Chapter 61 - Camp Γ

Threading through the forest felt like hell this time. The air was hot, the bugs were everywhere, and the four of them were dehydrated to shit by now. They had been walking through this place for around 2 hours, without any sort of water, food, or rest. It was taking a toll on their bodies, especially Bhyngaux, who looked like he was about to fall apart with the stitches leaking a weird sort of puss and blood combination.

Drew was pretty much on the verge of death, barely hanging onto whatever strength he had left. All of that, until his body collapsed.

The last thing he saw was Nicola and Lukas looking over him, and watching him lose consciousness. His soul felt like it was swimming through nothing for what felt like an eternity. His mind has nothing but past experiences to stop him from going mad.

He then in an instant, jolts up in a cold sweat. He looks around to see the three of them looking worried at what just happened.

"Oh shit…! What happened…" Drew rubs his bruised forehead.

"Your heart stopped…" Lukas says. "We all thought you died or something…"

"Oh wow… how far along are we…?" Drew gets up, and wipes off some dirt off of his legs. Who knew someone could recover from almost dying that fast.

"I think I see the end of the forest about… 20 meters away from here… give or take" Nicola told them. "If you can stand just fine then we should probably get going over there…" He grabs Lukas' hand for some reason, and starts to run with him.

"Why do you keep grabbing my hand for…" Lukas whispered.

"Why not…?" He responded. "Also , you remind me of someone I used to know, so this calms me down I guess…" Lukas sighed, and kept up with his pace. Drew and Bhyngaux both watch that happen, before they both realise that they probably should be going with them right now.

It only took Nicola and Lukas about a minute to get out of the forest, and the view they got was pretty cool. Especially with the mountains in the background, sort of encasing the surrounding area with a form of protection against the outside world. The sun also was shining the bowl landscape with its beautiful June rays. The whole area would've been perfect, if camp Γ wasn't placed dead centre in the middle. The ugly ass building with the tacky Γ symbol right above it, really took down the value of the place. Lukas actively gagged when he saw the camp, pissing him off to no end.

"Whelp, we're here I guess…" Nicola lets go of Lukas' hand, and walks closer. Then, Drew and Bhyngaux show up, and also witness this beautiful sight being ruined by the camp.

They all start to scale down the hill that they were on. Wondering how in the hell a van, truck or even a car would be able to get here. Since there was no opening in sight. They managed to climb all the way down, with minimal scratches, and they looked at the ugly building in front of them. Lukas goes over to Drew, and begins whispering into his ear.

"You think Ethan and Arthur are here…?" Lukas asked.

"Maybe… but we can't be sure just yet…" Drew replied.

"Hey… guys…? I think… that I am… going to… stay here…" Bhyngaux announced. Nicola was going to say otherwise, but then he realised that this would probably be for the best. They all watch, as Bhyngaux walks back into the forest, and only leaves his head for the public to see. Lukas was honestly grateful that he wouldn't have to see this humanoid bear for a little while, but it was still kind of sad to see him go.

Once they made it down to the pathway, they decided to take a little detour route, just so that they wouldn't be spotted. Luckily for them, there were trees shattered around the flat plain that camp Γ was on. They were just close enough that officers inside couldn't look through the windows and spot them. They decided on the left way, weaving and winding through trees and shrubs, making sure that the shade was on them at all times. They did this until they made it all the way to the side, and spotted a vent perfectly placed at the ground level. They make it over there and see that it would luckily fit all of them with some wiggle room. Why someone would make a vent so big, they had no idea.

"Yo! Put on your suit again!" Nicola tells him, which Drew objects reluctantly.

After that, Drew grabbed onto the grate, and pulled on the thing hard. It took him a minute, but in the end, that thing popped right off. Lukas was the first one to go in. with him being the main character in all. I also didn't want him to stare ass ass cheeks the entire time. Nicola followed him shortly after. Since he was the smallest, it wasn't too bad of a time. Plus he could stare at Lukas' ass cheeks the entire time. Drew was the final one in. After he squeezed himself in there, he immediately closed his eyes, not wanting to look at ass cheeks the entire time.

"Ugh… this place fucking STINKS!" Nicola yells, and bangs his fist into the vent. Lukas and Drew both shush him so he'd shut the fuck up.

They all made it to a dead up, where the only way was up. Lukas started scaling the sides, and so did Nicola and Drew from behind. The smell in these vents were absolutely horrible. So bad, that it made Lukas throw up in his mouth, and swallow it all. Not a very fun experience for him.

It only took Lukas a couple of climbs to make it to the top. So he continues his crawling, with Nicola and Drew following suit. He makes it over to an opening into some sort of hallway. The floor seemed to be a lot nicer than Δ. They look down to see two officers, talking to each other about something related to hanging. That sent shivers down Lukas' spine, and set Nicola off once again. He started to hyperventilate, having Lukas and Drew to cover his mouth, and comfort him until he was ok again.

"Ok… yeah…! Yeah, I'm fine now…" Nicola had to reassure them. "Anyway, let's drop down onto these sons of bitches…!" They all get into position, with Lukas on the north side of the grate, and Nicola and Drew on the south side.

"In 3, 2, 1!"
