The First Spark
Laura was fifteen when she first noticed Daniel.
It was not anything dramatic. No falling books or accidental touch. Just a quiet moment in class when their eyes met and something unspoken passed between them. Daniel was the kind of boy everyone liked. He was gentle, funny, and always ready to help.
They started as friends.
Sharing notes turned into sharing snacks. Soon, after school walks became their routine. Laura found herself smiling at her phone more often, waiting for Daniel's messages.
"Goodnight, star girl," he would text.
And just like that, her heart belonged to him.
