Chapter 57 - Disguise

"This is soooo disgusting…" Drew whined as he graciously put on all the layers of the gear. Thankfully for him, the person who used to occupy it, was around the same size as him, so at least Drew won't feel uncomfortable, nor have the thing fall off. Viktor, in the meantime, is hiding the body behind some boxes. Drew thought that he was probably going to come back for that later, which made his skin crawl. No time for worrying about that though. We have better things to do.

"Alright guard, let's get going…" Viktor is finally done with hiding the body. Drew did a sigh of relief, with them being able to get a move on again.

Drew uses his new found rifle, that Viktor was slowly regretting him having, to bust down the locked door in front of them. There outside, were two guards staring at them while they did this. Viktor got in between the both of them, and said: "some crazy Stancer tried to pull something, but the guard over here executed him before anything got ugly…" Drew nods his head.

"Was the Stancer the one who got away…?" the guard on the left questioned, with Drew wondering how they already knew about that.

"Probably…" Viktor shrugged his shoulders.

The other guards stare him down, which almost made Drew fumble, but all was good since they also nodded their hands, and walked away. Once they were far enough, Drew sighed with relief; before continuing with their stroll through the place.

Winding through corridors and hallways felt somewhat normal for Drew by now, he had done this sort of thing so many times, that it's sort of second nature.

They both make it to some sort of big ass door after minutes of aimlessly walking around, it seemed to have Viktor's last name, hovering right above it in a golden plaque. The door was also gilded with golden details, and the wood seemed to be burgundy. God DAMN this is tacky.. Drew thought while taking a closer look at the fine details. Viktor then smacked Drew's hand away from the door, saying: "only me and my brother are allowed to touch this door. If you didn't have that AR, I would have every right to kill you…" which sort of set Drew straight a bit.

"Ok. you're going to have to put on the next poker face you can muster…" Viktor warned, even though Drew had a full blown helmet on his head. So a poker face wouldn't do much in his opinion. Viktor put his palms onto the wood, and slowly pushed it open. It made a creaking sound that probably notified whoever was in there.

Drew's eyes widened when he saw the interior of the room.

The first thing he saw was a family portrait right above the boss's chair. It had two young kids in the front, with one looking eerily similar to Viktor. There was also what seemed to be a sister, happily hugging the both of them from behind with a smile on her face. She looked to be a little bit older than her, with blonde hair, and black eyes. She would be what Drew thought Ethan's mother looked like. There didn't seem to be a mother in the farmer, only a very stern looking father.

The second thing Drew noticed was all the golden items scattered around the place, with the company logo of: Ari Inc. plastered poorly right up above all of that. It honestly looked so self-absorbed and tacky, even for someone like this.

A couple of guards lined the walkway over to the desk, in which some scary guy with brown hair and a scar in his left eye sat. He had his hands in a crossed position, with his elbows laying down on the table. He seemed to be glaring into Drew's soul, completely ego-ing his own brother in the process. Viktor didn't seem to care in the slightest. In fact, he looked like he was about to fall asleep. Drew guessing that the lack of his favourite activity, his brain just slowly shuts itself down.

"Why are you here Viktor…?" Who Drew guessed was Ari, said in a low and monotone voice. Making him sound like some sort of dragon.

"I need you to unlock the door to Sálfræðilegur Dauðaherbergi. I have a plan for them, and I need to be able to access them…" Viktor calmly lied straight to his face. Ari's face darkened a bit, and lowered his head to look at the cleanest table you've ever since in your life. Drew doesn't know what the fuck is going on, but he plays along anyway.

"What are you trying to do with them…?" Ari asked.

"I don't know… shit he's putting me on the spot… maybe make them conjoined from the waist down…?" Viktor spat out.

"Hmm… fine!" Ari agrees to their relief. "I do have one question… what's with the guard…?" Ari points at Drew, making him almost shit his pants. Viktor was right now, thinking of a million exclusives that he could use.

"Oh yeah! Some random fucking Stancer was trying to kill me, and this guard over here…" Viktor showcases Drew in disguise. "Luckily for us, this guard used their knife, and cut their necks, causing the dirty Stancer to choke on his own blood…" Ari seemed pretty impressed with what he had just heard. His face lightened up a bit, at one of his officers saving his own blood relative.

"Wow…! That's incredible…! I'll have to promote you someday…! How about you show me your guard number, and you two can go on with whatever you were doing…" Ari motions with his hands, for Drew to turn around. He does as told, and gets an audible reaction out of Ari. Viktor then whispers for him to turn around again, and he does as told once more.

"Alright then! Go deal with those two for me brother! And don't bother me again for stuff like this for a while. Got it?" Viktor nods his head, and turns around to walk out, Drew follows him out, but his reaction was a bit delayed. That's probably because of the fact that one of the guards standing there, was giving the both of them a death glare. Drew and said guard lock eyes for a second, and Drew turns away immediately.

Once the both of them get far enough away from everyone else, Drew lets out a well deserved sigh. "God DAMN that was stressful" he said before, Viktor motions for him the shut the fuck up.

"We just have to make it the door over there, and they will open it up in a minute…" Viktor reminded him.

They make it over there, and have no idea what to do next. Just standing there for a full minute sounded like torture for the both of them. Drew was playing with the barrel of his new found AR, and Viktor was vigorously tapping his foot.

At least they both felt at ease, as they watched the doors open with grace. Drew was so happy that he finally found Lukas, but was kind of weirded out when he was staring out into the distance.
