seemed he was utilizing his bio-electric aura to achieve true flight for the very first time, looking incredibly thrilled.

Seeing Su Mu fall deep into thought, his attention clearly no longer on the current "activities," Selina felt a bit annoyed. She tried to reclaim her boss's attention to grant her more pleasure.

"Boss~ What are you thinking about?" Selina whispered in his ear, her sweet, sticky voice dripping with irresistible charm and seduction.

But her efforts were destined to fail. The new discovery had completely killed Su Mu's current mood, sobering him up instantly.

Superman had already acquired his suit and learned to fly. Su Mu now knew the exact timeline!

General Zod and his loyalists were arriving imminently. The Black Zero event was about to begin, and his shiny new "tools" were about to be delivered right to his doorstep.

Su Mu pinched Selina's cute face, originally intending to lean down and kiss her. But catching a glimpse of the corners of her mouth, he forcefully slammed the brakes on that thought, opting instead to kiss her on the forehead.

"Selina, I'll give you the rest of your reward later. We have work to do."

Selina pouted, looking incredibly unsatisfied, but she knew better than to try and change her terrifying boss's mind. She couldn't help but ask curiously, "What kind of work?"

"We're going to catch some aliens to use as batteries. They are highly acclaimed cosmic batteries. Everyone who uses a Kryptonian-Brand Battery leaves a five-star review!"

Selina: "???"

A few days after Su Mu spotted Superman, an extraterrestrial warship descended from the heavens and violently hijacked the global network.

Every single screen connected to the internet was overridden with static. A man's silhouette faintly appeared amidst the distortion, broadcasting a chilling demand for someone named Kal-El, threatening the absolute destruction of Earth if he wasn't surrendered.

To protect Earth, Clark turned himself over to the US Military and subsequently boarded the Kryptonian ship. There, he uncovered General Zod's apocalyptic agenda: using a World Engine to terraform Earth's atmosphere and gravity to match Krypton's.

However, doing so would completely eradicate humanity, as they wouldn't be able to survive the altered ecology!

This was an absolute line Clark refused to cross.

He escaped back to Earth with Lois Lane. But the moment they landed, Clark realized his adoptive mother had been taken hostage by the Kryptonians. He instantly launched himself into the sky, rocketing toward his mother!

A brutal clash with General Zod ensued. Clark managed to shatter Zod's sensory-filtering helmet, exposing the General to Earth's overwhelming sensory input. Unable to instantly adapt to the agonizingly sharp super-senses, Zod was incapacitated and forced to retreat.

However, several Kryptonian warriors stayed behind, including the ruthless Sub-Commander Faora.

The US Military had arrived on the scene, but their proudest, bleeding-edge weaponry was utterly useless against the Kryptonians. Neither heavy machine gun fire nor anti-tank missiles could inflict a single scratch. They were forced to leave everything to Superman.

But faced with multiple highly trained, super-powered Kryptonian soldiers, even Superman was temporarily overwhelmed and beaten down.

Watching the live battlefield feed from the command center, General Swanwick couldn't help but feel a suffocating wave of despair. Was humanity truly facing absolute extinction?

But just then, he noticed something impossible on the satellite monitors. Two figures were casually strolling directly into the apocalyptic warzone.

They weren't panicking in the slightest. It looked like they were on a leisurely afternoon stroll. Shockingly, neither the deafening explosions nor the stray high-caliber bullets flying everywhere could harm them in the slightest!

"Soldier! Focus the cameras on those coordinates! Who the hell are they?!"

Su Mu slowly strolled onto the ruined battlefield. The nano-symbiote covering his body autonomously writhed and shifted, perfectly mimicking his favorite white button-up shirt. He formed a pair of stylish sunglasses over his eyes using the nanobots and looked into the distance alongside Selina, who was similarly clad in a sleek nano-symbiote combat suit.

The Kryptonians were completely ravaging the battlefield, effortlessly destroying humanity's home. Human technology was less than tissue paper before them.

Selina felt a severe lack of confidence.

"Boss... can we really capture these Kryptonians? They're literal, unkillable monsters!"

Looking at the Kryptonians ahead, Su Mu's crystalline blue eyes were filled with absolute, unadulterated greed. He wiped a non-existent drop of drool from his mouth and replied cheerfully:

"Selina, have a little faith in yourself! The nano-symbiote you're wearing has been infused with a fraction of my absolute power. Right now, you can effortlessly beat the absolute crap out of an ordinary Kryptonian!"

Su Mu lightly tapped a finger against Selina's chest. A terrifying surge of conceptual cosmic energy flowed from his fingertip directly into the symbiote, completely overriding and activating its absolute combat matrix!

"You have twenty minutes. But that's more than enough. Go get 'em, my little Cat-Beast!"

An endless, apocalyptic wellspring of raw power erupted from within, causing Selina to involuntarily let out a soft moan. She clenched her fists, feeling the sheer, terrifying kinetic potential coursing through her veins. Compared to her original baseline, her strength had multiplied by dozens, if not hundreds of times!

The previously blindingly fast Kryptonians suddenly looked as if they were moving in slow motion. The terrifying power she had feared just moments ago now felt entirely trivial!

She planted a quick kiss on her boss's cheek and instantaneously vanished from her spot, violently shattering the sound barrier. She materialized directly in front of Sub-Commander Faora and threw a punch, launching the Kryptonian warrior flying through multiple buildings!

"Wow... so cool!"

Selina stared down at her own petite fist, her eyes wide with absolute, vibrating excitement.
