And now!

BOOM!

Right in the heart of the Kululu Archipelago, a terrifying roar suddenly erupted. Flames shot straight into the vault of heaven, and the resulting shockwave rippled far into the distance.

"Haha! Give it up, Great White Ape! You're no match for me!" a crisp laugh rang out from the depths of the forest, echoing across the entire island.

ROAR!

In response came a howl of defiant rage that seemed to shake the very skies.

What was happening? How could there be a human on this island?

Deep within the dense jungle, beneath a waterfall that had clearly been carved out by hand, a massive, fanged ape stood glaring in fury. Its body was riddled with fist-sized bloody gashes, and its fur was matted and dull. It breathed heavily, looking utterly battered and ragged.

Standing opposite the beast was a youth of barely seventeen, wearing nothing but an animal-skin loincloth.

He wasn't classically handsome, but he possessed a striking, rugged charm. With bold brows and piercing eyes, his clear gaze held an endless depth that could effortlessly draw someone in. There wasn't an ounce of wasted fat on his lean, well-proportioned frame. His short, messy hair danced in the wind. With a broad chest and a narrow waist, he stood firmly, gripping a bizarrely shaped pistol in each hand.

Much like the Great Ape, the youth was covered in wounds. Yet, his aura was like a roaring river—heavy, untamed, and relentless. His very blood seemed to boil with battle lust. A faint white mist swirled around him, born from the water vapor condensing off the sheer heat of his rapidly accelerating cellular respiration.

His name was Zhang Quanling—or rather, Loner Shirokami, which roughly translated to "The Solitary Zhang Quanling."

Zhang Quanling was his name from his previous life. "Loner" was his chosen translation for a solitary soul, and "Shirokami" (White Water) was formed by splitting the Chinese character for "Spring" (Quan) from his old name. It was the only way he could think of to honor his past life.

He did not belong to this world.

Originally from the great Celestial Empire, he was a wandering soul destined for hell. Yet, by some bizarre twist of fate, he had crossed over into this universe. On the brink of dying from thirst, he had accidentally eaten a Devil Fruit known as the Neng Neng no Mi (Energy-Energy Fruit). He traded his ability to ever swim again for a rather fantastic power.

Because of this, he cherished this second lease on life with every fiber of his being.

Moreover, during the transit from hell to his rebirth, he finally found the answer to something that had plagued him for a long time. Those dreams he used to have... they were real! In a previous existence, he truly had transmigrated to the world of Naruto and become its absolute sovereign.

The only tragedy was that the power system of the Naruto world directly clashed with the laws of this one. He couldn't inherit any of his old abilities, nor could he even use his old name, Himura Yoru.

If he wanted to survive, he had to start his training from scratch. However, with the experience of a lifetime of cultivation under his belt, the process was naturally much easier for him than for an ordinary person.

And so, to stay alive, he embarked on a brutal journey of survival, engaging in a day-and-night battle of wits and brawn against the island's monsters.

That struggle had lasted for five long years.

Over those five years, he had challenged practically every fierce beast in the Kululu Archipelago and beaten them all. This Great Ape was his final target. It was the undisputed strongest predator in the islands, holding the title of "King of the Forest."

Once he defeated this forest king, it would be time to set sail.

He hadn't been driven insane by the sheer monotony of the past half-decade solely because he had a crystal-clear goal keeping his frustration at bay. But now, his physical strength had plateaued. The beasts of the Kululu Archipelago could no longer push him past his limits.

Besides, after being stranded here for five years, he had absolutely no clue where he was in the world, nor what point in the timeline he was currently in.
